adderall

Avatar f tn But your doctor is the one that should have told you that taking adderall during pregnancy is not a good idea. At least, now, the standard is don't take it - I don't know what the standard was then. Thank you for sharing. Peace!
Avatar f tn I do think your psyc is doing the right thing for you. Hopefully, he is also working with you on coping skills for your very stressful job. Best wishes - and do post back and let us know how things are going on. I am sure that you are not the only one who has or will go through this.
Avatar f tn However, unless you have ADHD, you are abusing the adderall. It is addicting and will cause you many more problems then the rash that you got.

Avatar f tn What are the long term effects of this type of weight loss and is it That bad for you to be on for a short while? Is using Adderall for weight-loss worse? So many "get thin" fast gimics out there and I just want to know the harmful aspects of using these types of products. Thank you!
1367899 tn?1278121440 My sister and I started a blog on Adderall to learn more about the medication along with alternative and complementary ADHD treatment options. Any feedback from users of Adderall or Adderall XR would be greatly appreciated. Topics to be added this week on http://Adderall.org How is Adderall XR different from Adderall? [Adderall vs. Adderall XR] What is Adderall? How to Make Adderall: [Adderall Background Information] What are the best Adderall and ADHD books?
Avatar f tn Concerta is almost identical to Ritalin.
Avatar n tn I am just in the process of my diagnosis and I have a question for you all. Before you began your treatments, how did your body react to certain stimulants (coffee, tea, energy drinks, soda, stimulant medication)? A few months ago I was put on ADHD medication. (I am a 33 year old woman) I started on Ritalin which made me super tired like I couldn't even drive. Then I was put on Adderall and from the start my heart went insane.
Avatar m tn They are out of your system fairly quickly. There is no tapering off period like there is for many meds. For people with ADHD, who follow their prescription there is no addiction problems or W/Ds. The problem for you would be if you have to keep upping your dose - although a good doc would not let that happen. The stimulant medications are used by people with narcolepsy for long periods of time. The military has certainly used it for a long time.
Avatar f tn I've been off of adderall for about 6 days now. I've been very depressed (literally lying on the floor, staring at the ceiling) and somewhat nauseated that entire time. However, I am also 6 weeks pregnant, and I have chronic mild depression anyway. I was using 10-20 mg per day (more than it sounds like, for someone my size) , for about a year. So, how long can I expect the withdrawal symptoms to last, and how much of what I'm experiencing do you think is from withdrawal?

Avatar f tn you should be seeing someone to talk to about how you feel and find out what is going on that is causing you to feel the way you are. You can't just stop taken the adderall your doctor would have to tell you how to stop it . there are many drugs out there also to help people deal with stress and anxiety it is just finding what will work for you,and finding the right person to help you get threw all you are going threw.
Avatar m tn Please do not think this is the adderall alone, I have just recently started taking the adderall again in the last 3 days and I have noticed before that I forget to breathe when I was not on the adderall. I do however think what happened to me in the car is because the adderall is making my sleep worse.
Avatar m tn I don't know the specifics but you will feel tired and maybe have a little cognitive difficulties for a couple of weeks. I don't think you should worry too much. Just think how you felt on adderall and its just the opposite. It's not a terrible transition, but the temptation is great when your down. After a couple weeks you should be close to normal and functioning just as well but falling asleep earlier! Sufficient rest works great for memory retention also.
Avatar n tn For anyone who is on of has a family taking adderall XR, or even knows about the drug----how much is too much, my son in 9 yrs old and the doctor wants to increase the medication to 60mg once a day in the am....this concerns me, its out of the FDA recommeded limits..
Avatar m tn This usually makes you increase the dose b/c you feel like crap and the whole downward spiral things happens b/c you get very little sleep with increased adderall so each day you up the dose until you hit the point where adderall is not working. This problem usually lasts until you suffer for a day or two with low dose and get sleep again. So if I'm going to drink I usually save it for after the performance event.
Avatar f tn I'm sure he does want to stop, but he says that his back hurts too bad, etc. He isn't very educated on all the aspects of addiction, like the withdrawal. And I think he would be afraid to ask his doctor for advice on discontinuing the use because he would be worried they would think he was a junkie. I don't know that he fully understands how bad the pills are for his body.

Avatar m tn Hi there & Welcome, Are you getting your Subs as part of a detox plan or were you using them recreationally? Did you start using them to detox & not give them enough time to reach a 'steady state' blood level ? (takes a couple of days to adjust to them) This sometimes happens where people crave the high of a full agonist (painkiller) like Norco b/c Subs are only a partial agonist & therefore don't supply the same euphoria for heavier users.
Avatar n tn Yes, I researched it today. And read that. But I didn't know it would make me sweat so badly. It's embarrassing. Like today I was taking a test and I could not hold my pencil in my hand tight enough. It kept slipping out. Even when I would place my hand on the desk and moved it. I could see sweat just sitting there. I was wanting to take something to help me concentrate. I guess I should see a doc and let him give me a prescription thats best suitable. And Thank you for replying.
Avatar f tn ve taken both Provigil and Adderall to help with the bad fatigue I get. I like Provigil a lot more than Adderall. It seems to have less severe side-effects for me. The only problem is that it causes my Irritable Bowel Syndrome to get out of control. So frustrating! Other than that, I would really recommend it. Best of luck to you, I hate the fatigue of this illness.
Avatar f tn Adderall is an amphetamine. And it's addictive much like cocaine is. Maybe someone with personal experience with cocaine could jump in? Look up 'amphetamine psychosis' and 'dopamine hypothesis of psychosis/schizophrenia' to see how extended use of amphetamine can change a person psychologically. Becoming violent is only the tip of the iceberg of everything it can cause to happen to a person emotionally.
Avatar n tn I don't know how old this is but.... I suffered a TBI in 2003 and it has taken me until last year in 2015 to get anyone to even send me to a neurologist but he refused to treat me without a psych eval and my insurance refuses past a certain age. But have a referal in with a different neuro buy that's been well over 6 months? Anyways... Don't give up and I take ritalin 10mg 3x a day for the sleepyness I literally will fall asleep anywhere without it.
