Low fat, low/no salt. Basically if it has some flavor, then you probably shouldn't have it.
I practice very lean meats, ie: Chicken, fish, venison, etc., and I grill it on a BBQ which cooks off any fat that may be present.
When I set up my plate, I use one with a inside circle on the plate. All of my food goes inside that circle, of about 6-7 inches. My plate is divided into fifths, and 3/5 is vegetables, 1/5 is meat and the other 1/5 is a starch(potatoe, pasta, ect.
