How does zyrtec d work

Common Questions and Answers about How does zyrtec d work

zyrtec

I have hives on and off my whole life. I just turned 40. The Prednisone does work for me, but I don't want to take it anymore (for obvious reaons) The doctor does know that mine is caused by certain lotions, detergents, and crams I put on my skin. He figured that out a long time ago, when I was 20...The chemistry of lotions and other things such as soaps change on a regular basis. Also, they have discovered I am allergic to latex....when I wore latex gloves in a setting I worked in...
They only seem to be getting worse. When does Gardasil work its way outo f my system? PLEASE please answer. -Sar This discussion is related to Gardasil and side effects.
Doctors ran every type of blood test. We discovered my D was an 18. My parathyroid hormone was also slightly high at 67. My calcium tests came back at a 10.4 and a 10.0. One doctor suggested I had parathyroid disease and sent me to an endo. This was when the real battle ensued. This endo, and his senior doctor, both had to reassure me nothing was wrong with me. It was just a vitamin D issue. But I live in a sunny state.
we need a new thread going here, the others are getting long and hard to keep track of.... How are Abby/Snickers/Misha/Akira and Sapphire doing..?? ( hope I didn't miss anybody?) keep us updated...I hope no news remains as good news?
Laura: There are many ill-defined itchy conditions which make people miserable and respond poorly or erratically to treatment. If scratched--and they usually are--they often leave scars which I suppose can be reminiscent of chickenpox, and I assume that is what you are describing. Doctors sometimes refer to this as "prurigo nodularis," which more or less restates our ignorance in Latin. Cause is unknown.
If I take the zyrtec every day, I do not itch and there are not red spots or hives. Zyrtec does make you quiet a bit tired, but you can take it before you go to bed.
I re boiled the old one and tried my best so I can avoid paying close to 400 dollars for one at the dentist. My question is, I does it affect how your tongue feels? Lately my tongue has been like sand paper and even in the back of my throat. It's worse in the evening, and anything I eat seems to make it worse, it's so dry. My left ear only has congestion and has for quite a while and my doc told me I have post nasal drip/sometime sinus pressure on bridge of nose so I am taking Zyrtec D.
I recommend that you really try the pred. I know it can upset your stomach, but it really does work to reduce inflamation of the eustacian tubes. Do you take it with food? Talke to your doctor about taking part of a day's dosage and different times of the day, not all in the morning. Don't take any at bedtime. Can he give you a shot of it instead of oral or a shot and reduce the oral dosage? Afrin in three day cycles can be beneficial.

Other antihistamines and decongestants can work including Allegra-D and Zyrtec. There are also over-the-counter antihistamine and decongestant combinations that help with sinus drainage. These medicines, however, would have no direct effect on COPD – the medicines you are already taking are treatment for COPD. Question: I have emphysema and struggle with shortness of breath this time of the year due to allergies.
I did just recently have blood work. All was normal ( including Vitamin D levels) except for the thyroid peroxidase antibodies. I have been on thyroid hormone after the radioactive iodine for 26 years and all my other thyroid tests were in normal range.I did not have any problems with the radioactive iodine when I had it except that thyroxine levels came down after several months and I have been on the levothyroid since then.
However, I have blurred vision in the eye. I am taking 50 mg of benadryll every 4 hours, using antihistamine eyedrops, and taking zyrtec-d in the morning and evening The PA at the clinic told me everything should go back to normal soon. I am doing field work in remote regions and dont have regular access to a doctor. I dont suspect it to be a macular problem, bc I dont have colors washing out or a great out, im just seeing double out of that eye. Should I be overall concerned?
It is an antihistamine but it is much stronger than Zyrtec. Zyrtec did absolutely nothing for me, but the Hydroxyzine worked wonders. It is great that you can continue treatment. Best of luck.
Mucinex won't work properly if you don't drink enough water. Are you taking regular Zyrtec, or Zyrtec-D? Zyrtec-D has timed release Sudafed in it, and again, won't work well if you don't keep well hydrated. At least 2 quarts of non-carbonated, clear liquid a day will do wonders for you.
I was also taking Zyrtec-D which I read can affect your thyroid. I have become very depressed, tired, as well as issues that are impacting my relationship. I feel that even thought the blood work is "normal" that my history and symptoms point to hypothyroid. What is the best way to approach a Doctor about medication when the blood work does not support it? What is the process when they find a goiter?
When I first moved into my apartment it was still airing out from the fresh paint, new carpet and other work that had been done on the apartment. I had to close the windows early before it had completely aired out because it was getting so cold. That was 3 years ago, though, and I'm having the allergies now worse than ever. Because of my various medical concerns it's difficult to keep my apartment clean but I get help once in a while (about once per week) and it's cleaned very well.
very, very dizzy. says i have cyst. whats a person to do, doctor to doctor....
Are you taking the kind of Zyrtec D that says you can take one every twelve hours? The bottle should give instructions about how often you are allowed to take it. If you're not sure, in other circumstances, I'd recommend you call your pharmacist, but since your finger was still so swollen after the last pill, if you feel it is a part of your allergy, the time for home treatment is past and you need to go to the emergency room, in my opinion.
My suspicion has been that now that the hydrocodone, which is a wonderful cough suppressant, is gone, the symptoms have emerged from whatever underlying condition is at work. Of course, the one cough medicine that I know will stop the cough in its tracks contains codeine, and that's off limits.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to help de-allergize a cat instead of getting rid of the cat? Our 3 1/2 yr old will probably fall to pieces if we end up having to give the cat away because her sister is severely allergic to him. To keep this in persective, I'm allergic to cats also, but manage mine fairly well and have grown out of mine, mostly. There are some products for bathing and for spraying around the house.
Since this seems like the conservative approach, I trust what the vet says, although I do think I'll hold back on giving her any oral medication 'til I see how well she does without it. Does this sound like the right thing to do? To first see how well she does with just the topical medications before trying to administer oral antihistamines--as in 1/4 of a Zyrtec that her vet advised me to give to her?
Yes, that is another thing I hate, I also get allergies with nasal congestion and used to take Zyrtec D and Nasonex which helped a lot, but now I can't take that I do not think. I am going to ask my Endo Friday and let him tell me exactly what I can take. I will be so glad to get the treatment on this hyperthyroid rolling and I am even looking forward to RAI if I have to take it. I know hypo is no walk in the park either but I had still rather be hypo than hyper.
again, this creates a LOT of mucus. 3 - Try Zyrtec D .... I've personally found Zyrtec to be effective at controlling indoor and outdoor allergies. The "D" is a decongestant, and let me tell you - it ROCKS. I can BREATHE! It's AMAZING! :D 4 - Try taking a multivitamin and supplement it with a bit more vitamin C. Excess vitamin C is simply peed away, so it's pretty darn hard to overdo it. But there ARE other vitamins and making sure you are getting them all will help no matter what.
Mine is little different because where ever I am at this smell stays in, my room , at work and in my car.. and the smell changes all the time it depends what I eat. I also get thursty If I dont drink water. I start to get a dry throat and mouth... If i drink anything else that is not water my breath gets worse.. please help!
However, you mentioned you need to lose 50 lbs, while weight loss does help with fertility, in your picture you look very tiny. How much do you actually weigh (if you don't mind my asking)? It seems you would just disappear after losing 50lbs.
5 but this seems to keep coming back lately,,It seems to been more now after I started taking vit D before bed of 1000ui,maybe this is the problem,,not sure..
