Avatar f tn Women who have a healthy hormone balance tend to enjoy their lives the most. Hormone fluctuations can result in several problems such as perimenopausal difficulties, premenstrual syndrome, mood swings, fibroids, heart disease, breast cancer, and ovarian cysts. Usually, women don’t completely meet what their bodies need—food and exercise to reduce stress and feel better. Diet, nutrition, and workout are some of the common lifestyle changes that can help women restore hormone balance.
2014797 tn?1328227418 Hard to say. Usual reasons are Age- hormones or it could be a miscarriage...it's probably hormone imbalance of some kind but if its unusual for you, your menses are usually normal, then it's best to get a doctor's opinion. Bleeding that long can also cause anemia, so best to get it checked out.

1134902 tn?1296066144 anywho my question is...could this be caused by a hormone imbalance brought on by my intense workout? even tho Im only spotting, Im still cramping. My family doc is booked up until the new year, so I can't see her anytime soon.
Avatar f tn m asking is that do any of you think that these symptoms could be caused by extreme hormone imbalance? No one has ever tested my hormones before. I find it weird that they all started almost a month to the day I quit birth control. Also, my period was never regular when I was younger, I matured late and would sometimes go 6 months without getting my period. I was also anorexic during high school which didn't help. But I am no longer and eat very healthy.
Avatar f tn Sorry to hear about the non stop spotting! What a pain. Something that can cause this is a hormone imbalance such as too much progesterone production. You'll need to see a doctor to diagnose that if this is what is going on and they can treat you for it so that the spotting will stop. However, again, this requires a trip to the doctor. An ob/gyn is well versed in these sorts of things, so I'd schedule an appointment. If you don't have one, this is a good time to find one.

20829649 tn?1526559848 Fibroids, hormone imbalance like too much progesterone? Either way, it's not healthy to bleed for longer than 7 days so you should be seen by your doctor. They will want to determine what is going on. Let us know what the doctor says!
Avatar n tn It could be that your body is still producing estrogen over and above what should be at this stage of things and feeding the fibroids. Has your doc suggested anything to help this situation yet? I'm assuming that you've had an ultrasound to know that they have grown so, I'm wondering if your doc has also checked the thickness of your uterine lining? It sounds like it is hormone related but, only your doc can do the necessary testings to say for sure.
