1134902 tn?1296066144 anywho my question is...could this be caused by a hormone imbalance brought on by my intense workout? even tho Im only spotting, Im still cramping. My family doc is booked up until the new year, so I can't see her anytime soon.
Avatar n tn Soy has plant estrogens. If your cancer is estrogen sensitive I would be very careful about using any product with "isolated soy protein.
Avatar f tn All of that said, what are your actual thyroid hormone levels? You should be tested regularly for Free T3, Free T4 and TSH. Please post your actual levels and be sure to include reference ranges, which vary lab to lab and have to come from your own report.
Avatar f tn ve been having minor cramping and back pain and my breast are extremely sensitive. I can also squeeze liquid from my nipples.
1255151 tn?1413891826 A pregnancy test has a less specific threshold. It can be super sensitive or barely sensitive at all and still work (most brand name tests are more sensitive). The problem with using OPKs as pregnancy tests is that you can't be sure which hormone its picking up. LH, the ovulation hormone, can fluctuate like crazy and make you look pregnant when you're not. If you think you're pregnant go pick up a pregnancy test (Clear Blue Easy Digital is sensitive and easy to use).
530914 tn?1220838485 I would have your Gyno run a quantative not qualitive HCG test. That will tell you better if your pregnant or not. Some tests aren't very sensitive to the pregnancy hormone, so they read negative even though you may infact be pregnant. A home pregnancy test that is sensitive to the pregnancy hormone is called First response, you can usually get a direct result pretty early with that test. I got a positive using first response when I was just 2 weeks pregnant.
1428559 tn?1283094093 Units usually is how sensitive it is at detecting the pregnancy hormone. I found a great deal on the pre-seed website. They have both ovulation and pregnancy tests you can buy in bulk and they are very sensitive. Most tests can detect at 20 units but some are more sensitive.
Avatar f tn The thing is, these studies are on post menopausal women. I can see where taking a replacement hormone when your body should naturally not be making this hormone anymore could be bad and I wouldn't do it. But what about the people who were thrown into surgical menopause at a time their body would still be producing it?
Avatar f tn If you miss your periods then you can test 1 week- 10 days after you miss your periods or you can test for pregnancy by a highly sensitive pregnancy test 10 days post ovulation with a sensitive ( 20 - 25 mIU ) pregnancy test. Also I would suggest you to get your serum HCG levels estimated since this is more specific than urine for pregnancy tests. The HCG (it is a hormone) levels rise only in pregnancy and its presence will confirm the status of your pregnancy. I hope it helps.
Avatar f tn m asking is that do any of you think that these symptoms could be caused by extreme hormone imbalance? No one has ever tested my hormones before. I find it weird that they all started almost a month to the day I quit birth control. Also, my period was never regular when I was younger, I matured late and would sometimes go 6 months without getting my period. I was also anorexic during high school which didn't help. But I am no longer and eat very healthy.
Avatar f tn It could be signs of pregnancy depending on how sensitive your body is to the pregnancy hormone... Avatar f tn A simple blood test for TSH or thyroid-stimulating hormone is the most sensitive way to predict thyroid abnormality. If you are found to have an underactive thyroid gland, thyroid hormone replacement can be effective at restoring fertility. It make take two to three months to regulate your thyroid hormone levels with medication; this should be done before you try to get pregnant.
Avatar m tn Okay I am almost 20 years old and still can't grow a beard. Well, I can grow "some" stubble but it's only under my chin and it grows EXTREMELY slow. So I tried doing a bit of research about facial hair and what i found was that usually, the level of testosterone in your body is not the issue, it's how sensitive your hair follicles are to responding to the hormone. So why is it that my facial hair grows extremely slow while hair on other parts of my body grow much faster?
Avatar f tn I'm very moody, sensitive, and super emotional.... why? Is Anybody else this way?
Avatar f tn the clearblue are very very accurate! they are mostley the highest hcg sensitive test! also if you have taken 2 other home pregnancy tests and they have came back positive you are definatley pregnant!
1743416 tn?1311204288 Yes! maybe ur hormone level is not that high yet for the pg test to detect. u should go to the doctor to take a blood test.
Avatar f tn Home pregnancy tests detect HCG hormone in your urine and some test are more sensitive than others. If there isnt enough HCG hormone in your body yet... it might come out negative even if you are pregnant. I would recommend going to your doctor and getting a blood pregnancy test.
1447178 tn?1284590034 At 4 weeks one 1 my hormone level was only 42 which was picked up by a pregnancy test and a blood test. Its not too early to find out since anything above 5 on a blood test is considered pregnant and some pregnancy tests can detect a level as early as 12. Congrats on your pregnancy!
Avatar f tn It is possible that you could be pregnant. The home pregnancy tests look for the presence of the pregnancy hormone hCG in the urine. If the hormone level is not high enough to be detected you can get a negative result. The tests are most accurate 1 week after the first day of your missed period. Additionally you should test with the first urine of the morning. This is usually the most concentrated, and therefore has the highest level of the hormone.
Avatar f tn I had a very light line when I first tested so I waited through the weekend then Went to the doctor. it was positive then. Some tests are more sensitive than The doctors. You could also ask your doctor to test your blood levels and see where they are. Goodluck!
