hormone therapy, and yes, I do know a very little bit about it. Some children are born with a very low amount of the hormone necessary for proper growth. Typically this testing would take place if a child is not following his growth curve, not just because he or she is small in stature. For example, a child born in the 3rd percentile for height is considered normal and healthy as long as he stays on the 3rd percentile.
