Avatar m tn I have also been depressed for a while. I am kind of hoping my hormone test will show something wrong so I can start to try and get it fixed. Anyone else have health anxiety or hypochondria? Lately I have been freaking out and I just don't feel "Well".

Avatar f tn I am 74 years old and have been on Hormone Therapy for 24 years. My new doctor had advised me that she will not continue my prescription because she in uncomfortable to prescribe to a woman over 65 years of age. I think that is my decision to make.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed at age 49 in May, 2007 with Stage II, 3 nodes positive. I had 4 rounds of A/C and 4 rounds of Taxol followed by 33 rounds of radiation. My doctor now wants to put me on hormone therapy. I am premenopausal but haven't gotten my period since July due to chemo. She won't put me on Tamoxifin because of a past history of TIA several years ago. She said I would be at too high a risk for stroke on it.
Avatar f tn I have been told from the start that with a lumpectomy I would need radiation. I found out later about the hormone therapy. I want to know if this is standard of care for my situation. I had a 1cm lump including DCIS and ILC. My margins were 6mm, 1cm, 5cm, 6cm. The ILC was in a linear pattern and low nuclear grade. 4 of 4 nodes were negative for cancer. I am ER+ 100% and PR+ 90%. I am HER2 negative. I was told my cancer was caught very early and I should be OK.
Avatar m tn Hi sorry hormone therapy will not help at all , there are no pills or cream to make your penis any bigger , take care ,
Avatar m tn You said in another post that you are 54, so the answer is that five years of periods and being 54, you can't get pregnant without a whole lot of work -- IVF, hormone therapy, etc. etc. And even then it would take donor eggs, and might not work.
Avatar f tn A couple of members here, including myself, watched Robin McGraw yesterday speak about bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. Did you know that women as young as their teens can have hormonal imbalances ? And that you can show signs of perimenopause in your 20s... feel horrible and be misdiagnosed with chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia ? And yet the medical field has failed us again on this other issue.
846905 tn?1258817444 It's crazy but I have gone through the same things as you. I had a miscarriage last July, and didn't handle that very well afterwards. I too have had irregular periods, painful cramps that make me sick to my stomach. I too have gained a lot of weight, not losing weight while going to the gym and starting diet, and i haven't been able to get pregnant in 2 years other than that miscarriage.
Avatar f tn m down to the one ovary and terrified if I get pregnant again the cysts could destroy my last ovary but if I freeze my eggs as backup the hormone therapy could also destroy my ovary. Anyone have any experience with this?
Avatar m tn These hormones are very important for normal functioning of our body and if there is a deficiency of these hormones it is important to take hormone replacement therapy to overcome this deficiency. Please relax HRT will not damage your brain but is essential at the moment for you.
Avatar n tn Im reading a lot of advice against the use of hormone replacement therapy, but the studies I have researched report that its the combination of progesterone and estrogen that is bad for you, and that estrogen alone may actually decrease the risk of breast cancer. My question then is has anybody else read any studies similar?
Avatar f tn I have been on bioidentical hormone therapy for several years: estrogel 0.06% 2 pumps once daily and prometrium 200 mg. daily. My main symptoms for seeking treatment were severe hot flashes, night sweats and insomnia. These symptoms have subsided since being on hormone replacement therapy. I do not have access to individual dosage evaluation and preparation of these hormones. I know that it is best to take the lowest dosage that gives me relief of my symptoms to decrease my risks of cancer.
605458 tn?1539228808 I mean, the goal is always to avoid surgery when surgery can be avoided, but if I cannot get this hormone shot therapy, hysterectomy with salpingo oopherectomy is my other alternative. I am 39. I have never had children and have never wanted to have children and have no desire to have children in the future. While I am a bit attached to my body parts and thing surgery would by not fun, why not just go for it and get done with and not have to worry about the stupid endometriosis again?
Avatar n tn A couple of the recorded women who got pregnant spontaneously in their 50s were on hormone replacement therapy.
Avatar f tn Before you try getting pregnant you should get tested for hormone imbalance, and if you get pregnant take progesterone supplements to help your ovaries produce enough for the baby. Taking megazymes , another herbal supplement by enzymatic therapy, during pregnancy helps prevent miscarriage also. It helps tremendously too with preventing heartburn down the road.
Avatar f tn I am definitely going to show my saliva report to another hormone specialist and will get the cream remixed elsewhere and try that. Still can't seem to find out if taking these could raise the blood pressure levels. Thanks for comments.
Avatar n tn Hi AgainI am very confused as one of the oncologist suggested that we should get Chemotherapy followed by radiation and hormone therapy and the other onclogist suggested that  have radiation and hormone and no need for chemothrapy as this point, He further suggested that  that since cancer is local and metastatis is negative these is no need for immediate chemotherapy as the advantage one has by having chemotherapy instead of hormone is hardly 2-4%.
Avatar f tn Has anybody tried bio identical hormone therapy for Depression? I've heard so much about it. I heard it helps you alot with menopause, depression and with other issues. They check your hormones and then depending how your test comes out they insert some pellets into your hip. I'm looking into doing it.
Avatar n tn Lymph nodes clear. After surgery had mammosite. Should I do hormone therapy? I also had ovarian cancer 2 yrs. ago. Stage 1A also. Doing well here. Took chemo for OV. and left me with aching legs and joints. The hormone therapy has so many side affects. The drugs suggested for me are Arimidex or Raloxifene. Is there anyone that does not take hormone therapy and is still doing well with no recurrance?
Avatar f tn Hello, After hysterectomy, hormone replacement therapy would consist of estrogen alone usually given daily by pill or sometimes weekly or biweekly skin patch. However hormonal replacement therapy should be given for a short time only as long term use may be associated with a small increase in breast cancer. In my opinion you should consult a gynecologist and start with hormone replacemenr therapy.
