1756970 tn?1314376733 Had you been on anything like concerta before? Reason I ask is that some people (apparantly about 30%) respond to adderall better then concerta. Also, if you had not been on a sitmulant med before, it does take awhile to your body to adjust. If you are used to stimulant meds, then I certainly would think that the celexa or the interaction of the two is the problem. And it well may be that in a few more days, you will adjust.
1367899 tn?1278121440 My sister and I started a blog on Adderall to learn more about the medication along with alternative and complementary ADHD treatment options. Any feedback from users of Adderall or Adderall XR would be greatly appreciated. Topics to be added this week on http://Adderall.org How is Adderall XR different from Adderall? [Adderall vs. Adderall XR] What is Adderall? How to Make Adderall: [Adderall Background Information] What are the best Adderall and ADHD books?
636964 tn?1222990085 Try some good supplements instead but ask your Doctor how your husband should come off it, if that is a way he wants to go, the symptoms you mention do sound like side effects of the Ritalin,
Avatar f tn t even eaten in the past three days. Anyone know how long this will last for? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn (2, 54mg pills) I woke with an irregular heartbeat, and it seemed like it was pounding. I also felt weak and light headed. How long will this last??
Avatar n tn I have done some research and have found nothing good about this drug. She has all side effects. She is on day 1 with NO geodon.
969557 tn?1314370614 Do you mean EEG?? I have had that several times but they showed nothing unusual. I have also had MR, CT, Spinal punction and several other tests. Everything was fine exept the MR showed some inregularities (wich could not be linked to the tics they said). I have been sent around in different hospitals in Norway cause I'm such an "interresting case" and my case has also been braught up in a medical conference.
1756969 tn?1332437163 Couple of thoughts. If the meds you tried were the normal stimulant variety and nothing happened - then that's a pretty good sign you do have ADHD. Even a small amount of those meds on a non ADHD person would have an effect. Unfortunately, with anxiety (which is pretty normal for a person with ADHD), the second something is not working - you tend to freak out and abandon ship.
1575110 tn?1334664635 Hi I am 28 years old I am adhd i was on concerta for two months. Then my dr.changed me to vyvanse he said try it you'll like I think this is for u. Soo I did I don't like it makes me feel depressed n think to much about life. y this likethat N that like this. Kind of deal. Vyvanse don't last has long has concerta.
Avatar f tn Concerta is supposed to last all day, and if its not, and she is already displaying side effects--- then I could see where you would not want to up the dose. Also, sometimes tics can develop after a long time on the meds-- its not always right away. I have heard some positive stories about Vyvanse, which is a long-acting version of Adderal. That has once per day dosing as well.
Avatar m tn But after a life time of hell I thought of little of those side effects which was why last year, I felt stable enough to leave UK and settle in a small Island in the Mediterranean where there are no sophisticated specialist medical facilities nearby. However, things started to wrong about six months ago. Thankfully the depression has stayed away but the side effects have been getting worse and I have had to reduce my dose from 36mg to 18mg.
Avatar n tn Is there anyone out there that can tell me are there any benefits to medication? I only ever read about the side effects and bad experiences people have with them, especially on children! I'm trying to decide whether to put my 7yr old son back on meds after 8 months on concerta with shocking rebound effects at night, which really took it's toll on us. Are they worth it?.
1768088 tn?1409087815 m wondering if all that is going on is A)side effects from adderall B)possible withdrawal symptoms or detoxing from concerta since she's Moody and head & stomach hurt and is pale and clammy and just doesn't feel good (in the past I was dependant on opioids so I know all to well how withdrawal can feel) or C)emotional and mood issues worsening from ADHD not being under proper control. I know to expect some side effects with medication changes. We've been there. Done that.
982251 tn?1248781387 Look up drug side effects for concerta. Maybe changing the medication might help, and it does take some time for the medication and there side effects to clear their system.
Avatar f tn You might want to talk to your doc about reducing your anti anxiety medication. Do you have the same doc for both the concerta and the effexor? Note, Concerta should last about 8 hours while the Vyvannse could go 10 to 12 hours. Also Concerta is a Methylphenidate, while Vyvannse is an Adderall based med and is stronger. You might want to try the Vyvannse again, but increase the dose slower.
Avatar f tn both of the medicines that you are talking about have bad side effects. The best thing you can do for your son would be to look up the side effects to these drungs. My son has been on both of these drugs and it change him,he started having seizures after being on them, witch is a side effect to the medicine. The doctors and schools these days push these drugs on children as if they where candy.
