Common Questions and Answers about Hormone levels weaning

hormone

Avatar f tn You may "give away" thyroid hormones in breast milk; however, they are testing only TSH, which is NOT a thyroid hormone, it's a pituitary hormone and not totally indicative of what your actual thyroid levels are doing. By basing your dosage on TSH, your doctor is doing a lot of "guess work" that is not to your advantage.

1936698 tn?1333915193 I'm confused. My doctor has never told me anything about hormone levels and looking out for them or anything. My friend just had a miscarriage last night at 11 weeks, and I feel terrible for her and I just want to cry because she was so excited. Her hormone level went from 73000 to 1200. How do you tell if your hormones dropped and what is so important about them during pregnancy? I'm 31 weeks along and I am so confused about all of it.
Avatar f tn Hormone levels as in HCG? I'd say no, that's not possible, there is a specific type of blood test (I believe) that you can get done to tell gender, but I don't think insurance covers it, so you'd have had to pay it out of pocket, did you have any issues that would require a specific blood test, or did you request one?

Avatar n tn Hi I hope someone can help. recently I have been back and to to the doctors for anxiety, something I have battled with all my life. I have now been put on sertraline a treatment for depression that hasn't helped and I an now weaning myself off. I am starting to think I may be suffering from a hormone imbalance as my symptoms seem to go when I start my period.
Avatar m tn Sorry to add to the confusion, but if you do have a thyroid problem it could cause everything that suggests an anxiety problem. You are right about that. Did he test just Tsh,. or T3 and T4? Did he suggest you come in for another blood test to see if it confirms the high thyroid and tests the complete thyroid, which docs don't usually do unless asked. Did he suggest you see an endocrinologist?
Avatar f tn So, Id get a little blood work done and check your hormone levels. I got pregnant within a month of weaning my first child. But I know for some it has taken longer.
Avatar n tn I went to the doctor for dizziness, headaches, weakness, nausea, hot flashes. He did blood work and found all my other levels normal except my FSH. He said it is just menopause and to exercise. I had a hysterectomy 10 years ago due to polps and have cysts on my ovaries now. What else if anything can I do to feel better?
Avatar f tn I have a friend who in the matter of 36 hours gained 10pounds. I suggested she go to the doctor and they started running tests. They ahve discovered her white bllod count is well into the 20,000,, her Cortisol levels are over 1000 as well as her ACTH levels. She has had multiple MRI's of her brain, 2 cat scans of her lungs and abdonmen. Now they are going to take a blood sample of her pituatary gland. Doctors are perplexed. Any thoughts?
Avatar m tn The ultrasound indicated that I was only about 4-5 weeks along so they started monitoring my hormone levels. In the 3 separate days of tests the doctors noticed that my levels were not increasing as they should and informed me that I would more than likely miscarry. The bleeding started two hours after the phone call. About 4 weeks later I returned to my doctor to make sure everything was going ok, as ok as these things can...
Avatar f tn Ok. I have had two miscarriages. The first one they said was because of the chromosomes. I was only seven weeks. The second time- everything seemed to be going fine. I thought I was about 10 weeks and I went to the emergency room and they said I needed to go see my ob. So I did the next day and we figured out that I had a blighted ovum and nothing was developing. Well I just found out two weeks ago I was pregnant. Well- I went to the er because I started having severe cramps and bleeding.
Avatar f tn I went to the er on weds and they did a hormone test and my levels were 215, and when I went back in today they did another test and they were only 238. She said I might have lost the baby, but if they went up doesnt that mean the baby is still growing? Does that mean im miscarriaging? And has anyone else had a successful pregnancy with low hormone levels?
Avatar f tn After complications began just over a week ago i was informed yesterday that my pregnancy hormone levels are slowly dcreesing. This does not rule out an ectopic pregnancy witch is what they belive i may have but as my bub is to young to find on an ultrasound they have no idea whats going on all they know is that my bub is slowly dieing and being absorbed back into my body and that there is nothing they can do to save it.
2129876 tn?1335500274 Hi, I'm a 41 yo female and was on 20 mg Paxil for at least 2 yrs. It did the trick, but I didn't like that it took away my interest in the bedroom scene, and I started seeing a psychiatrist Jan 2012 to start the taper process. We are doing: 10 mg x 14 days, 5 mg x 10 days, (liquid)- 2.5 mg x 10 days, 2 mg x 10 days, 1.5 mg x 10 days, then stop. I don't remember how long I've been on the 10 mg, but just before I switched, I had a hot flash out of nowhere.
