There are good lubes out there besides ky. Sweet Almond Oil is my favorite. You can buy it in a better grocery store in the oil aisle or a health store as a massage oil. Some women like Astro-glide.

Ever since I began going through menopause about two years ago, intercourse has been extremely painful. I've tried using nearly every lubricant on the market and so far nothing helps. I end up being torn and bleeding. Obviously it does not make intercourse a pleasurable experience any longer. Last week I saw my gynecologist and when she used a speculum and the same thing happened. I felt torn and bled for a few hours after and urinating brought tears to my eyes it stung so much.
Try a water-based lubricant like Astroglide, and try some different positions. Your changing body and hormone levels can throw a monkey wrench into your "routine" but it's totally normal and just requires a bit of creativity and open-mindedness.

74/ About 5 weeks later my TSh is 1.73 Free t3 is 2.7 nad the Free T4 is 1.04 I have been off and off the snythoird her eand ther not taking it regular missed a week, since my it was making me feel terrible nad the dr had me go off for a week.

With the help of my counselor, I weened myself off and have been free of it for a few months. When we had sex afterwards and I had a problem with not being lubricated enough, I kinda just gently forced it, even though it hurt a little. I end each session by applying a personal lubricant, hoping that it acts as a deterrent. It did help some, but not nearly enough. For additional lubrication for intercourse, use a water-soluble, starch-based lubricant (for example, KY jelly) or a vaginal moisturizer (for example, Sylk, Replens or Senselle) rather than a petroleum-based product like Vaseline, which may interfere with your natural secretions. Apart from Sylk (see Useful contacts), which is available by mail order and from some stockists, these products can all be bought from a pharmacy – you do not need a prescription.
Depends on the blood test. One only looks for the hormone and one tests the exact amount in your blood. (can't remember the exact names of them at the moment though) The first one can be wrong, while the other is rarely wrong unless a lab error was done.
I have always had a large amount of vaginal discharge and have never needed lubricant for intercourse, and my husband has always found this to be a huge turn on. Lately however (I would say the last year or so) I have started to notice an increase in discharge with no other symptoms. I am not sure what specifically is causing it but it is the same discharge I have always had but more of it.
Bacterial infections can vary greatly in their type of discharge and odor so a lab test is the only way to narrow down what it could be. They could come and go based on the monthly changes in your cycle as hormone levels fluctuate, or even based on diet.
And of course another thing to pay attention to are environmental factors like soap or laundry detergents. The fewer scents and chemicals the better.

I felt amazing after taking the Levothyroxine (50mcg once daily) but began feeling really run a few weeks later so she ordered a full work up and included the TSH within Reflex to FT4 and free T3. Comparing the results, they both lowered TSH w/reflex is now 1.73 and my free T3 is 2.9. Per labs this is still within normal range albeit the lower end for Free T3. My doctor is out of the office for the week and I thought to come here for some insight as I am completely new to this.

About 13 months ago I had surgery to remove a pituitary tumor and I am now on full hormone replacement. For the most part my recovery has gone great. However, I believe I do have problems with either the dosage (.125mg) of my thyroid hormone or the drug itself (levoxyl).
I have an endocrinologist that has been with me since the surgery and they refuse to change anything because my T4 level is in the "normal" range at 1.5.
