Avatar f tn But this months cycle was worse, plus for about 5-6 days I was waking up after only 5-6 hours of sleep, and being jittery and unable to go back to sleep, the day my period started I woke up and my heart was racing, lasted for about 5 minutes or so. And if I force myself to stay up I am very fatigued that day. Plus I have been feeling worsening fatigue over the last couple months as well, I feel like my sleep is not refreshing.
Avatar f tn On September 29, 2009 I had a complete hystorectomy with a 10lb adnexal mass removed at MD Anderson. An intestinal type cancer of low malignant potential was found. I am waiting to be sceduled for an MRI & Colonoscopy. After my surgery I was prescribed Effexor for my mood swings and hot flashes. The doctor has continued to increase the dosage up to the highest = 150 mg per day. All it has done for me is turn me into a zombie.

Avatar f tn Help, I feel horny everyday especially when I wake up or about to sleep. Is this normal? I’m a 20 yr old girl, I feel aroused automatically sometimes without trigger and with trigger. I don’t know how to handle this since it has been going on since I was 15. My body gets hot and I feel like coming every time, at most I would get horny 5 times a day.
Avatar f tn Within our subconscious mind we retain a primitive mechanism to both remember stress, and control our ability to sleep. When we are in balance we send the appropriate instruction to our subconscious, and the sleep mechanism simply takes over. However when this balance is disturbed the result is sleeplessness. The mechanism which controls sleep is both "reactive" to our desire to sleep and "responsive" to our body's need for sleep.
Avatar m tn Thanks ginger! I'm not trying to fix anything tho, I'm just trying to support his overall health. Low testosterone is directly related to prostate cancer in us old guys. Its has many physiological benefits. I know from personal experience. Natural testosterone cream reduced my blood sugar, triglyceride and cholesterol levels to a normal range. My depression lifted and my enegry levels increased. When testosterone is converted to DHT and estrogen it can be problematic.
Avatar f tn t do anything to bring your hormones into balance. This will pass with time or you can try to naturally balance your hormones, but if you stay on the Zoloft it can be hard to stop once you're on the antidepressant merry-go-round. I'd try every non-medication option first, including exercise, meditation, dietary changes, and natural hormone balancing formulas.
Avatar f tn Women who have a healthy hormone balance tend to enjoy their lives the most. Hormone fluctuations can result in several problems such as perimenopausal difficulties, premenstrual syndrome, mood swings, fibroids, heart disease, breast cancer, and ovarian cysts. Usually, women don’t completely meet what their bodies need—food and exercise to reduce stress and feel better. Diet, nutrition, and workout are some of the common lifestyle changes that can help women restore hormone balance.
Avatar f tn For vaginal dryness, they do make some products you can buy or just vitamin E or the all purpose coconut oil. Sleep is tricky with menopause. I suffer insomnia. I practice good sleep hygiene and work in extra sleep periods. A nap never hurt anyone. Exercise also helps with irritability. As does sleep. Learning to relax, breath, meditate, do yoga all help keep you calm.
Avatar f tn By nature, birth control works by changing the hormone balance in your body. I believe in most cases it makes your body think you're pregnant so that you won't get pregnant. It's probably this change in hormone balance that's causing this. There are 2 possibilities: it could be that over time your body will adjust & you won't feel so sexually charged. Some women have a drop in their desire when on the pill. The other possibility is you could ask your Dr.
Avatar f tn Because you had a hysterectomy, the usual natural approach is more complex. I'd advise seeing a naturopath. The usual approach would be to use a trial and error approach with the great many herbs and "natural" hormones that are derived from the Mexican Wild Yam that help to balance hormones, but again, since you've had a hysterectomy, you might want to see a naturopath who knows more about what influence that has on the matter.
Avatar m tn For about 9 months now I have been struggling with my balance it started last dec when I was trying to walk across a parking lot and it felt like I was on a moving sidewalk or slippery but it wasn't the feeling as come and gone until July when it changed to feeling like I was trying to walk on a small row boat that was in a river when I close my eyes and try to stand on one foot I start to fall over.
Avatar f tn Since being on synthroid I have been great until december and my new symptom is hand, feet and lip tremors. Is this a sometimes a symptom of thryoid being out of balance. I also have an internal tremor that started at the same time.
Avatar f tn If you did want to still have children, there are things you can do to improve your hormone balance which is usually the number one reason why women have trouble at our age. One very effective thing is acupuncture. It's not cheap but in just a few months can return your hormone balance to where it should be. It can help alleviate the symptoms of perimenopause even if you didn't want to have kids. There are lots of supplements that can help with hormone balance, too.
Avatar f tn I would go see a doctor. They're able to help regulate your period and balance your hormone levels.
