Hi-I used a (used) safety razor at a golf course and cut myself. 10 Days later I had throbbing voluntary muscles throughout my body and a sinus issues. The sinus issue cleard up in two weeks, but the throbbing eased into a dull ache-particularly in my right biceps that I've had for 6 months, I was tested thoroughly for HVC (multiple antibody, PCR Qual) and HVB. All negative. My hepatologist has referred me to a neurologist saying the razor was just a coincidence.
You meant could gave used my tooth brush too and that would NOT BE A RISK right? How come sharing razors is considered a negligible risk or why does it say on some hiv sites do not share razors? Hiya all. I work with adults who have learning difficultiea and sometimes present challenging behaviour. At the weekend a gentlemen who I support threatened me, grabbed me by both wrists and attempted to punch me in the stomach, later that evening I ebded up in A and E with chest pains and shortness of breath and my blood pressure was extremly high. Does anyone know the next step to take with my employer regarding my situation?? I want to go off sick but cant really afford to.
I apologize for asking this question a few days after my original, but I was unable to reach a computer. Would razor burn/irritation from shaving a few hours before engaging in frottage and kissing/licking of the body, increase the chances of infection? What if bodily fluids of any sort got into the razor burn? After this occurred, It caused the irritation to increase and become red and inflamed. Thanks, again.
The large cluster(s) of pumps on my penis seem to be right where I rub up against her. I also shave my pubic area with a safety razor before sex. I don't think it's razor burn since it occurs on/near my foreskin and tip of the penis. (although I believe there is some razor burn going on often near the base.)
I think they appear usually within 10 hours after intercourse--definitely within a day. I think they start to fade within a day and have totally disappeared within a week.
Razors are somewhat a needle-like object, and it is inevitable that during shaving blood will get onto the razor. Someone who shaves, using a used razor (of someone who is HIV positive), may get cuts while they are shaving that may possibly allow the virus a way to enter into the body. It's probably unlikely, in the first place, that the virus would even survive on a razor... but there is a bit of risk, so why even have that risk when it can be completely avoided?
you really need to be seen today or tomorrow and get a proper exam. make sure they take a look at things as well as test you properly for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally.
also discuss your std risks with your provider and see if you should be following up with std testing too. when to test for what is posted in our read before posting post on the forum.
The barber than gave me a shave with a straight edge razor. He cut me in two spots on my chin (little nicks). He but some a cream on it and it immediately stopped bleeding. The razor was used on several other customers before me. The barber did spray the blade with antiseptic before giving me a shave. Is there a chance that I could have contracted HIV because of this?
2 weeks ago i got a shave from a barber with a straight razor, i noticed that when he went against the grain it hurt like crazy and there was some small spots of blood on my face. It was definately a close shave but now i notice that when i shave now i get small itchy red bumps on my cheeks, it has gotten better but they still happen. I think it was because i had dry skin and it caused my skin to get irritated. Does anyone now how to get rid of it?
