1439528 tn?1283964211 He saw a neurologist and had to have surgery to replace the herniated discs which were also pinching the spinal cord. The pinched spinal cord was pinching spinal nerves leading to his right arm and hand. He is now recovered and practically brand new. He had to have some physical therapy but it has been worth every second. Have you seen a neurologist yet? If not, that would be the first thing to do.
Avatar m tn What were your doses? And what kind of effect does the medicine actually have? If is for the anxiety or for the physical pain? Any info would be appreicated.
491030 tn?1242424766 t remember how long on the trileptal, and shorter on the other two. We certainly went meds shopping over the years as some worked, others didn't or I became slowly immune to them. I've been on this 'regimen" quite awhile now,and I'm ok most every day from 6 am til' 2 pm, then it's time for a nap. and still have panic attacks, for which I have been prescribed visteril. (as needed, which isn't often, once a week MAYBE).

Avatar m tn Hi Adel, The difference between Lithium and Seroquel from my personal experience is the following. Lithium got me out of the craziness of mania, but it put me in a depression with suicidal thoughts. The lithium normally is good for depression and suicidal thoughts, but it had the opposite affect on me. I took it for one year. Seroquel got me out of the craziness of mania. It works good for me. I can sleep like a baby. I can feel actual happiness.
Avatar f tn RR - that is true if the sex in the three days in question produced the pregnancy. But if the lady has irregular cycles, it might not have. If the due date was based on the baby's measurements from the ultrasound only, that would indicate the time period where all three guys are the candidates. But if the doc merely plugged the woman's first day of her last period into a little cardboard wheel, the baby could have started earlier or later than the time period in question.
390388 tn?1279636213 without straining your back? Then use one of the ramps for him to wheel himself back down? Of course it depends how much space you have where you live, as the ramp down from the table would have to be gradual (so he doesn't wheel down at 60mph to a crash-landing!
Avatar f tn ) The medications can and do work. It might take some time to find the right medicine and the right dosage, and even then it often takes weeks for the dosage to set in so it can be evaluated. If you look at it this way, it took you a while to get here, it will probably take a while to get back to something resembling normal, right? As far as not accepting that you have depression, I think you already have on some level. Here you are asking questions....
Avatar f tn You say alternative treatments are all in the mind?? Well, if it works, why does it matter how it works? The mind can make you sick, the mind can make you better.
Avatar m tn after less than 24 hours---MOST of the areas that had scabs and bleeding from sratching HEALED and MOST (ovber 90%) of the chronic itch was GONE...so much for ELIMITE--it does NOT work..and the 90% improvement showed my body had SOME form of parasite--possibly BIRD MITES..something really hard to KILL .. 1243543 tn?1269124022 5-HTP plus herbal relaxants and a program of other supplements, exercise, dietary changes, and meditation would be the natural approach. A naturopath would be the expert to see about this, or a psychiatrist who practices integrated medicine. As for B12, it depends on whether you need it or not. It is essential to proper functioning of the neurological system, but B6 is much more on point for anxiety.
