I posted that long post I referenced on another thread, and I was looking for it on this one...waiting, and waiting. So, more information is on the other one, Hormone Replacement 04/05 origionally started by lacjmc. DebiR, I put an idea out there regarding your struggle getting answers and I mentioned Dr. Erika. You will see. I had better get to bed and rest my brain! Goodnight.
A lady was using this supplement for her dog just to give her dog the necessary enzymes/nutrients not present in cooked kibble, (that are found in raw food). She discovered, as a side bonus that her dogs incontinence ceased after starting her dog on the Fresh Factors. It works. You can double or triple the dose if you wish, to boost it in the beginning, as well, with absolute safety/no harm or ill effects, whatsoever. Anyways, I tried it, and it works.
I think I get enough calcium. I'm thinking I could have gotten a parasite possibly from my dogs or in some other way. I am going to get this Ultra Colon I believe is what it is called and try this. It gets rid of parasites and cleans out your system which is what I need also. I have rheumatoid arthritis as well and take methotrexate. I don't think it will interact with my medication. I'm not worried about the effectiveness of my medication because my arthritis may be in remission.
I take phenergan myself for constant nausea, and discovered late in the game that dogs can also take phenergan. It didn't work quite as well as the reglan, but at that point we tried anything we could get our hands on. Over the counter Dramamine for motion sickness can be tried as it is metabolized in the liver - got that info from an ER vet nearby.
Has anyone had any experience of such a drastic change in mental health following this an op. If so, what caused it and how has it progressed?
I don't have allergies of any kind and I'm in excellent health and I can learn to live with the smell of fresh baked bread in my nostrils.. I mean it could be owrse.. still I think I should get someone to check this out especially as I read about Phantom smells being a possible side efect of brain tumors...
About 48 hours ago, I noticed this heat sensation in my left shin. At first I thought I was standing too close to a heat vent in the floor at work! It is a warm, sort of tingly sensation that lasts 5 seconds and occurs, I don't know, 10 times throughout the day. I wonder if I slept on the leg funny?? Stress?? I am 43 and in reasonably good health but seem to be a hypochondriac (spelling?) at times.
I wake every morning with horrible pain in lower back (kidney area) that radiates to the front of stomach (rib area). I have had battery of tests and found nothing. I am only able to sleep 5-6 hours before pain wakes me, also unable to take a deep breath until I get out of bed (very painful just to roll over), once I stand and get out of bed the pain almost immediately starts to ease. After about 20 minutes of walking around and after first morning void, pain disappears for remainder of day.
They are a big problem. As far as the peeing in her sleep, the vet can check her for an UTI or give her hormone replacement drugs, possibly. Good Luck.
For the last 4 years since returning to Illinois, I have been an extreme gardener and am no stranger to sweating all over! Prior to that, I was in project management in construction and engineering in Arizona. While in AZ, due to fibroids, I had a partial hysterectomy (uterus & cervix). 9 years before that I had an ectopic pregnancy rupture and my left fallopian tube was removed. 2 years ago here in IL, my right ovary was removed while having a recto seal.

There is medication the Vet can prescribe that helps in some cases. There is also hormone replacement therapy. Have never used this myself but have read about it. You might want to look up Belly Bands. These can really come in handy fir make dogs for a variety of reasons if he is dribbling all over.

Natural hormone replacement therapy (NHRT) is a misnomer. Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BNRT) is the proper term. This article will explain the important differences and why you should use Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy Bioidentical hormones have the exact molecular structure as those made in the human body. In other words, the two are indistinguishable from each other.
I know exactly how you feel. I am going through an awful time myself right now. The hot flashes are coming every half hour. I'm so irritable, I can't stand myself. Every thing seems to **** me off. I hate being this way. Took 1/4 of a Clonodine last night and still woke up 4 times with the sweats. I guess I'll try 1/2 tonight. I know I can't get hormones because I smoke. My family tip toes around me because I'm a time bomb ready to go off.
And vets lop off the manly bits from dogs and cats and they seem 'fine' so they think testosterone is 'optional' Maybe it is in cats and dogs, but it isn't in people. That said, I found that when I'm low on testosterone I find it very hard to deal with life. That is some sort of mental symptom that to me is very obvious particularly to me because if I'm off my meds for more than 36-48 hours I can totally feel it.
Hi and Welcome Tramadol Warriors, Please come on in and make yourself comfy. All are welcome.
From both your hypothyroidism and your children, your body may be metabolizing certain nutrients differently than before, or you may be more sensitive to certain types of foods than you had been previously. Your foundation in healthy eating will be your greatest ally in weeding out any potential suspects that may now be holding you back.
I have 3c ovca and had the debulking surgery July 05 followed by the standard taxol/carbo chemo which ended Nov 05. My hormone depletion symptoms started in earnest earlier this year with uncomfortable hot flashes and terrible sleep problems. My oncologist has flatly stated that I cannot take any HRT because of my disease. Obviously I don't want to do anything that will tempt a recurrence but I am miserable with these symptoms. And I don't feel like I can discuss this anymore with my onc.
, so it will probably be difficult to get anyone to treat you for thyroid, but a trial dose of thyroid hormone replacement wouldn't hurt and could very well help. Just to make it less expensive, next time you have thyroid blood work, all you really need to get is Free T3 (Triiodothyronine, Free), Free T4 and TSH. Thyroxine (Total T4), T3 uptake and Free thyroxine index are considered outdated and of very little value, so you can save your money on those.
It is comforting to know I am not the only one. Every time a new side effect hits, I wonder how many others have it (since the drug companies seem not to be talking about some of these sides. Walking in the woods. That is a good idea. crossroads: I can relate to the the hose, LOL. I had a little problem with applying too much Prep. H cream. (I thought is was the right amount but it was apparently too much.) I went to a funeral and then the luncheon afterwards.
And with all the drama surrounding the hormone issue, well, the first thought a person in the medical community who is not well versed in the Bio hormone issue, thinks of using a Progesterone or Progestin to protect the uterus. Well, here is the deal. There are so many more cell receptors in the brain than their are in the uterus. When we get cramps after a menstrual period (used to at least) it is the lack of Progesterone that causes the cramps.
The bad news, I have been having problems with a scratchy feeling in my right eye (have already had a lens replacement in this eye due to cataracts). The verdict, my eyelashes are growing funny (he gave me a very long technical name for the problem) and he suggested hot compresses. He also said that eyelashes have an attained memory and could become more problematic if allowed to grow incorrectly, odd. Anyone else have this problem? Did find a post here on the llama lash subject http://www.
If it can fight off cancer, it may be worth a try. I have already had one bout of cervical cancer, and every woman on my mom's side of the family ( except for a few younger cousins and myself ) have all had hysterectomies due to cancer/menopause. Thanks to both of you for your suggestions.
It was nonfunctional and benign, and I haven't had to use any hormone replacement in the 30 years since. Do you know if thyroid nodules are considered "thyroid disease" in general or "autoimmune" in particular?
If you can’t avoid or eliminate noise from barking dogs, loud neighbors, city traffic, or other people in your household, try masking it with a fan, recordings of soothing sounds, or white noise. You can buy a special sound machine or generate your own white noise by setting your radio between stations. Earplugs may also help. Keep your room cool. The temperature of your bedroom also affects sleep. Most people sleep best in a slightly cool room (around 65° F or 18° C) with adequate ventilation.
My illness became worse after I lost one of my dogs in 2004. One thing they've found in CFS patients is that we have oxidative stress... that is why supplements are vital if you have this illness or fibromyalgia. The only question is... where do you purchase quality supplements ? (consider that 90% of supplements sold in the U.S. have ingredients in them from China) There are ways to find out which supplements are the better ones...
More people need to get more information about the dangers of total hysterectomies , without hormone replacement. I was referred to a shrink also and they put me on antidepressantsand the reason she was doing good is because today anti's work one part of the brains hormones.
