Hormone sensitive lipase regulation

Common Questions and Answers about Hormone sensitive lipase regulation

hormone

Avatar n tn Mine were elevated which causes more acid in the stomach. As my parathyroid hormone came down, I felt SO much better. I stopped the PPI's and just take carafate when I go to sleep. I do still have GERD/Acid Reflux but under control. Check your calcium serum also. Correct to check your pancreas and goldbladder. Blood test: Lipase & Amylase for pancreas. Check your stool color. Ask your doctor if you can have your stool analyzed.
Avatar f tn It could be the Fibromyalgia. Fibro causes problems with your hypothalamus gland which controls your body temperature, sleep and a range of other things. I have had the symptoms you are describing. Your body could also be trying to fight an infection, so I would check your temp. when these symptoms occur for fever. Your symptoms don't sound hormone-related to me, although hormone problems make Fibromyalgia symptoms worse.
Avatar n tn In 1990 (18 yrs) I suddenly aquired a sensitive bladder... i.e. when lyin down to go to sleep i get a nagging ache in my scrotum that tells my brain i need to empty my bladder. when i then urinate it is only a very small amount but my bladder feels empty and i can go to sleep.. this occurrs sometimes 10 times a night. I also get the feeling in the afternoon and evening but it is not bothersome that i need to urinate immediately. i only have the problem when im tryin to sleep.
Avatar n tn Yesterday afternoon, my lipase level suddenly increased to 1360 and my amylase level was 151. This morning, my fasting lipase level was 900 and amylase level was 141. At 2:00 pm today, another sample was taken with a lipase reading of 550 and amylase at 115. What are the possible triggers on these elevated lipase and amylase readings despite previous normal readings for the last 2 - 3 years (last blood test was about 1-1/2 months ago).
Avatar n tn If you would like your periods to become more regular, you will need to seek counsel from a doctor or trained professional in the PCOS area for hormone regulation.
Avatar n tn So in the first few weeks of life we have to decide about treatment, the tsh being a little elevated more than likely was the normal surge we see in the first few days of life, and the tsh was not so high that it worried me but if it were my child better error on the safe side and replace the hormone if is appears a little low. So now the repeat labs indeed show a little too much on board, you are down to 12.
Avatar m tn I should also mention that about two years ago, due to my poor decision, I took a pro-hormone supplement to get stronger. I quit when I figured out how bad it was for me but I just mention that because eversince I took that I've worried if it had any internal effects on my body. Advice/Info will be greatly appreciated!!
Avatar f tn Also, perhaps the antibiotics are affecting you some way. The amylase is made in the pancreas. Do you have pain in your left side? The lipase is more sensitive or correct test. Do you have diabetes or have you been checked for that? If not you may want to ask the doctor about it.

Avatar f tn s said to help reduce postpartum depression feelings, help with hormone regulation, milk supply, and iron levels. I was just curious if anyone else had done it or was thinking about doing it.
Avatar m tn I like it as a method of birth control, period regulation and the option to skip periods if necessary, however I feel that i get very depressed and angry when I am on it, hence why I have stopped taking it several times (before forgetting how badly it affects me, starting to take it again and soon regretting it) . My doctor recommended that I get the rod instead, as she said it doesnt contain the hormone that the pill contains which makes me moody.
Avatar f tn Question I found out elivated levels of lipase at 203. I have been having on and off nausea but no vomiting. I had pain in my upper right rib area and sometimes in my back. It went away. They tested me for h pylori and it was negative. Also a ultrasound of the upper abdomen showed nothing, no stones. What can this be?
Avatar m tn Had a lower torso CT scan, all negative. One of my blood tests showed up with a slightly elevated lipase level (400) but it had lowered to 273 a few days later. I even had my LDH tested, and it was normal. I had a chest CT scan which was normal. I continue to have the left side pain and now I have a slight loss of appetite. No nausea yet. I go from constipation to some diahrrea. I am still having fevers occasionally (I think...I get warm, but my temp is never over 98.3).

Avatar f tn Hi guys, have been having upper left ab pain for over a month some mid burning. My lipase has been mildly elevated, also my ca 19 (panc tumor marker) is double norm and double what it was 4 wks prior. Dr did say pancreatitis and other factors could cause this to rise. My dad died of PC so I am scared I have it. My ab US, CT w dye and EUS were all clear.
Avatar n tn Have been having upper center abdominal pain for about 6 weeks. The lipase test came back at 9. Last week it was 15 and 6 months prior to that it was 30. Glucose is fine. TSH during the same period of time has gone up from .5 to .9 (last week) this week it's up to 1.9. TSB has gone from .8 , .6, to 1.5 last week and 1.7 this week. My doc hasn't gotten back to me yet. Any ideas?
Avatar f tn There are many vitamins which can help in ovulation. Vitamin D helps in calcium absorption and regulation and normalizes the development of healthy follicles and increases chances of conception. Calcium helps in egg maturation. Vitamin B6 is useful in women who have been suffering from luteal phase defects .Vitamin C supports ovulation by stabilizing hormone levels and aids in iron absorption. It also boosts the immune system .Iron balances ovulation.
Avatar f tn It went from 66 to 170 in less than half a year. Does this mean anything? My level of lipase is too high as well. I suffer from chronic constipation. I lost 15 lbs since stopping lactose & gluten in my diet. However, my stomach area doesn't stop swelling: I often look like I am 9 months pregnant.

Avatar f tn My gall bladder was removed 25 yrs ago.I had abdominal pain 10 days ago. My Doctor think I have pancreatis. Blood test showed Lipase level was 1412 & Amylase was 273. Three days ago, I had my 2nd blood test done, Lipase down to 382 & Amylase down to 273. but both of them still within the high level range. What can bring Lipase & amylase down to normal. What kind of food I should avoid? Should I eat light for 3 more weeks?
Avatar n tn I had these initially when I first started taking thyroid (I think it had more to do with my metabolism and heat regulation actually working or trying to work right). I was wondering if melatonin needs to be taken one hour or four hours after my thyroid pill. I take a mulitvitamin, iodine and a thyroid support vitamin in the morning and I have to take these four hours after my thyroid pills.
Avatar n tn I went to the doctor the other night for chest pains and found out I had acid reflex..... When they ran the blood tests they found I had elevated Lipase ( H 299). 446049 tn?1649005835 Wow! So awesome! There is absolutely a correlation to exercise and decreasing anxiety and even depression. Regulation of our body's nervous system can happen through exercise. We all know you release 'happy chemicals' when you exercise but you also increase your dopamine when you accomplish something (like saying you want to exercise and you actually do it). Cortisol is also impacted and that is our stress hormone. We have less. This is a 'good' thing.
