Avatar f tn The problem is that my Follicle is not reaching optimum size and this might be because of some hormone imbalance. FSH injections and Letroz tablets are doses for hormonal stimulation for follicle growth. However there are no tests done for LH, FSH, Estradiol and Progesterone but my Doctors said the symptoms are not to have these tests done. I am worried that 1) Is there a natural way to improve the hormonal balance? 2) Can my glands become dependent on external stimulants for forever?
1535467 tn?1342231670 Its a hard thing and frustration is common. Lets talk about the 101 of desiccated thyroid. maybe that can help here. When on a natural combo NDT raises are common. The reason why is uncertain except for the thyroid "liking" the hormone coming in and is "hungry" for it until a balance is found.
Avatar f tn A healthy diet is also very important for hormone balance and good general health, home made veg soup and meat such as chicken is very good, and obviously fruits. This is all good, helps with hormone balance, if there not balanced then periods are effected. Good hormone balanced means will help make ur period regular, pls avoid fried foods, junk food, fizzy drinks and limit Caffine and tin foods as much as possible. 5.

Avatar m tn I am keen to balance out any hormone imbalance but i seem to have a sensitivity to omega 3, or perhaps is it iodine? Most of the literature online seems to suggest omega 3 will reduce inflammation, thereby helping reduce acne.

Avatar f tn I was 35 years old. My GP put me straight onto hormone replacement tablets - they were called solo. After 6 years I decided to stop taking them because of the dangers of hrt that I had read about. I have suffered with depression in the past but up until approx 2 years ago (when I stopped taking solo) had been ok and working. Over the last two years my moods have swung from one extreme to another. Happiness to extreme lows.
Avatar f tn I keep having frequent urination so they thought maybe my Ant-Diuretic Hormone which the gland makes to tell your kidneys to hold onto fluids. All came back okay. The pituitary gland has so many functions. That is the only story i have to share with that gland. Sorry, not much help.

Avatar m tn Thanks ginger! I'm not trying to fix anything tho, I'm just trying to support his overall health. Low testosterone is directly related to prostate cancer in us old guys. Its has many physiological benefits. I know from personal experience. Natural testosterone cream reduced my blood sugar, triglyceride and cholesterol levels to a normal range. My depression lifted and my enegry levels increased. When testosterone is converted to DHT and estrogen it can be problematic.
Avatar f tn Women who have a healthy hormone balance tend to enjoy their lives the most. Hormone fluctuations can result in several problems such as perimenopausal difficulties, premenstrual syndrome, mood swings, fibroids, heart disease, breast cancer, and ovarian cysts. Usually, women don’t completely meet what their bodies need—food and exercise to reduce stress and feel better. Diet, nutrition, and workout are some of the common lifestyle changes that can help women restore hormone balance.
Avatar f tn By nature, birth control works by changing the hormone balance in your body. I believe in most cases it makes your body think you're pregnant so that you won't get pregnant. It's probably this change in hormone balance that's causing this. There are 2 possibilities: it could be that over time your body will adjust & you won't feel so sexually charged. Some women have a drop in their desire when on the pill. The other possibility is you could ask your Dr.
Avatar f tn Because you had a hysterectomy, the usual natural approach is more complex. I'd advise seeing a naturopath. The usual approach would be to use a trial and error approach with the great many herbs and "natural" hormones that are derived from the Mexican Wild Yam that help to balance hormones, but again, since you've had a hysterectomy, you might want to see a naturopath who knows more about what influence that has on the matter.
945508 tn?1259156758 Estrogen is added back to maintain hormonal balance within the endometrium. The estrogen level usually drops after egg retrieval since many estrogen producing cells are also removed along with the eggs. Estrogen can be used as a patch or as tablets. http://www.ivfmd.net/Treatment/treatment2.htm Make sure your RE is monitoring your estrogen level after your transfer and not waiting until your hcg...
Avatar f tn A couple of months ago, I ended up in ER with acute symptoms relating to overmediation with synthroid. I was on 175 mcg. I was having severe tremors, palpitations, blood pressure and pulse rate were sky high, and of course then the anxiety kicked in. Luckily I had some low dose Ativan - took 2 tablets and got to the hospital. My ECG was normal, but showed some PVC's (from the anxiety I was told). My TSH was 0.1 mU/L (Normal 0.3-5.

Avatar n tn Another thing I read which has been worrying me a bit is some people say the actual brand of synthetic thyroxine can make a difference. My 50mcg tablets are made by a different company to the 25mcg tablets (I am on 75mcg per day), so could this make any difference? Is there one brand that is better than others? Initially I was given Eltroxin, but now it just says levothyroxine on the box.
