Avatar f tn I would talk to your doctor first before applying something intended for oral use on your skin. Usually creams or other products designed to be absorbed through the skin need special chemicals to help them get through the skin barrier (water doesn't penetrate the skin, nor do most soaps, lotions, or other things you usually put on your skin. Skin is designed to keep out foreign invaders, such as viruses and bacteria, so it isn't easy for most things to be absorbed).

Avatar m tn Also try to keep your hair free of dandruff by using good antidandruff shampoos. You can also apply benzoyl peroxide creams or clindamycin cream on the acne. If the symptoms persist, then oral antibiotics may be needed. For the scars of acne, treatments with acids and chemical peels can be effective but can take a while for the skin to totally revert to its normal color. Microdermabrasion can also be done, but this might require several sessions.

Avatar n tn I recommend you have blood tests to determine hormone levels. At the very least, they should test for estrogen, testosterone free and serum and thyroid. I get bioidentical hormones of estrogen and testesterone. I also have low thyroid so take meds for that as well. There are different methods of delivery for the estrogen and testosterone: pills, creams, gels, patches and pellets. I get the pellets. They are implanted under the skin on my hip about every 3-5 months.
