Your body needs to pass the baby completely for your levels to start going down again. I'm sorry but it's highly probable that you've might of lost this baby. Your levels should have doubled unless it was ectopic but I'm sure you would have been told.
After complications began just over a week ago i was informed yesterday that my pregnancy hormone levels are slowly dcreesing. This does not rule out an ectopic pregnancy witch is what they belive i may have but as my bub is to young to find on an ultrasound they have no idea whats going on all they know is that my bub is slowly dieing and being absorbed back into my body and that there is nothing they can do to save it.
It is SUPER rare to get to 17 weeks with a tubal pregnancy without dieing, honestly, just because your levels are high doesn't necessarily mean it's twins, with my son my levels were so high they were SURE it was at least twins, and it was one very healthy baby. If they've checked your tubes and it shows nothing at 12 weeks, it's likely you're not having a tubal pregnancy, it would be visible by now.
I'm 6 week's pregnant according to my last cycle, went to my first prenatal visit and there was no gestational sac on ultrasound. Im so worried. My doctor gave me 3 reason as to why this may have happened which is, I could be 4 weeks instead of 6, something could have went wrong during fertilization and there's actually no baby, or ectopic pregnancy. Has this happen to anyone?
Hello! Before I start, let me say that I know this probably means I have a chemical pregnancy. I got a trigger shot around 11 am on 6/18. My doctor did a blood HCG test the morning of 7/2 (14 days after the trigger shot - not 14 days after ovulation) and my HCG was 26.4. That seemed low to me but I know the numbers have to start somewhere. I went back the morning of 7/4 for more bloodwork and this time my HCG had dropped to 25.1.
My tubes have been tied for 4 years. Im now 4 days late. The only times I have been late I was pregnant. I took two tests and they were both negative. Kinda freakin out about possible ectopic pregnancy. Is it still too early to test or maybe it's ectopic and the hormone levels are too low?

They told me I was & then they gave me a vaginal ultrasound, & couldnt find the sac, They said for how high my hormone levels are they should be able to see something, I have another appointment in 2 days to see if my levels doubled & to see if they can see the sac. They mentioned I could be preparing for a miscariage.
At my ultra sound appt they saw the gestational sac and it was measuring me to be able 5 weeks, however there was no yolk sac and no fetal pole. They left it to hormone levels, and hormone levels are right on track with being 5 weeks. They wanted a follow up for the next week.. the next week I go in, same thing.. there is my sac, measuring at 6 weeks 1 day, yet no yolk sac and no fetal pole. They take hormone levels they have increased up to 9000, which they said is right on track.

The preg test was negative, but one week after I did it myself at home and it was "positive", so went to the doctor and did a pelvic and vaginal ultrasound, she said she could not see anything than a "nest", so I'm counting I have 3 weeks pregnant.

I went today. My hormone level is now over a thousand which is where it should be so no signs of ectopic or miscarriage. Dr said strict bedrest for a few days too just to be cautious.
I went to the ER for abdominal cramping (lasted 3 days) and was told I was 5-6 weeks pregnant and the cramping is more than likely an ectopic pregnancy. An ultrasound was done and nothing could be seen in my uterus. A cyst was found on one ovary. They told me my hormone levels are only 1000 so in 48 hours they should reach 2000 and another ultrasound needs to be done because something should then be seen in the uterus. I was also told I have a UTI and was given antibiotics.
If you were my patient, I would be very concerned about ectopic pregnancy. Once the hcg level is over 1000, it should be possible to "see" the pregnancy. If you were my patient, I would want to repeat your quantitative beta hcg in 48 hours and I would also want to check a progesterone level. For a normal pregnancy, the hcg should rise at least 60% in 48 hours (approximately double) and the progesterone level should be approximately 15.
Only in a very few rare cases doesn hCG never show up on urine or blood tests. Blood tests pick up hCG levels how ever much they are, so if you have any levels that are over 5 or 10 (which is what they look for to indicate pregnancy) then it should have been seen.
There are a few rare cases this has happened, and it only showed on ultrasound. But most likely reason is you're not pregnant and something else is delaying your period.
The ultrasound indicated that I was only about 4-5 weeks along so they started monitoring my hormone levels. In the 3 separate days of tests the doctors noticed that my levels were not increasing as they should and informed me that I would more than likely miscarry.
