Avatar n tn hi, working out an hour/day is great, no need to cut your food intake down because you are already working out, you need only to drink more water (especially warm) it will melt your extra fat off and and you will get your desired weight, if you still wanna try something, you must go for beyond weight management tea,a very good thing for weight management.
3124261 tn?1342217059 In 2009, I took a blood test and my results for my Luteinizing Hormone level is 14.8, and I have a history of irregular periods, what can I do to lower it to normal range? I've already taken hormone pills to regulate my period, but all that did was cause me to have heavy periods for 2 weeks straight so I discontinued taking them. I do want to have kids in the future, but in the meantime, what do I do to solve my problem?
Avatar n tn oral contraceptive can affect weight. Also, once you've lost 10-15% of your body weight, weight loss typically plateaus and it is more difficult to continue losing.
Avatar n tn Soy has estrogen like effects... have you tried drinking vanilla soymilk? You might want to get your thyroid function tested to make sure it is just the lack of (I think) progesterone that is causing your weight gain and not hypothyroidism.
Avatar f tn My taking HCG has nothing to do with my cysts, i want to take HCG because i have seen three of my friends took them for weight management and they lost 30 pounds in a month, so i am thinking of taking HCG to loose weight. However, since i learn that HCG is a hormone that shows up in pregnancy women, so i wonder if taking HCG will has side effect to my ovarian cysts, for example, HCG will makes my cysts bigger or more complicated? Looking forward to hear back from you.

2059648 tn?1439766665 I'm going to have my thyroid removed soon. What concerns me is weight gain and how this will effect my life. At present I'm at the top of normal on thyroid tests. Not yet into abnormal range of hyperthyroidism. What is different is I also have a TSH of 23 due to the fact that I have a hot nodule, numerous nodules some large. So, as I can see I lean to hyperthyroidism and am hypo also. I don't loose weight easily.
846905 tn?1258817444 I too have gained a lot of weight, not losing weight while going to the gym and starting diet, and i haven't been able to get pregnant in 2 years other than that miscarriage. My acne is like yours, it will not go away and i am getting boils in my pubic area as well, and I had never had that before. Let me know what you find out... I have an appointment on Monday with a gynocologist and will see if that has anything to do with any of this.

Avatar m tn Would any of these diseases contribute to sudden weight loss? I have been close/over 350 lbs for years, but in the last several months I have dropped a significant amount of weight. I'm down to 287. (20 lbs in the last four weeks alone.) I wish I could say it's because I'm exercising or eating right... but I'm not. I've made no change to physical activity or diet. Any suggestions?

Avatar f tn ~:text=Evidence%20shows%20that%20women%20with,weight%20can%20improve%20menstrual%20regularity. Even less loss was somewhat effective in this study - https://www.healio.com/news/endocrinology/20181228/lifestyle-changes-may-restore-menstrual-regularity-in-pcos. Have you had your thyroid checked? Thyroid problems can cause an irregular cycle. If you aren't overweight or weight loss isn't helpful, a different birth control pill might suit you better. There are so many options.
Avatar f tn Should it help my weight management and/or make significant difference in well being or barking up the wrong tree? Appreciate any insight/advice/guidance! Thanks!
Avatar f tn Around when I stopped abx I was dx with a massive fibroid tumor that was draining my energy and also making weight loss/management extremely tough. I had surgery to remove it in august 2012. Last year, off abx and done with the fibroid, I finally got on thyroid treatment, though I'm only considered "sub clinical" hypo, and I again lost 40 lbs, this time in only about 4 months. But now I've gained a lot of that back due to pregnancy.
Avatar m tn Low testosterone has lots of effects like fatigue and weight gain. It can also make it harder to lose weight. So my metabolism may not be the most important thing right now.
Avatar n tn Another way to address the fact that they wrote on your form that you are aggressive and argumentative would be to get some anger-management counseling. Even if they are wrong about you, it will be on your record that you did this, and will tend to counteract their statements on the official forms.
Avatar f tn Currently, your thyroid hormone levels are within normal limits. The levels of follicle stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone are on the higher side suggestive of decreased ovarian function. This might be responsible for not having periods for last 1.5 years. I would suggest that the LH and FSH levels be repeated on day 3 of the cycle ( the 1st day is the day bleeding begins) to know about an impending menopause. Once we have the results, we can investigate further to decide the cause.
Avatar f tn Sometimes Hashi patients can have unexplained weight loss when we get thyroid nodules that leak hormone. I would swing back and forth from weight loss to weight gain. Paranoia and anxiety to depression. Constipation to diarrhea. Shaky, jaw pain, eye pain, rashes, leg and foot cramping, brain fog, migraines. fatigue, heart palps, loud ringing or pounding in ears, dry skin, hair loss, GERD, heartburn, chest pain, arm pain, and many more issues!
Avatar n tn My 'nephew' is a nearly 12 year young Lab. Eats and drinks well. Weight is maintained at good level i.e., has never been overweight. All recent vet checks resulted in 'normal' results. Still has great personality and willingness to please. At nearly 12, we are more inclined to assist him ! Difficulty climbing stairs and entry into vehicles. Mobility issues are localized in rear quarters and on occasion, front right leg.
Avatar f tn I was having menustration 3 times a month.. And i was undergoing some treatments with some hormone tablets like Novlon, femlion etc.. Yesterday it was diagnosed as PCOS.. I hav alot of doubts 1)the symptoms of PCOD are amnorrhea(absence of menustration),hirsuitism etc.. Then why i was having some other features like excess bleeding? 2)did i diagnosed wrong?? 3)wil i be infertile?? 4)did my early medicaments bring me to this disease?? 5)should i undergo any more check up??
Avatar f tn If its endrimetriosis related pain and you cannot get surgery until september, what I suggest is getting on a hormone that prevents you from getting a period until then. I get horrible periods-heavy, cramps, abnormally so. And I like to control things :). So I take the Birth Control pill, Yaz, and take it consistently without taking the placebo pills, so I only get a period every 6 months. I got the ok from my gynecologist to do so.
