I had zofran but it did nothing

congrats on your pregnancy! sorry to hear about the dehydration and the nausea - i have heard that zofran will definitely help, but don't have any personal experience with it, so can't really give you an exact answer. what helped me were sea bands! check them out - i am sure that the zofran will curb the nausea even more, but the bands will help too: http://www.sea-band.com/seaband.htm hope this helps!

Does anyone else on here take zofran? If so How does it work for you? Have u expericed any side effects.

I was diagnosed with Hyperemesis at 6 weeks pregnant (chronic nausea and vomiting). I lost 32 pounds in my first trimester and did not eat my first real meal until I was 16 weeks. Zofran saved my life!!!! The pills didn't work because I would throw them up so I have a Zofran pump that pumps Zofran into my stomach 24 hours a day! The doctor also has me on Reglan too; which pretty much does the same thing as Reglan.

Everyone's symptoms are different and vary in severity. The best advice I can offer is contact your doctor when side effects begin, so that you can hopefully get them managed properly and quickly. That will help you stay on treatment for the full course (and also help your family too!). Make sure that you are taking your Riba with food, and make sure that you are drinking enough water. Rest when you're tired, and don't overdo. That can lead to nausea as well.

Does anyone still get sick after taking zofran? I feel like its not even working. My last pregnancy I was sick the whole time to. Im only 11 weeks long way to go!

This is my second pregnancy , my first was so awful I wasn't keeping anything down not even meds and I lost 20lbs the first trimester from my MS. I'm hoping this one goes smoothly . I'm only 4 weeks along but I'm. Starting to get nasousous and feeling like I'm about to throw up at all times so my dr . Put me on Zofran (which she did the first pregnancy put I couldn't keep it down so I barely took it) did you guys ever take it ? Does it really work .

How many of you ladies are still taking zofran? My morning sickness is terrible. I'm 15 weeks and I throw up at least 5 times a day unless I take zofran and I've tried everything else and nothing works. But I know my doctor like personally and she assured me that it was safe and if it were her she would take it. I've lost about 30 pounds and only gained back 7 so she's worried about my weight. And I've lost it because of nausea. So how many Andre still taking it?

Im 26 weeks now i was taking Zofan also going to the hospital for hydration. Zofran only work the first couple weeks then i start getting sick taking it so i stopped. It was nice for the month it worked though.

s never been tested by the FDA for the treatment of morning sickness how about the woman who post this does her own research talks to her doctor and makes up her mind rather she wants to take that risk

I threw up about 50 times a day, I had to be hospitalized and take a lot of time of work. Never been so miserable and I was so scared it was going to last my whole pregnancy. Zofran helped, also pedialyte pops, super small sips of water and super small bites of crackers.

I hate zofran, it doesn't work for me but it may for others but yes I agree don't lbeleive everything on tv.

Im 7wks along and I've got serious nausea. I've tried ginger ale and crackers, but it did nothing. I don't know how to get it under control so my coworkers wont be suspicious. Any suggestions?

Zofran.. The pills didn't work for me with my first pregnancy. So this time I asked for something different.

Having sever all day sickness and only thing working is zofran and just bought some things called preggie pops they seem to help , but looking for other alternatives ( can't stand the ginger taste/smell)) HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!

Have any of u mommys taken zofran for morning sickness? My doctor prescribed it to me but im nervous to take a medication while pregnant.

Mine lasted from 5wells all the way to 23weeks. My OB prescribed me Zofran but it didn't work and after that she prescribed me promethazine and it did wonders. I hope you get to feel better soon.

They both work pretty good for me..the zofran does work a little better for me though but it makes me so constipated (tmi) and the promethazine will make you so sleepy! I still need both occasionally :/ 32 weeks today!
