safety

Avatar f tn Hot tubs aren't safe from what I've read, the temperatures are way too hot for your body and baby!
484470 tn?1226541095 To protect your child, cut the loops of window cords, put on safety tassels, and keep your furniture away from blind cords. For information on getting free safety tassles, visit the Window Covering Safety Council. Household Baby Hazards # Electrical outlets: Hide behind furniture or cover with plastic caps. # Electrical cords: Wrap up the slack and place them out of reach. Try hiding them behind furniture.
Avatar m tn re not supposed to let your body get very hot when pregnant, and a lot of hot springs set up for bathing, like hot tubs, clock in hotter than they should for safety during pregnancy. In fact, a bath at the proper temperature when pregnant feels a little bit cool or tepid. If you google it, you can find the number you're not supposed to be letting your body temp go above.
Avatar f tn I was just in the hot tub for about 10-15 minutes. And then after I got out my mom started freaking out and told me I was probably going to have a baby with brain damage.
Avatar f tn Thank you. Even when the guy ejaculated into the hot tub and I then sat in the hot tub?
Avatar n tn My son is 18 years old. We have a hot tub. The hot tub had not been used for at least a week and the chemical levels had not been checked in that same amount of time. Three days ago my son went into the hot tub without checking the levels twice in the same day for approximately 30 minutes each time. The water temperature was 104 degrees. Today, three days later my son developed intense itching all over his body. He has a light pin point like rash on his back, buttocks, legs and arms.

Avatar f tn I was wondering if I only stayed in the hot tub for abt 1 min could it harm my baby?? I am only 5weeks.. I went to the regular pool which i think is ok rite??
Avatar f tn I was told to avoid hot tubs and an thing that will raise your blood pressure it can cause harm to your unborn child might even give you a miscarriage..... doctors told me hot baths only for maybe 10 mins or less but warm is definitely ok to do!! Good luck and congratulations!!!
Avatar n tn I heard when your pregnant you can't get in the hot tub, sauna, or too hot bath but what about a heated blanket?
Avatar f tn I'm almost 10 weeks pregnant and on vacation. We have a hot tub at out cabin and I've been avoiding it all week. Weve turned down the temperature to 78F in hopes that I can get it. I read that the water needs to be lower than 100F or damage can be done, and other scary things that I don't want to risk! Does anyone have any feedback, experience, or advice? I think limited time at 78F would be fine but I wanted to talk with others first!
Avatar f tn Do you mean hot tub like a spar?
Avatar n tn Assuming your doctor is okay with your using a hot tub, there is one way to find out for sure what effect it has on your blood pressure. Take your blood pressure right before you get in the hot tub, get in, and stay in a while. Then get out and take your blood pressure immediately -- before you have a chance to cool off. Do that on about three occasions, and if the results are consistent, I think you have your answer.
Avatar f tn The biggest risk is you getting over heated and passing out. So if you feel dizzy or light headed you need to turn it down. As far as the baby having problems it is possible but really unlikely from just taking a 15-20 min shower especially since your not submerged. As for baths, I'd turn the temp down just a tad bit to where your skin doesn't get red and again get out if you feel over heated. I loveeee scolding hot showers and baths.
3556225 tn?1356371040 Thanks I have been dying to take a bath
Avatar f tn During my first pregnancy I even enjoyed the hot tub for about 10 min at a time. Just know your limits and what makes you feel comfortable.
Avatar f tn So I know we cant relax in a hot tub or hot baths but has anyone heard we cant woosaw in a nice hot shower?
10870053 tn?1416581194 (I get hot water with lemon or lime to drink while I relax)...
Avatar f tn Too hot a bath can raise your body temp and decrease oxygen that gets to baby. If you have to ease yourself into the tub its too hot.
Avatar f tn Warm, but not hot. You also don't want to stay in for hours or use really perfumy soap. Oh, and make sure the tub is really clean.
Avatar f tn Is it safe for me to take a warm/hot bath.
Avatar f tn Well your not suppose to be in a hot tub because the temperature so id just make sure its not too hot. Close to your body temperature.
4945970 tn?1361450429 My midwife said unless you have a big soaker tub you can take a hot bath, because the temp of the water will not raise your body temp high enough for long enough to do any harm to the baby.
Avatar m tn i am male, i met a girl who is in her mid-20s (i dont know her HIV status), we ended up in the hot tub, we did not have any intercourse. However, please can you help asess my HIV exposure which i cant get out of my mind: 1) i fingered her in the hot tub under water (later when i got home i noticed a small cut on my finger with skin slightly coming off. I dont remember when the cut took place.(before or during the exposure), it was fairly small.
