hormone

Avatar n tn hI, my son now 15 underwent treatment and a bone marrow transplant for Neouroblastoma at the age of four. He's been on growth hormone treatment for 3 years now but with no result. He's only 144cm tall and his endocrinologist says there's no hope because his bones have finished growing and the only suggestion is the bone stretching surgery. Can anyone suggest anything else?
Avatar f tn Thanks! Do you all take regular yoga or prenatal ? I already joined a gym and they have yoga classes a few days a week but not prenatal yoga.
Avatar n tn re in the midst of one, keep caffeine and hot and spicey dishes to a total minimum or cut them out completely, get a fan for your bedroom that you can turn on and off as needed and generally, do some calming things like yoga, stretching, meditation or anything that you find calming as being stressed will also bring them on with more strength and more often. But, I also agree with the previous poster that getting a blood test to check out your thyroid functions is well worth it.
Avatar f tn Alright so of coarse walking but how much? Does bouncing on my yoga ball help as well? What else?

451191 tn?1264432890 I wanted to pass along this link to everyone. I have been practicing Bikram Yoga for 7 years and have found it's benefits to be many. So much so, that I have decided to get certified to teach and hopefully open my own studio someday. My own experience has been this: since my TT in April and RAI in May I have not gained ONE single ounce, have maintained a consistent energy level and my TSH levels always fall within normal ranges. http://www. yogapassion. com/testimonials/12.
649848 tn?1534633700 Well, Ranaesheart suggested the other day that I do a post about yoga, since I suggest it whenever someone new comes into the community, so I'm going to give it a shot. I must confess, I am definitely a novice with yoga myself, but I learn more as I go along. I know there are several different kinds of yoga, ranging from what I do, which is slow and deliberate to another type that is very physical. Each kind of yoga has its own name and no, I don't know them all.

Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.

Avatar f tn Nipple stimulation, or pumping, can be very effective in inducing labour ! You should discuss it with your midwife or ob first, but mine actually recommended it as a natural method of inducing labour (: You have to stimulate for quite awhile each day for it to be effective, but it releases oxytocin which is the hormone that will start labour ! Since you are past your due date, I'd say go for it !
Avatar f tn i am on a tyroxine tablet 10mg at the moment and still feel tired and breathless .

Avatar f tn Yes, my hips have hurt forever all of my pregnanies. With my 1st baby I had sciatica pain. My left hip hurts so bad I wake up in pain. Your body produces the hormone relaxin which helps relax Ur hip muscles so the baby is able to pass through. What helps emensly is walking regularly (I waddle a little at 1st) and stretching. I started doing yoga too. I'm 34 wks now.
Avatar f tn The water makes you weightless so it might not hurt your back, you could also do gentle yoga to perhaps help your back, but check with your doc or consult a yoga teacher who could help you find movement to get you more limber. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Make her do yoga. Lock her in a room and MAKE HER DO THE YOGA.
Avatar f tn Your baby probably has dropped getting into position for birth. Ur body also produces a hormone called relaxin which helps relax Ur hip bones so the baby can pass through. I've had severe hip pain since about 22 wks prego-unfortunately completely normal. Try to do some stretches- the yoga pose warrior works great, maybe even go for a short walk.
Avatar n tn drugs they can rpescribe for it other than antideps and if you want that all the power to y ou but i cant do it and so i smoke weed go for walks do yoga treat myself and have those around me try to understand what i am like around that time of the month
