Common Questions and Answers about How long do vyvanse side effects last

i have been taking aderall time release for 3 to 4 yrs. and had severe side effects so i switched to vyvanse. IT NOT WORK RIGHT AWAY but it takes about 3 to 4 months to fully work but once it does it was 100% better for me then adderall. BUT i noticed i stutter A LOT but don;t know y? its so hard for me to talk without messing up what i am saying or i just mumble out sound. its hard for me to listen and understand what people say to me because i hear a totaly different thing from what they said.
Having taken Adderall for years I feel as though the early side effects, good and bad, tend to diminish over time. The "euphoria" won't go away but it will become less noticeable. You can prevent this by taking breaks from the medication. Of course, everyone is different.
Idk if any of this is weird or un-natural but that's just my experience, and it seems odd that I am doing just fine with these 250mg doses and all the other complaints that I've seen on the Internet were only using up to like 80mg and they experienced the side effects in a lil bit stronger sense. My side effects seem to have been only a minor version of itself and not the whole side effect... And if I may add.
This is called Off Label Prescribing. Does anyone here take over 70mg of Vyvanse? If so, how long does it last? I actually called Shire this past weekend and made a product complaint. I told the rep that my meds were wearing off after 4-5 hours & asked if it was possible to get my doctor to write for more than 70mg. She said that the doctor can do anything he wants, he can prescribe as much as he feels the patient needs.
Soo I did I don't like it makes me feel depressed n think to much about life. y this likethat N that like this. Kind of deal. Vyvanse don't last has long has concerta.
dextroamphetamines (including Vyvanse, which is low intensity but has been engineered to last a long time--say, a peak intensity lasting 6 to 10 hours), adderall (which is mix, I think, of a slight variations of some kind of amphetamine), and then of course really intense stuff like methamphetines (which I know very little about, but which has ruined a lot of people's lives--think of it as kind of like crack cocaine, the most addictive and destructive form of coke).
My medication completely kills my appetite. I need help, how can I get my appetite back? I Am underweight, food makes me nauseous, and I naturally have a fast metabolism. I am about 5' 3' tall.
What did the savella side effects do to some people i hear they are horrible?
After I've done all of that, and after I'm about to just lay down and try and try ride it out I take a small swig of 'Pepto-Bismul' and for some reason it seems to neutralize the Vyvanse. The side-effects go away but so does the psychological stimulating feelings of Vyvanse. It's as if it snuffs it out almost completely. I don't know if it's a drug interaction that nobody knows about or if it thins my blood out so that I don't notice any of the effects of Vyvanse, I don't know.
Vyvanse has essentially the same side effects as Focalin. I am an adult taking Vyvanse and have had experience with all other ADHD meds. Vyvanse, though stronger than some meds, seems to step up to the plate where all the others fall short in some way. Focalin/Concerta/Ritalin all helped calmed me down, however did not help with focus and concentration as much.
I've been taking his 40mg vyvanse here and there and it made me feel fantastic. Then last week I took one and I felt like how all of you were explaining. I shrugged it off and just thought it was a bad weekend. Well today I was prescribed vyvanse. I've taken my first 50mg and I don't think i'm going to take the rest. I know I should try and see this out and take the prescription, I highly doubt I am going to. Aderol seems like it is the correct drug for ADD if given in the right quantities.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Are all of these typical, mild side-effects, or did I mention any of the more serious ones that need to be treated as such? ~If I do continue to take this drug, will the side-effects gradually get better or only become worse and worse? ~Are there any permanent side-effects from taking this drug? ~What are the very-real, compromising, and life-threatening risks of taking this drug besides addiction?
i am sorry that there are those that suffer from post-interferon side effects, and i hope i do not become one of them. but what choice do i have with cirrhosis, portal hypertension and varices?
I had side effects with adderall in the beginning but they were not as intense and long term as vyvanse. Right now I don't have any side effects except if I get less than 7 hrs of sleep then I do get tired even on the adderall xr. The side effects went away about a month after I started on the 25mg. I'm going to see a psychiatrist soon and have been trying to decide which one to go with now that I can afford it.
According to my new and now old psychiatrist they do not know the long term effects of altering YOUR body's way of naturally producing its neurotransmitters. Who's to say that the imbalance is a result of your brain trying to balance or being effected by something else in your body that currently needs more attention. There are cases when prescriptions are appropriate, sometimes the only way, I get & support that. Please take them.
I think he was beginning to notice some of the side effects and put two and two together. Anyway, without telling me, he quit the Vyvanse cold turkey 15 days ago. He is still going thru withdrawal. Please, can someone help me? How long will this last? After he first quit taking it, he was angry, suicidal, tired, and was having flu-like symptoms every day.
I'm up to 10 to 15 a day now and take five just to get me moving in the morning. This is no way to live. How long and how hard are the with drawals from it? I don't want to live my life around this drug anymore. Just a word of encouragment some times is what I think I need and to know that I am not alone.
The elementary years are where kids learn all of the basic skills they will need later on in school and in life. How well do you think that child would do in the 6th grade if they were reading at a 2nd grade level and didn't know their addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, much less formulas and writing methods and scientific method?
I know I need to wean the medication slowly but don't know whether I should take 500 mg daily and skip a day and then take it again the next or what is best to do or how long to do it. Could anyone give me any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate any feedback.
i have stopped searching because i've tried it all, and nothing works, plain and simple. i really dont know how people can live like this, or for how long. the only relief i get is an occasional prescription of prednisone, 5 days worth...10 days of relief. 40 mgs a day i gave up looking for its just finding ways to learn to live with it..yippee. good luck..
For some reason I have been able to take less of my narcotics recently---every so often, I seem to have less pain for some reason and will be able to take less medication for a little while---how do the pain killers affect hormones? Both my endo and my most recent doc tested growth hormone with a blood test----I have never heard of a stimulation test for it---what is it called?
but not until the work is done, well he went back into the class room and got all his work finished which actually didn't take him very long to do, he phoned me proud and happy that he got his work done, said ok i am very happy that you have finished your work i will come and pick you up now.
It may be habit-forming if used for a long period of time. Use Vyvanse only as prescribed. Do not share it with others. Abuse of Vyvanse may cause serious heart problems, blood vessel problems, or sudden death.
It could be the meds she is taking they do have side effects, and might be the reasion for the explosions' Perhaps have them evaluated again see if she needs the dosage lowering or the med changing May I ask which med she is taking ? ..
I think the problem is more the Risperdal then the Concerta. Side effects listed for Risperdal include - Aggressive behavior, agitation, anxiety, stiffness or weakness of the arms or legs, tic-like or twitching movements, trembling and shaking of the fingers and hands, trouble sleeping, and twisting body movements. The site said to, "Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur while taking risperidone:" talking about those mentioned above.
However, I have been on Yaz for a few months, and I swear it reverses all the positive effects of Vyvanse (more energy/decreased appetite) because I am so tired and hungry all the time. In the past I have tried Lo-Estrin, Nuva-Ring,& Ortho Tri Cyclen. Does anyone have any recommendations for the perfect pill--i.e. NO WEIGHT GAIN/APPETITE CHANGES----ACNE-----FATIGUE/TIREDNESS or anything else that has worked out well for them? Thanks!!!
Vyvanse is just another amphetamine. All speed, or speed-like products, will produce the symptoms you had, if taken in overdose. If you have that reaction with a normal dose, then you probably do not have ADD.
There are many days where I would love to be home more... Is it weird to be seeing these side effects so long after he has started taking the med? I will def call the doctor today ... Thank you!
Please shed some light on how long that I can expect to have these feelings, how long these discontinuation symptoms will occur and conversely when I might expect the new true Hope medications to start working. Needless to say, what I have described above are all negatives regarding the withdrawals. There are some positives worth noting. I have experienced erectile dysfunction (ED) since age 55.
How are you now? Tremors and shakiness are the side effects of both lithium and Prozac. Excess of caffeine too causes muscle twitching. In your case that could be the cause. No it is not related to Lyme’s disease. Self medication should not be done. Especially in your case when you are on a combination of medication. Hope it helps! Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
