I still have a sore throat from time to time, and it feels as though my glands in the right side of my neck going to my ear are swollen and somewhat painful. I do lead a busy life in that I work full time, have a 50 minute commute to work, and also go to school full time. I am 56 years old and have never been diagnosed with mono before, so I don't know if the fatigue now is due to mono, or if I've just got so much going on that I am tired all the time.

Since last july, i started to have swollen glands only on my neck and ocassional sore throat which comes on and off and i tried various different ways to get rid of it which didnt seem to help a lot.
My dog has had 4 visits to the vet this last week - due to swollen glands. She has been having problems with her ears, the vet gave me some ointment to put in to help clear the wax. Occasionally the glands would come up and the vet would give an anti-biotic and anti-inflammatory injection.
I had been anay for a few days and came home to Mushu looking as if she had a plastic bag of water around her neck. The Vet said it was the lymph nodes and nothing to do with her ears.
I now have opids in my lungs, grandulomas in my spleen, kidney pole and lungs. My glands in my neck have been swollen for about a year and I recently am running fever everyday, which is kind of nice cause the 100 degree temp outside feels cold to me, lol. I just want to know if there is a life expectancy for me?

That said -sometimes you have more than one thing going on ( caught another illness that left your body susceptible to infection with herpes in the first place ). How do you tell if glands are swollen? I can feel little bumps about the size of the tip of a ball point pen near my groin but I think this is just tissue which I can usually feel and I'm just being extra paranoid because of my exposure (unprotected sex)

About 3 months ago I got swollen lymph nodes under my arms, large, around my neck and under my collar bone, both sides and above my elbows, about 4 glands each side above my elbows. I now have a rash on my forehead and sometimes on my arms, which when I scratch turn bright red, like I could scratch my name in. I have a bright red rash around my neck which disappears when i touch it and reappears brighter after. After a shower it is bright red. Could this be lymphoma??
i assume swollen glands in the neck means inflamed lymph nodes? our 6 yr. old was seen today for a fever and sore throat complaint. the ped. said she has a throat infection and swollen glands and prescribed meds. she did check other areas of her body for glands (at least that is what i think she was feeling for). about 7 weeks ago she had the same thing (tho the whole family passed around a fever/infection). should we be overly concerned that she has been sick like this twice in two months?
About 8 months ago I discovered that my dog had swollen glands in her neck. I went to two different vets who took a sample of the cells on THREE different occassions and each time is came up "Suspicious" but not definative. After 1 day of antibiotics the swelling went down by about 75% however never fully reduced.
I notice again that the size has increased and she is not eating as normal and less active.

My glands in my neck (just under jaw bone and down side of neck) have had a dull ache for the last week or so. i havent acquired a sore throat and feel fine in myself although sometime have had headaches as well.
Today the right side of my groin has started a dull ache as well...could these be connected due to the glands in the areas...
no other glands appear to aching (armpit and stomach)

Still underarm pain, 5 weeks since it started. Would HIV related gland swelling be more generalised? Ie wouldn't it be likely to have swollen glands in his neck and groin as well as arms?
Are lymph nodes usually detectable by touch? Sight? We cannot feel any individual 'nodes' just a general noticable swelling and pain beneath the arms.
There have been no other symptoms that we can think of.
Unfourtnalty a swollen gland appeared under my neck 2 days ago. There is no pain when I touch it what so ever, I told my father about this and he said I had them as a child swollen glands appearing out of no where with no pain, could this be history repeating its self? I was wondering if you could tell me a bit more about the types of swollen glands you were dealing with, and if there was an achiness to them - I feel an achiness in them, or maybe it's the glands pressing on something in my neck, I'm not really sure. But certainly worried.
4 weeks after I noticed burning during urination and about 6 weeks after I started having white discharge. I have had this discharge ever since and just in the past 3 weeks I noticed swollen neck glands, one swollen groin gland and an ongoing ear ache. Do you think the glands are responding to the infection in my body? What about the ear aches?
I have taken a 10 day dose of omnicef in the past 2 months but the discharge remains. I am scared to test knowing I gave my wife something.
The reason I had the test was that I was having a problem with swollen glands around my neck and felt more tired than usual. I really expected the worst, but the test luckily came back negative. So, then I had a test for syphilis, but that too also came back negative. I still have swollen glands around my neck and feel sort of tired.
I was told by the testing facility that the test was 99.97% accurate after 90 days. Should I get re-tested for HIV?
