1139187 tn?1355706647 I got this idea after seeing your raised TSH when your T3/T4 were within range, though low. That is why I asked you about the levels of LH and Prolactin. Also, increased levels of adrenal hormones can affect other hormone levels, so testing of these hormones also is necessary. "I hope you are aware that T replacement can negatively affect the natural production of the hormone. WHich hormone are you referring to? " I meant the natural production of testosterone by by testes.
Avatar m tn I have low FSH & LH level (0.3U/L for both). Are there hormone injections I could take to increase these levels.
Avatar f tn s since day 10, and still have a positive OPK today on day 14. My BBT shows I have not ovulated. Therefore, my LH levels have been elevated for 4 days now. Is this because of the Polycystic Ovaries, and more importantly, does this mean I will not ovulate this cycle?
574574 tn?1217379626 m not sure about your e2 level, and LH is usually run on CD3 with FSH to check those levels. If they caught your LH on the surge day around ovulation it would show something, otherwise a level of nine seems to me like it would be coming back down from your surge - but I'm no doctor. Here is a GREAT website for info on hormone levels, and you may notice - where I got a lot of my info! ;o) http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hormonelevels.
Avatar m tn Luteinizing hormone (LH, also known as lutropin [1] and sometimes lutrophin [2]) is a hormone produced by gonadotroph cells in the anterior pituitary gland. In females, an acute rise of LH ("LH surge") triggers ovulation[3] and development of the corpus luteum. In males, where LH had also been called interstitial cell-stimulating hormone (ICSH),[4] it stimulates Leydig cell production of testosterone.[3] It acts synergistically with FSH.
Avatar f tn I took a hormone blood test the other day and the results showed higher levels of LH compared with the levels of FSH (I took the test on day 3 of my period. LH: 7.70 and FSH: 4.4) and so my doctor immediately told me that I had PCOS and that I should start treatment. I was shocked when he told me because he's been doing ultrasounds on me for the past 4 years or so and not once did he mention that I had multiple cysts in the ovaries or anything.
Avatar f tn I think im having hormone issues but the blood test appears to be normal (have to chat my doctor more about the results though). Here is what has happened so far: August: Diagnosed with ovarian cyst October: Told to go off the pill (yasmin). Had been on it for about 3 years. November: Surgery to remove ovarian cyst, left ovary and tube. Anaemia. Did not have a period, due to come a week after surgery.
Avatar m tn What could be causing the low FSH and LH? How can I raise these levels? Is there a relation between the low FSH+LH and the T? And should I undergo testosterone therapy? Thanks. Nov. 2016 FSH: 1.5 (Low) Reference range: 1.6 - 8.0 mIU/mL LH: 0.5 (Low) Reference range: 1.5 - 9.3 Sex Hormone Binding Glob: 30 Reference range: 10 - 50 nmol/L Dihydrotestosteron: 25 Reference range: 16 - 79 ng/dL Testosterone, Tot, LC/MS/MS: 295 Reference range: 250 - 1100 ng/dL Testosterone, Free: 48.
532636 tn?1213128073 They said the spectrum is too wide and that I am on birth control so the results will not come out right. I ordered a hormone test from ZRT labs and the results came back that several of my hormones were low. The gynecologists said that is probably becasue I was on the pill and it affected the results. But everyone who knows me and touches me says that I am so hot it is unbelievable. I sweat excessively and I feel a little irritable. It is not stress or nerves. I am positive it is hormones.
Avatar m tn As far as I am aware they are simply referred to as FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone) and LH (Leutinizing Hormone). I am not aware of any other terms used for FSH and LH. I have recently contacted a fertility clinic overseas as I had a query and the first thing they asked me is for my husband's FSH so I doubt whether there is another term for them.

Avatar f tn Im just wondering (as im now in the 2ww) if the lh levels are meant to drop. I have heard if you are pregnant the lh levels stay high and now im very sceptical as to whether i have conceived or not. Has anyone else used ovulation sticks and seen their lh levels drop, but you were pregnant?
898040 tn?1284036509 Remind me what you're being tested for? LH is the luteinizing hormone. I had mine checked when they were testing me for PCOS (along with many other hormones) for hormonal imbalance. It is the hormone that elevates right before ovulation so CD3 is an interesting time to test it. Have you been using OPKs and getting a lot of positives day-after-day?
