(Before was at least 3 cups a day) I read somewhere that for 300mg of caffeine a day one should be fine!
Avatar f tn Yes its ok to hve coffee once a day but coffee have caffeine which speeds up ur baby's heart rate so tryswiching to decaf
Avatar n tn Im 28 and began taking Adderall when I was your age. If I can give you any advice it would be to talk to your Dr. about switching your medicine to a less addictive forming stimulant such as Vyvanse. Adderall is such a strong stimulant which can cause smokers to smoke more. I too struggled with the same problem. I would not drink coffee in the am when you take the medicine. Oh, and dont drink OJ or any other acidic beverage/fruit with it either b/c it can have an adverse effect.
Avatar f tn Yes coffee can increase heart rate or cause palpitation, due to the stimulant.coffee is ok in moderation. Actually it can dehydrate you a bit, and eventually tire you out. Maybe cut back a bit and drink plenty of fluids. Hope that helps. Always ask your Doctor if you think something other is going on.
Avatar m tn I started Effexor XR about 4 days ago. So far it's been somewhat similar for the initial stage as other SSRI's, though maybe with a touch more anxiety. The last time I was on an SSRI (first time on an SNRI now), was a few months back. I'm also taking .5mg of clonazepam, and 20mg of propanolol, along with the 75mg of Effexor XR. I take all of them once per day, in the morning when I wake up (my peak anxiety time).
Avatar n tn It sounds like you have conditioned yourself to associate some of these things (coffee or marijuana, for example) with an increase in your HR. Now every time you drink coffee, you "wait for it to happen" and, thus, it does. Are you generally anxious or had problems with anxiety in the past? The simple answer is to stop drinking coffee and smoking pot.
Avatar n tn Even before those ever started i was always checking my heart rate numerous times a day because of my anxiety. After those pauses in my heart rate started i check my heart rate 200 to 300 times a day.I know that is not what normal folks do but i can't help it! I am totaly obsessed and scared to death about my heart.Even writing about this is hard task for me because i am getting shakes and anxiety!
Avatar f tn I was just at my desk working on computer as usual when my heart rate raced out of nowhere. After a few seconds my head seemed clouy-like and both hands started tingling at the same time. Then after 10 seconds or so all went right back to normal. I had only had about a cup and half of coffee without sugar. Could the coffee have caused this? I'm 34, and I don't have high blood pressure either. Never have experienced that before and it was kinda scary for me. Thank you.
Avatar f tn m wondering if the cause could be the medication you just started to take for your fast heart rate. I would call your Dr. back if it continues. Is it possible you could have a little bug? I agree with Irene to check your blood pressure and make sure that's o.k. It's been 2 weeks for me and I haven't had dizziness and nausea, just some fatigue.
Avatar f tn Generally, the lower your pulse rate, the more effectively you pump blood, your heart is very efficient from exercising. Some people just have lower RHR's then others. Usually for women, if you're in your sixties at rest, then you are in very good in terms of conditioning.
Avatar m tn Wonder if you had your morning shot of coffee, and then took your meds about an hour later - if you would still have the same problem?
Avatar m tn s difficult, but try not to linger your thoughts on the meds, this can build your anxiety up too, and it will end up fighting the effect of the meds.
7649706 tn?1396014742 Caffeine in small amounts is okay but you know how when you have too much coffee your heart starts to race a little and you get all jumpy? It doesn't take nearly as much for that to happen to a fetus. It can overtax and stress out the body especially the heart and not allow as much weight gain as is normal meaning baby can be born smaller and weaker compared to other babies of the same gestational age.
Avatar f tn ) just ask your dr how much is too much caffeine.
Avatar f tn Yes, it def increases a child's heart rate. All meds have some sort of side effects. The positive with this medication outweighs the negative.
Avatar f tn Just make sure you're not so hopped up on caffeine that it raises your heart rate and youll be fine (:
Avatar m tn Hi, It's Fuad & I am 21 male. I am concerned about my heart. my heart beats faster then average people. I feel like my heart is weaker. When it starts bit beat fast, I feel a bit uneasy. It appears when I smoke, after having meal, getting angry, sometimes when I try to sleep & think about a bad experience of the day. I tried to cure it by exercise, but it seems it gets worse. I am 5 feet 11 at height & weight 52 kilograms. I have some bad habits.
Avatar m tn I weigh 205 lbs and I have begun exercise regularly and when I do so my heart rate gets as high as 165. How big a concern is this fast pulse? Will continued exrcise help me to lower my heart rate? What else can I do?
1354772 tn?1300977548 When you drink coffee the cafeine causes a depletion of calcium in the heart, which sometimes causes an irregular heart rate. That is why milk is helpful in coffee. Normally one drinks coffee, or a cafeeine beverage for the "up". The problem is you end up drinking many cups. The trick is to drink grapefruit juice after the coffee.
Avatar n tn You should have a medication review with your doctor. Let your doctor know of your symptoms. You may not be taking time released medication, which you may need now.
Avatar m tn I'd drink some coffee to counter the effects but coffee would send me into terrible tachycardia in an instant.
Avatar f tn Since yesterday I have been suffering with an overwhelming sensation in my chest due to my heart rate being up and down. So basically I had 2 cups of coffee in a row, unintentionally, the second one was given to me without my request so I didn't want to be rude and not drink it.
Avatar f tn I decided the pain in my arm was too much and took tums, hoping it was heart burn. It went away, and my heart rate went down. I've taken 3 doses of tums and my rate has stayed down and my pain is gone. I decided to try skipping a dose today thinking the problem would have subsided by now. I went into urgent care to ask them about heart burn issues and if it was what could be causing it.
Avatar m tn My heart rate was racing all over the chart at the end of the test. I ended up in the Emercency room. First time this has ever happenned. Giving the choice of meds or SVT Ablation-I took the surgery. I was told the surgery went well and all was good now. I'm home and happy waiting for my follow up appointment with my doc. Does this mean my days of a cup of coffee or a bottle of beer are done? I'm even afraid to eat a piece of chocolet!
