How long does a bit lip take to heal

Common Questions and Answers about How long does a bit lip take to heal

lip

I used to take over 100 a day and I have been able to bring that down to about 49 or so, depending on how bad a day I am having. I take 7 at a time, and try to keep it to no more than 7 times a day (7 tylenols at a time 7 times a day) I originally started taking them because of this surgery I had on my mouth, and during the surgery, they nicked a nerve, so I am in pain 24/7. The degree of pain every day is different, but I am always in pain.
Now, the dry flaking skin is above the upper lip where a man would have a mustache. I'm starting to really worry, because I've always had to be concerned about dry lips. Now, it's getting to the point where I'm not able to use much of anything on my lips without some kind of reaction. I'm starting to think my allergies are just getting worse and worse and this may be because of my Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS). This is really getting frustrating.
I know your period is the lining in your uterus which the mirena keeps it thin so obviously keeps mine to nothing since i dont bleed. I am really concerned now as to how long it is going to take me to concieve. I had a friend who got hers pulled out and got pregnant the next day. Now I really wonder when I should get it taken out. Now or when hes here so we can have sex right away.
It happened when my boyfriend was tickling me and accidently hit me in the lip kind of causing me to bit it. It became a little swollen and then a blister formed. Its been there for a few days now and I was wondering how I can treat it to help it heal and go away?
I will go to the doctor soon and see if they say something about it, will ask for them to take a blood test against something if it's possible, I really hope there is a way to cure this. Would be nice to be able to live a little bit normal.
I've been using it for a year and my skin has never looked better. It occurred to me the other day to try a little bit on the dry patch on my lip twice a day. In just a few days, there has been a HUGE improvement. The dry patch is almost gone! Dermal-K is kinda pricey (about $40 for a 4oz jar) so I'm not sure it makes sense to get it just for the occasional dry patch, but I told you I would come back and let you know if I found something that works.
I have a long history of self-destructive behaviours and always when I had managed to abandon one it didn't take long for something else to come up. The only thing that works for me is my own will. Even though it's really, really hard to kick a bad habit, sooner or later you'll need to take control of yourself. I've succeeded in getting rid of several compulsions so far, but not of all. I just wanted to add myself to the list of tongue-biting people out there.
It grew in size and was located at the corner of my mouth, bottom lip, but not solely on the lip...a bit on a bit off. Anyways, day two, I went in and popped it like I normally do a pimple. When I did, whitish fluid came out but the bump was still raised. Along w that, clear fluid couldve been oozing out as well but that could just be from opening it up. It just looked like an open sore at this point which didnt bleed but stayed open.
its kinda like having ur leg going to sleep and that feeling it gets right before u get feeling in it again. and yes. it does take up to a year for it to finally be normal. that is if ur one of the lucky ones that don't have permanent numbness. other than that if after a year it doesn't go away it probably wont. and my dentist sed for me just to get used to it. that it will just be a part of my life forever. its depressing but what can u do, right. live with it, I guess.
I took my first does 10 mins ago and although it say's to start taking them first thing in the morning, I just had to try it now, how long do they take to work? Does anyone else suffer the likes of dull pain sometimes in arms and legs? I take it these are associated with the so called 'acid reflux'? Many thanks in advance for your help.
your neck muscles take a beating and stay sore for a while..try to continue gentle motions to keep circulation going there..gently massage it too..very important. my son had this issue, it became more apparent 2 months after, due to holding it in one place for protection, he also still had some issues with his legs huting and feeling heavy for a while..and has since gone away.
The use of most commercial lip salves made with Petroleum, liquid Paraffin etc will go a long way to making the lips drier. Most of the foods we eat, the chemicals and even too much sunlight can have an impact on our body especially if we are not hydrated enough. Basically, what I'm saying is all these things weaken our immune system and that is what causes our lips to be like this.
Hi, This could be a part of Cheilitis, which is a medical condition involving inflammation of the lip. Or a bad case of Chapped lips , a condition whereby the lips become dry and possibly cracked. It may be caused by the evaporation of moisture. Lip balm can often provide temporary relief, though it should not be used extensively. One should avoid licking their lips as saliva contains the enzyme amylase, which can damage the already compromised lip tissue.
I hope this is sufficient for the healing process.. oh and one more thing how long would it take for this to heal? Sorry if I'm being to persistent with this question,s I'm just really concerned that I may end up with a deformed looking lower lip.
You first have to realize that you can't fix him, but you do have a choice. It's up to you to choose how much more damage you will allow him to do to your finances and to your children. Even without physical abuse, he is abusing himself, his marriage, his relationships, your joint finances and is emotionally absent. Whatever he was before the drinking got out of control, he is not the same person now. If you can't bring yourself to walk out yet, talk to a counselor yourself.
It is safe to take that small amount of oxycodone as directed, but if it's not helping with the pain don't take them. Try avisg advise and put a hot wash rag on the area make the wash rag warm as you can stand it that will cause the cyst to form a head and it may pop on it's own. As soon as it pops the pain will go away. Plus the antibotics will help some with the swelling and pain and make it for a head and it will probably pop on it's own .
He said everything I told him made sense and yes, this was herpes and my symptoms were such as a virus would cause, and we know HSV is a virus. Anyone wanting to take supplements, I would consult a reliable source first; a homeopathic practitioner or anyone who has studied this extensively. Don't just go buying random supplements off the shelf without research or advice. We have a very good natural pharmacy in town who has knowledgeable people.
I can only imagine how your feeling right now, just know you have lots of prayers coming your way and that you are loved and have lots of friends here who will listen. Take it easy and try to relax a bit too. Blessings to you!

I would wake up, and about 1 to 2 hours later I will fall asleep. I had to stop driving because i would fall asleep. I am more alert now, but how long will it take to start feeling normal again??? Will I ever feel normal again???
Of course she informs me of this with NO active blister and after she performed oral sex on me. I began to panic a bit b/c I know that Cold Sores are a form of Oral Herpes...HSV1. Instead of running for the door I really wish to become educated on this topic since cold sores seem so common; although I have not had one in recent memory... ever! SO here it goes... this is my attempt to reassure the research and reading I have done this past week...please advise!
I just need something to take the edge off a little so I can eat a couple times a day. I asked him to give me 15 Tylenol 3's instead....and now I can't bring myself to take one. Damn it all!!!! I realize alot of you probably have no experience with cleft palate, and that it probably even sounds pretty darn gross to you, but its something I was born with and it's all I know...so to me it's normal. Lol. So, sorry if I grossed anyone out with my explanation....BUT...
To Everybody, I have read most of the comments and I also feel that I am either in early stage of getting shingles or developing rashless shingles. I have an intense pain that wraps around from just under my right shoulderblade, under my arm and ends under my right breast. I do have a small row of pink bumps developing on my side that may turn out to be the rash, but since I've never had it or seen shingles I'm not totally sure. I've had the pain, itching and a slight headache for a few days now.
Still feels stiff on that side of mouth and numb at my lip. The elasticity seems to be getting better but will probably take quite a bit of time to get to normal, if it will get to normal. Meanwhile, I chew food on left side of mouth. I have prayed that the stricture problem is resolved for good and the surgery was a complete success. I really don't want to do anything like this again.
Oh bugger the litle hole like fissure is back.. I stopped using the hydro cream a week ago to use anusol.. I am fed up .. lots of bright red blood from a little hole.. Right on my perinium... GGrrrr any one else having this problem...
Thanks, again, Keimyra. :) Ha ha. You are definitely right about producing false symptoms at the cause of worry; my doctor even said that the mind can do strange things if it's determined. I've been doing what I can to make myself comfortable until I get these second results back, and believe I'll find it a bit easier, now. I don't want to jump to, "There is nothing wrong", because if something does turn out to be wrong it will DEVASTATE me.
I also just found out that I am allergic to the chemical PPD, my face is really swollen, my doctor prescribed steroids (Predbusione), its been a day and a half and I havent seen a difference...am I been to anxious with wanting to see a different right away? How long before I start to see an improvement? HELP!!!
I'm a retired nurse and a firm believer that a positive attitude can help heal us---I saw it so many times when I was in practice. Just being able to give up a bit of control and let others help out is also a good thing, I think. Let others pamper you a bit, the worst will be over soon and you'll be on your way back to whatever "normal" is for you!
I don't think anyone meant to minimize your issue - but your post does seem a little bit off topic- some people posting in these addition forums are experiencing acute withdraws which include mental and physical issues including diarrhea, anxiety, depression, vomiting and the list goes on....some are hugging toilet bowls with their laptops next to them on the floor (I might not actually be exaggerating here either:) ) looking for support or understanding about what is happening to them....
