How long do they last? Are they apthuous ulcers or known as canker sores? They can be stress induced. How often do you get them, how big are they and how many do you get at a time?

This helped for about 3 days but then the pain has come back. I have also gotten a few more ulcers to my tongue and some of my gums are swollen. I have lost 9 pounds since the start of this b/c of the pain to eat. Another symptom that I am thinking is related is that I have gotten a severe area of inflamation around my anus. Does hemorrhoids cause this?? Labs for ANA,B12,CBC,BMP,LFTs were all normal. CRP was 3.5(elevated). Md was not concerned about these.

ve delt with long lasting ulcers on my tongue. 2 days ago I gave a woman I met online oral sex, she rode my face and I licked her anus. These two acts went on for several minutes. The next day I got tingling feeling on my lip with a red swollen mark. The following morning I was awoken with shortness of breath and the general ill feeling I got when I first contracted herpes! This is the same malaise feeling and I am having difficult time breathing (shortness of breath).

m 35 weeks today, the past few weeks my tongue has developed these little ulcers.. ALL (ob, family and dentist) my doctors say they are normal with pregnancy and will go away on their own.. I had the mouth ulcers for just about all 72 weeks. There are many solutions here in the US that people have tried (such as mixing liquid benedryl and maalox antacid - you might have them there in Spain?) but nothing really worked for me. So I applied peroxide onto them with a q-tip and tried to disinfect my mouth as best as I could that way. It wasn'ta permanentn solution but it helped for a while then I would do it again.

gave me meds and it all cleared in a week but now I still have loose stool and reacurring ulcers and my tongue is crazy looking giraffe tongue and it hurts and looks hairy and yellow marks,no appetite till this day and its week 10/11 I got tested 4 weeks and it was negative she got tested 3time at 6 weeks after she cheated negative but one of the test the back round didnt clean but it said negative but they redid it to make sur and I took another test at 7 weeks negative ....

Hi there, I'd be careful using L-Lysine ointment on your tongue. It's meant for sores and ulcers. How long have you had the sore on your tongue? Is the sore on top of your tongue or underneath your tongue? Just wondering.

Thank you very much for your comment I would also like to ask I have always had hair like things in the middle of my tongue but after this antibiotic course they grow more especially in the back near the tonsils. How long do you think it is going to last?

I got my tongue pierced about a year and half ago, but I have suddenly got a lot of ulcers in around my mouth and my tongue and gums are swollen and i just wanted to know if that had anything to do with my tongue piercing. my tongue piercing looks pretty normal apart from the fact that my tongue is swollen and the end of it is numb and funny feeling as if i've burnt the to of it.

5 months for HIV, syphillis and herpes all negative. Doctor presribed steroid paste for tongue. When I take it the ulcers on the boarder of my tongue go away only to return a few days later. I am confident I am HIV negative but would like to find out what is causing these ulcers. If you are able to find out please let me know.

All, long story short I had a sore throat covered in pus for three weeks. Completely covered. Attempts to cure with antibiotics didn't work. At the third week I had a positive mono spot test. I felt tired for a full year and am just now recovering. The strange part that makes me worry is that now I constantly have random body pains, flat bald spots on my tongue that heal in about a week, and painful mouth ulcers that last three weeks at a time on a near constant basis.

I am not sure how long before the first time I noticed them they have been there, maybe it was only a month or so when I felt them. There are three small clustered together on one side and only one on the other side of the tongue. They are of same color as the tongue (pale pink), don't hurt at all and only at time (maybe once a week) may feel as there is something on the tongue. I am on Nexium for GERD for the last 4 months.

From what I've read, it is pretty unusual to have recurrent hsv on your tongue. Any advice or suggestions about what is going on, or why it is so bad?
