1936698 tn?1333915193 At 31 weeks your hormone levels are not being looked at anymore. By hormone levels I think you mean HCG. In early pregnancy if a Dr. is trying to tell if you are pregnant or if they are unsure if you are having a miscarriage or not they will look at your HCG levels. These levels should double every 48-72 hours, if they do not it is usually a bad sign. After they can see baby on the Ultrasound and get a strong Heartbeat they will stop taking these HCG levels.
Avatar m tn The ultrasound indicated that I was only about 4-5 weeks along so they started monitoring my hormone levels. In the 3 separate days of tests the doctors noticed that my levels were not increasing as they should and informed me that I would more than likely miscarry. The bleeding started two hours after the phone call. About 4 weeks later I returned to my doctor to make sure everything was going ok, as ok as these things can...

Avatar m tn t tell us anything else, I asked her about hormone pills to get the levels up but she refused, she is 5wks5days. So she said we have an abnormal pregnancy then there is baby, see you in 2 weeks. Should we be worried, get a 2nd opinion or what?
4974520 tn?1366757591 Oh okay well i had to ask the doctor what mine were because when they do test to confim ur pregnancy or for any reason to do with ur pregnancy they get the levels to see how it is progressing..
Avatar f tn You should ask that thyroid hormones, Free T3 and Free T4 be tested to make sure your thyroid hormone levels are adequate. You should have your FT3 and FT4 levels tested monthly throughout the pregnancy to be sure your levels remain stable and "sufficient", not just within the normal range. Do you have any symptoms of hypothyroidism?

Avatar f tn Hey, How long does it usually take for the pregnancy hormone to get out of your system after a MC? I called my Ob the other day and she said that as long as I wasn't bleeding then we could start ttc again. So, I was just wondering how long the hormone stays in your system.

Avatar n tn Hello all, I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice (or reassurance)On Monday I found out I was pregnant- JUST. I think I was 7 days past Ovulation at that point. On the Toesday I had my bloods done and my HCG level was 20. 48 Hours later my HCG level was 28. The Dr in the Early Pregnancy Unit said that it hasn't risen enough and I will probably miscarry. My own GP said that, at this very early stage the HCG will not have started the pattern of doubling every 48-72 hours.
Avatar f tn Ok. I have had two miscarriages. The first one they said was because of the chromosomes. I was only seven weeks. The second time- everything seemed to be going fine. I thought I was about 10 weeks and I went to the emergency room and they said I needed to go see my ob. So I did the next day and we figured out that I had a blighted ovum and nothing was developing. Well I just found out two weeks ago I was pregnant. Well- I went to the er because I started having severe cramps and bleeding.
362408 tn?1236441081 It is still too early for even the most sensitive blood test...if af is supposed to come on the 22 and today is the 16th that means that you ov'd about 8 days ago...so the implantation stage wouldn't have had enough time to start raising your hormone levels...Wait until the day you are supposed to get af...if nothing then test...sometimes even on the first day of a missed period, a hpt cannot detect the hormone changes...
377412 tn?1283809646 I have lost some of the tenderness in my breasts and Im wondering if there isnt a decrease in hormone levels somewhere? Or am I just being paranoid from previous miscarriages?
Avatar n tn I do not want to try and get pregnant again without all my hormone levels correct. When do you think I can correctly get my hormone levels checked? Do you think I should go ahead a book an appointment with a fertility doctor for a few months. So that if the problem is low progesterone .I can try to get my levels up. I really don not know how to proceed.I had a health pregnancy 11 years ago. Although it did take a while to get pregnant.
Avatar f tn After complications began just over a week ago i was informed yesterday that my pregnancy hormone levels are slowly dcreesing. This does not rule out an ectopic pregnancy witch is what they belive i may have but as my bub is to young to find on an ultrasound they have no idea whats going on all they know is that my bub is slowly dieing and being absorbed back into my body and that there is nothing they can do to save it.
Avatar f tn Your body needs to pass the baby completely for your levels to start going down again. I'm sorry but it's highly probable that you've might of lost this baby. Your levels should have doubled unless it was ectopic but I'm sure you would have been told.
Avatar f tn As soon as I found out I was pregnant, the doctor took blood to test my hormone levels. They said"you need to get into your ob asap because it isn't an early pregnancy. It's between fifteen and nineteen weeks." Naturally, I freaked out a little thinking I had missed my first half of my pregnancy! At my ultrasound I found out I'm actually only 7 weeks and my hormones are just crazy high...
Avatar m tn everyone is different if the transplant is a success it all varies on how fast your hormone levels go up.
571415 tn?1217039962 Fatigue Fatigue also ranks high among early symptoms of pregnancy. During early pregnancy, levels of the hormone progesterone soar. In high enough doses, progesterone can put you to sleep. At the same time, lower blood sugar levels, lower blood pressure and increased blood production may team up to sap your energy. Slight bleeding or cramping For some women, a small amount of spotting or vaginal bleeding is one of the first symptoms of pregnancy.
Avatar f tn HCG is short for Human chorionic gonadotropin which is a specific hormone that is released into your body (blood, urine) at the time of pregnancy, it helps sustain an early pregnancy until the placenta can take over, this is what your hpt picks up on to give you a positive, there are two types of blood te4sts that measure this, one just says yes or no to pregnancy, the other is a couple of tests 2-3 days apart and this measure the amunt the hcg rises.
