hormone

Avatar f tn Yes ma'am! Walk lol, just try to be active as much as possible.
Avatar f tn Also nipple stimulation releases a hormone into your body called oxytocin, which is the natural form of the drug that they use to start labour in hospitals.
Avatar n tn Sperm contains prostaglandins which is a hormone that helps the cervix dialate, and thin. Prostaglandins are actually the hormone they use to induce you during labor, sperm is just a more natural way to recieve them.
1661682 tn?1313135396 anyone know of ways to induce labour that actually work.
Avatar f tn Raspberry leaf tea is not used to induce labor. It can be ingested through out pregnancy to strengthen and tone your uterus. If you are not already in pre-labor, nothing will work. If you are, the best thing to do is relax. Stress delays labor. Staying upright helps. It utilizes gravity to help bring baby down. As baby comes down, your cervix dilates more. Sex helps you progress. Orgasm can cause contractions. Ejaculate contains a hormone called oxytocin.
Avatar f tn what I did I walked alot and the night of tuesday I had sex which I didnt feel like but a man sperm has a hormone called oxytocin that can help induce labour..oxytovin is the same medicine they use to induce labour..
Avatar f tn Interfering with the natural order of progression may also result in a woman having her labour start, but then having an arrest of labour. Often referred to as “failure to progress”, it means that the body began the process but wasn’t ready with all the hormones needed to continue and complete the birth of the baby.
Avatar f tn I dont believe you can induce your own labour at all.
5506662 tn?1369334325 The point to my post however, was that in spite of the clear warnings by the FDA for pregnant women to avoid taking the drug for various reasons, many drs still use it to induce labor or "soften the cervix" Ultimately, the previous poster is correct in her statement. There are various methods used to induce labor, each with their own risks involved.
Avatar m tn mumita.... Schools BABY Sex-ed. I make my sister watch these programmes about sex ed to aimed at 15 yrs olds. She's 10. Her school is cr*p.. You can get preg whilst preg, but its rare. And yes it does induce labour but only when her body is ready to go into labour... She can get pregnant straight away after having the baby though.
Avatar f tn My midwife told me to use my ball from 20weeks, it doesnt bring on labour but is vetter to sit on and will get ur baby in the right position.
Avatar n tn Prostaglandins is a hormone that can induce labour. A man's semen contains this hormone. Oxytocin also causes contractions and a woman's body produces it when she climaxes. If there are no health reasons for you guys to be abstaining right now then some quality time together might get things moving along. It only does the trick if you are getting close to starting labour naturally though because the amounts are small.
Avatar n tn A membrane sweep is when the midwife puts her finger up your vagina and separates the cervix from your water sack. This apparently sets off a hormone to naturally induce labour. It's abit uncomfy to have done but supposed to be very effective.
Avatar f tn Has anyone got any experience with acupuncture to induce labour? Any success stories? I'm past due and one of the things my midwife suggested was acupuncture. I'm very scared of needles but I think I'll give it a go because I really don't want to be medically induced. Also, what part of the body do the needles go? Any info will be greatly appreciated!!
Avatar f tn Warm baths, sex (only if your mucus plug is still intacted) , use an excerise ball to wiggle about or bounce gently… the ball put my friend into labour in a matter of hours at 36wks but i know they say your not full term until 37wks, but they were going to induce her 2days later due to high risk pregnancy so she wanted to get things started but she ended up having a girl early next morning
Avatar f tn Yeah! That's a contraction! For me, nipple stimulation would bring on strong contractions but they wouldn't last because I didn't do it right..
Avatar f tn The sperm has the same hormone in it as the medication they use to induce you and it softens your cervix. Its completely safe and gives you quality time with your partner. If you go to have sex make sure its more than just once to really get things moving. She said do not use the castor oil trick as it can really upset your stomach and make you really sick. This is the only things she says really has worked but doesnt work for everyone.
Avatar f tn I was in my 39th week and my Dr wanted to induce....I wanted to wait it out. I did, and I went into labour naturally 3 days before my due date. I don't know if there's any correlation or not, but the night I went into labour, I had a cup of red rasberry tea (known to induce ) and had a warm bath...about so mins after my bath I had strong contractions. Best wishes whatever you decide!
Avatar f tn Was told yesterday that i have to get induced in the next couple of days, he explained the process to me.
Avatar f tn So I'm 26 weeks and just being prepared, I do not want to start doing anything to induce labour yet as I'm still far too early I just want to b organised! I've heard a lot of debate about castor oil, evening primrose oil, black cohosh and raspberry leaf tea. So my question is, are these safe to use during pregnancy? When should I take them? How do they work and what exactly are they used for?
Avatar f tn The only scientifically proven method to help induce labour is nipple stimulation.
Avatar f tn it depends really, are you having an outpatient or an impatient induction? my first induction was outpatient, i went in to maternity day unit, was given an ultrasound to check there was enough fluid round baby and then had an internal, they gave me another sweep and inserted a pessary which slow releases hormones over 24 hours to encourage your cervix to soften and dilate.
Avatar f tn Not true at all! My first natural labour was 33hrs, very painful, ended in forceps delivery, an episiotomy, and just exhausting. My second was induced, only 12hrs, 7mins of pushing (3 pushes total), completely relaxed, no cuts or tears. SO much better than my natural labour. Can't wait to be induced Friday, I know it'll be so much better than natural.
Avatar f tn or should I wait for my baby to be naturally born whenever he wants to pop out?, my mom insist for me to wait but my husband and I really want to have him already we are to excited!!
Avatar f tn I'm not trying to bring labor sooner (induce)...I just want to help my body for when its time. So I heard red raspberry leaf tea strengthens you're uterus and help you push during delivery! Also, having sex and (tmi) sperm going inside helps thin out cervix. My question is do these things "induce you" or is it going to do what I want it to and just help me. I do not want baby to come early that's why I'm asking.
7110901 tn?1396057291 Well I'm trying to get Labour going...but I have a question I know they say the sperm helps but this is my question... After sex I always immediately wash out my VA Jay Jay. .. do I still do that or should I leave it for it to work? I'm so clueless but I'm desperate to get started on labour... even though sex may not help.. can't hurt to try...
