1134902 tn?1296066144 The days leading up to my period I was a ticking time bomb of anger, and would blow up at absolutely every minor thing, then I started getting cramps for a few days before menstruation (which I never really get), I have been so full of big under skin zits on my jawline, neck and back of neck. I got sore boobs (unusual for me) and then I spotted the day before my period started and bled fairly heavy (for me), soaking pads and super tampons for 2 days and now Im back to spotting.
Avatar f tn As the other causes for missed periods can be hormonal imbalances where in the ovaries may not be producing eggs and hence the uterus may not be getting the right stimulation for menstruation. Other possibilities are thyroid disorders, where an imbalance of the hormone thyroxine can cause menstrual irregularities, and abnormally high levels of prolactin can also cause missed periods. So, please consult your doctor and discuss these possibilities with him.
Avatar f tn Menstrual headaches present with migraine-type pain that occurs shortly before, during, or immediately after menstruation or at mid-cycle (at time of ovulation). This is due to irregularities in estrogen levels. Treatment is the same with migraine treatment. Small doses of vasoconstrictors and anti-inflammatory drugs taken before and during menstrual period may prevent headaches. Take care and best regards.
Avatar f tn Hello, You seem to be having the symptoms of metrorrhagia(heavy periods). Various factors causing it are endometriosis, ectopic pregnancy, hormone imbalance, endometrial hyperplasia, polyps, use of IUD’s and depo shots, sexually transmitted diseases,PCOS and benign and malignant pathologies of the uterus. You should consult a gynecologist and get an ultrasound uterus and a comprehensive profile of investigations done.

Avatar f tn Hormone levels as in HCG? I'd say no, that's not possible, there is a specific type of blood test (I believe) that you can get done to tell gender, but I don't think insurance covers it, so you'd have had to pay it out of pocket, did you have any issues that would require a specific blood test, or did you request one?

Can anyone help me? I don't have periods, I grow hair in places you don't want and more here are the lab results from lab. Avatar f tn If you were on birth control pills, I would say that the bleeding could be from missing a pill or not taking them at the same time every day and your hormone levels fluctuated. Hormone fluctuation or stress could be a cause. There is some chance that fibroids or cancer caused the bleeding, or maybe you were briefly pregnant and miscarried, but it was probably just hormones or stress (mine gets delayed when I am under a lot of stress, then I get it immediately when I relax). Goodluck!
1038742 tn?1321202084 If you think about it, you can only get preg one day a month, thats only 12 times a year at a chance for a baby, so they recommend you ttc for 1-2yrs before worring (yeah right huh :P ) but honestly i can't give you any advice on your levels, i don't have any knowledge on that, i'm sure you can look it up on the net and research favorable levels for ttc. I know that my hubby and I tried 6yrs before we had my daughter. Just didn't think we could have kids.

Avatar n tn Meanwhile, inside the uterus, the lining is getting thicker as the hormones that the follicular cyst is producing (estrogen) cause the endometrial lining to grow. This is all to prepare for a pregnancy. Right before menstruation, the lining is quite thick indeed. then when a pregnancy does not occur, the lining sloughs. that is called menstruation. so for you, if your are right before menstruation, that ultrasound could be completely normal.
