OK folks, I could use a little encouragement. I'm 9 months post RAI for a toxic nodule. I thought I was doing pretty well on Levo until 2 weeks ago. I had vertigo! Pretty scary if you've never had it before. I must have looked like one of those fainting goats. Every time I sat up, I fell over backwards. It only lasted a day, but I've been dizzy ever since.

What kind of natural medicines do you take? How old are you? How long have you been sick? Can you still work? Children? Siblings? Relatives? (are they all okay?) You would be surprised to see the list of diseases that are tied to this but it can also cause some problems with your heart, vision, etc. many of which can be treated. I think it was around 4-6 calves we lost. We never have trouble calving. Same with the goats. Our live birth rate is usually around 99%. We keep only good mothers and easy kidders. So it has to be the smoke that caused this. We butchered two yearlings that were not in gestation at the time of the smoke/fungicide and their hearts were perfect. We have kept 4-6 doelings from this kidding and are afraid that they too have enlarged hearts.

So my husband and I are trying.. I also have HBP that soars when I have any of the episodes listed. My problem is ... how do I live? Ive basically become a person who ONLY goes to work and comes home to lay down and wait for the next episode. I have tried seeing a therapist which hasnt really helped and I take a 1/2 Xanax when i get myself too worked up. I am on the brink of divorce because my husband doesnt understand and isnt supportive.

Okay, so I have years (like up to three or four) at a time when I am all but asymptomatic. Maybe some PVC's here and there, or a fainting spell due to absolute triggers (pain, low BP, injury, injured loved one etc) once or twice a year, sometimes none. Up until July of this year, I had been nearly "normal" for over three years!!!

Admit you have a problem, and want to get clean. How do you live? Gosh I really wish I knew more about being dependant on opiates while being pregnant. I just dont want to give you any advise that could put you in jeopardy at all. Please, please, please hang in there and know that it will get better. will i not last that long because of the passing out,i was out for 45 minutes on 15th and 35 minutes, the last time,2 days ago,if i could get the doc to call back i'd ask to move the test up sooner,or should i just wait, and hope i feel better?

i read up online about how you can give goats vitamin c and it will boost there immune system so i gave it to our goat with corn (he wouldnt eat it any other way lol) and he got better!

the same way those fainting goats do before they fall over. Again, it only lasts for a few seconds so he maintains balance.

MarieLyn none of us have answers as to how long we have to live. Should we care to live a long life we need to address any issues that shorten our life span. In your situation, yes liver disease can progress with remarkable speed if we don't eat healthy, continue to drink, not exercise, ect. On the other hand we can to a certain degree determine our destiny. I think you have been given a wake-up call and yes, its very scary.

I can tell you from my experience with the boer goats, they do tend to cough occasionally regardless of their age. At least with our goats the coughing is normal and has not ever been a symptom of any health problem. Hope this helps.
