Hormone imbalance nausea

Common Questions and Answers about Hormone imbalance nausea

hormone

anywho my question is...could this be caused by a hormone imbalance brought on by my intense workout? even tho Im only spotting, Im still cramping. My family doc is booked up until the new year, so I can't see her anytime soon.
I guess what I'm asking is that do any of you think that these symptoms could be caused by extreme hormone imbalance? No one has ever tested my hormones before. I find it weird that they all started almost a month to the day I quit birth control. Also, my period was never regular when I was younger, I matured late and would sometimes go 6 months without getting my period. I was also anorexic during high school which didn't help. But I am no longer and eat very healthy.
The current theory is perimenopause-related hormone imbalance. I'm skeptical. Sure, I'm almost 50. But I've never had the more common symptoms of perimenopause, such as hot flashes or night sweats, and my periods are as regular as clockwork. I'm curious if anyone has experience with hormone imbalance (HI) related to perimenopause, and if the sometimes erratic symptoms of HI could include the symptoms I've described? Thanks!
Hi i had many issues with anxiety etc u just described... i taken several different pills, nothing seemed to help, finally i was on citalopram for 1.5 years, and slowly cut them out, but put on 3 stones...
I began struggling with periods of extreme fatigue, excessive sweating, nausea, muscle weakness, etc. about a year ago. I expressed these annoying symptoms to my doctor and had several blood tests done which did not show anything abnormal. He decided that we should try a different birth control pill. I tried it for one month, felt worse and didn't ever have a period that month. I returned to the other pill, which I had been using for over a year.
I'm sorry , I know this is TMI, but today and yesterday I've been so constipated and I haven't been like that since I was 12 years old! so this is practically new to me! not only that but my boobs haven't stopped being sore since last week, and I can see more and more veins, I'm like a road map! Oh and i woke up with a little nausea today (just a little, like the feeling of "hey i have nausea!" not the "I GOTTA RUN IM GOING TO PUKE MY BRAINS OUT").
I'm 36 w/ signs of hormonal imbalance (excess hair & acne since puberty). With normal cycles (in my 20s, 28-day clockwork), weight and glucose levels, I never had a PCOS workup. Then I hit my 30s. At 31, my cycles suddenly went from 28 days to an avg. of 25 days with a drastic drop in flow. When I mentioned to my doc, was told things were changing because I was getting older. I settled into that routine for 5 years.
Hello: Last fall I got a hormone test. Testosterone was 370 and estrogen was 20. But since then I have lost weight probably 30 pounds. My questions are: 1) Is 370 within range for testosterone therapy? (My doctor told me it was normal but it seams low to me) 2) Could my testosterone levels increased do to weight loss? If so does anybody know how much testosterone can fluxuate from weight loss?
I was diagnosed with PCOS long ago and was told that there was a good chance that I would not be able to have kids. ..I now have 2 beautiful daughters. I did not take any drugs to assist in the pregnancies. About 6 months or so before each pregnancy, I started having severe anxiety issues and many strange mental and physical symptoms. With my first daughter, the symptoms went away after birth. But, with my second, I am having a really hard time. She was born 9 months ago.
Sounds like you could be pregnant, I had serious bloating as my first symptom. You need to go get a blood test to be sure.
I also have very poor motor skills and fatigue. My doctors also suspect that i have pcos because of some hormone issues I have been having lately, and excess body hair, although I am unsure as to whether the symptoms are related. These symptoms have been present at least three years, and I don't have an answer. Can you help?
She's got a serious hormonal imbalance and the doctors gave her birth control (Yasmin) to get the imbalance under control.. (The imbalance caused fatigue, moodswings etc etc..
My 17 y/o daughter has been complaining of nausea and early satiety for several months. She has always been very thin and is now 5'10" and generally weighs around 110-115 lb. She began complaining of inability to eat because of severe nausea and I just kept encouraging her to eat, thinking that her busyness at school and with cheerleading was the culprit. However, her complaints of nausea and then fatigue became so severe that I took her in and asked for blood work for mono, anemia, etc.
Ever since I can remember I have had awful morning nausea, before I ever got to puberty. When I hit puberty, the morning nausea continued and I had horrible cramps which I still get sometimes. They completely immobilize me for at least a day. I have passed out from the pain on multiple occasions, vomited, gone into cold sweats, and sometimes my arms and legs even go numb. I'm wondering if this is all related to some hormonal imbalance.
Hello, my worst symptom is almost constant nausea- ranges from mild to severe, no vomiting, normal bowel movements.
I knew I could not go back to my neurologist, so I went to my ob/gyn and he said a hormone imbalance could absolutely cause seizures. I am now using hormone creams (all three, estrogen, progesterone and testerone). I no longer take anti-seizure meds. I still get aura's but only around the time of my cycle.

I will have to find out about the hormone thing and nausea, but looking at what the others wrote it kind of makes sense. I am the person who ALWAYS gets nauseous, but I was not nauseous prior to diagnosis. Now I think that maybe that was because I was post menopausal and my hormones weren't the way they were before menopause. I hope they figure all of this out very soon.

Other causes are hypothyroidism, cervical dysplasia, cervical polyps, cervicitis (infection/inflammation of cervix), vaginitis (infection/inflammation of vagina), cervical and uterine cancer, uterine fibroids, hormonal imbalance, use of blood thinners, genital ulcers, STDs and stress. Hypothyroidism and hormone imbalance should be ruled out first as you also have weight gain. As SurgiMenopause said, you can consult a endocrinologist. Pain in joints can be due to low Vit D.
I am wondering if I could have some type of hormone imbalance? It seems like that could be linked to having the cyst, and I know my mom had imbalance problems when she was my age- and she also had a cyst just like mine. I've always had heavy periods, but I didn't think it was a big deal as long as I had them regularly. Lately I've been feeling lightheaded and kind of like I'm not fully awake, even though I'm getting plenty of sleep.
Hi! I will slide you a freebie this time around--I hope there will not be any confusion. Usually I answer one free question per day, and charge for the remainder. In your case, I would suggest blood test to double check. I don't know if the dentist/oral surgeon plans to do any preoperative blood work, but it is possible that they could do the test for you. In fact I strongly suspect that they are going to REQUIRE a test before they will proceed with surgery!
Since August of 1997 I have had chronic nausea (DAILY). Prior to August of 1997 I had 3 years of intermittant nausea (maybe 4 times a month). Since August I have been in the hospital several times and treated for dehydration. I have no appitite, and must force myself to eat. I may vomit once every six months. I feel tired and sluggish and am aware of a low grade fever that I have daily (normal to 99.

I just stopped my birth control pill about 6 weeks ago and I am wondering if I have some sort of hormone imbalance. I can't seem to find out much information about hormone imbalances and was wondering if you knew much about it. I am also wondering if this is just not GERD, but I don't want to take any medication because I have been advised by my liver specialist to stop all medication, as I am having some problems with elevated liver enzymes which appears to be medication induced.
