Avatar m tn Talk to your doctor about getting your thyroid tested and other functions, as well as getting your hormone levels checked. All of these questions need your doctor's input.
Plant Is there a home hormone test to check for menopause or peri-menopause, I can purchase without going to the doctor?
Avatar f tn Hi im 18 can my GP offer a hormone test as i feel i have a hormone balance or is this something you have to buy like a kit (i also have an under active thyroid)
Avatar n tn A neurologist did the same tests (balance test) on my son, and said he didn't have any tumor. He was wrong. I later took my son to an endocrinologist who ordered an MRI - he had a pituitary tumor. The trouble was, pituitary tumors don't cause balance problems. The dizziness was from changes in blood pressure due to hormone imbalance. Adrenal hormone loss can also cause anxiety. The only way to know for certain if you have a brain tumor is to see it on MRI.
Avatar n tn I have mood swings, and I am trying to find a doctor to check my hormone balance. I have been to family practice doctors, but they did not do any blood work or anything. I have been to gynecologist who put me on a pill, which did not solve my problems. Which doctor should I go to get my blood work test checked? Which hormons directly related to mood swings? What blood work should be done?
Avatar n tn I got my first cervix check yesterday at 35+5. I got my group b strep test and my doctor said he could go ahead and check to see if I was dialted if I wanted to and I said yes.

Avatar f tn It sounds to me like your hormones may be off balance. Has anyone done a blood test to check your hormone levels? I'm pretty sure that at 22 years of age and 2 children later, you're not in menopause but, something is causing these night sweats and you shouldn't have to suffer through them because your doc doesn't know and is not looking any further as to the cause.
Avatar f tn Have you had your hormone balance checked? Hormone imbalance can cause that type of cyst/abscess around the vaginal area. I have also had the same problem in the past, and it was present for years. Since I have tested my hormone levels and started treating the imbalance, the cysts have completely disappeared. Hormone imbalances can also cause deficiencies in vitamins in the body that are essential for your immune system.
2120898 tn?1334883998 I am new to the group. Just found out I am Vit D deficient - 16. I am taking 50,000 iu's once per wk for the next 3 months and then go back for a re-check.. Just took my second pill 2 days ago. First week I thought I felt a little better, The last two nights have been worse. The leg cramps have kept me from sleeping much. My symptoms are: calf, toe, jaw, finger cramping, bone pain, numbness in my feet, balance problems, muscle weakness, tiredness, and depression.
Avatar m tn the other symptoms have come and gone (and come again) but the balance issue is a constant. Here is a link describing the VNG test and additional tests that I will have done. http://nationaldizzyandbalancecenter.com/services/balance-lab-testing/ http://vestibular.org/sites/default/files/page_files/Documents/Diagnostic%20Tests%20for%20Vestibular%20Disorders.pdf I hope you can get some answers...it's very hard to be out in the world when you feel so unstable!
Avatar f tn t, we just have to focus on getting our bodies into balance. (better diet, good supplements, hormone balance, lower stress level, adequate sleep, etc.) Once our bodies are in good shape physically, there is a much better chance that they can do what they're meant to do. I have been working for several months and am starting to notice some significant progress. I still haven't carried to term yet, but I KNOW I will! We're all still relatively young!
Avatar f tn I agree with the comment above that you should have your hormone levels checked again before you start any meds, did you have any tests taken before you were started back on metformin, sometimes after a pregnancy your hormone can balance themselves out making it a bit easier 2nd time round i would try the metformin for a few months before you add in clomid as you may not need it. Hope This Helps!
Avatar f tn I am having a host of other bizarre symptoms - most scary is this odd dizziness, a distinct sense of being off balance, like something is really wrong with my equilibrium. I have had my heart listened to, EKGs in the ER for panic attacks so many times I've lost count, every time my BP is taken it's near perfect, I've had doctors tell me my BP is "textbook", or "lots of people wish they had your BP", etc.
Avatar n tn well my opinion is that you do ask this foster parent to take the child to get checked out ..you are still his Mom .if you dont get anywhere report it to the social services the foster parent is not doing her duty. This small helpless child is what matters ....Just do it ...
Avatar n tn They did my group b test done and I'm positive.Should I be concern? My doctor say not to worry they only have to give antibodies during labor. For my first pregnacy this didn't happen.Im also worry that this baby is going to be bigger than my first one.Can my doctor tell how much my baby weight he says all the time that baby is the size it suppose to be.
Avatar f tn They did the Group B strep test for me at 36wks, then my doctor was like "well you mentioned contractions, so I'll just go ahead and check". Then at my 37 and 38wk appts, they ASKED me if I wanted my cervix checked. But yeah, feel free to ask em to check!
Avatar f tn I had my weekly checks started since 34wks then 36wks was my group b strep test. My on also checked where baby is positioned and will be doing this weekly as well. Ask you doctor to examine you down there.
