Hormonal acne associated with the jaw

Common Questions and Answers about Hormonal acne associated with the jaw

acne

Avatar f tn I have recently within the past 4 years discovered I have Endometriosis and have concluded that the acne is primarily cause by the crazy hormone levels. I break out mostly on my chin and jaw line. Very seldom on my cheeks and forehead. I've tried every kind of soap and face washing contraption as well as home remedies. Are there any new drugs out there that seem to help with this type of acne? Im so tired of having bad skin.
Avatar n tn Acne vulgaris (commonly called acne) is a skin disease caused by changes in the pilosebaceous units (skin structures consisting of a hair follicle and its associated sebaceous gland). Severe acne is inflammatory, but acne can also manifest in noninflammatory forms. Acne lesions are commonly referred to as pimples, spots, or zits.Exactly why some people get acne and some do not is not fully known. It is known to be partly hereditary.
Avatar f tn I don’t believe this is associated with HCV either; at least it’s not anything I’ve heard of before. If you’re a 32 year old female, hmm… you might ask your primary care doctor about it. Um… hormonal changes might be an issue; you’re partner isn’t using supplemental androgen by chance, is he? Sometimes topical testosterone gel can be responsible for acne. Just a thought.
Avatar n tn I stopped taking the medication and one week later (during my cycle when I usually have mild acne) - I have the worst acne in my life!!! It has to be from the phentermine. I'm going to be seeking out other ways to continue weight loss. Trying to get into a dermetologist because this acne seems to just keep spreading and doesn't seem to be going away.
Avatar n tn Bitter taste could result from infections, inflammations, micronutrient deficiency, medication/ drug/ food item side effect, radiation exposure, hormonal/ endocrine issues, heavy metal poisoning etc. With associated sore jaw this is likely to be infectious/ inflammatory in nature. If there are no other symptoms, you could try taking multi-vitamin supplements for 3-4 weeks. If the symptoms do not improve or aggravate it is advised to consult a primary care physician for appropriate management.
Avatar f tn Hello, The problem of enlarged pores on face or facial pores is commonly associated with excessive oiliness and acne. The excessive oiliness of the skin is in turn triggered by the hormonal changes in the body. Large pores can be easily dealt with proper cleansing and frequent toning and moisturizing of the skin. Other treatments to consider include microdermabrasion, skin resurfacing lasers and chemical skin peels.
Avatar n tn For the past few years I have been dealing with worsened acne and hair growth issues. I seem to have more hair on my cheeks, stomach, back, and even on my arms and legs it grows faster and thicker. It really has been bothering me and plucking would take me all day long and shaving is not an option for anything besides my legs. I hope I get it all taken care of soon! Thanks so much!
Avatar n tn Although Macafem is 100% all natural with no known side effects, since you have a family history of breast cancer, you should consult with your doctor first. Macafem works in an entire different way than synthetic hormone drugs do. This herbal supplement won't increase or decrease any specific hormone, but it will regulate the hormonal system as a whole by stimulating your body's own production of hormones.
20790871 tn?1507161421 I am a healthy 20 year old female. I am a former collegiate long-distance runner; I stopped running competitively a few months ago, but still run and workout regularly. I noticed that shortly after I started college (2 years ago), my hair stopped growing completely. It used to be long and thick, but over the past couple years it has become very thin and damaged and simply doesn't grow. In addition to this, I have also been getting acne on my jaw and neck-which I didn't use to get.
Avatar f tn For acne you the severity and extent of your acne has to be considered here. Acne occurs when the pores of the skin become clogged with oil, dead skin cells, and/or bacteria. Apart from hereditary factors which may cause hyperactive sebaceous glands, certain diets (high in refined sugars and processed foods) and hormonal changes are associated with outbreaks of acne lesions. You may try using OTC bactericidal products containing benzoyl peroxide in mild to moderate acne.
Avatar f tn I broke out horribly the whole time with my first which was a girl and not a single pimple when I was pregnant with my second a boy. This time I broke out for the first 8 weeks and now at 16 weeks it has cleared up totally.
Avatar n tn It is important to clean your face everyday and avoid harsh chemicals. Over-the-counter acne medications may also help. There are plenty of people with the same situation you are in. Relax and do not stress yourself too much. Take care and keep us posted.

Avatar f tn s something that I should be worried about considering my history with acne. Okay so this month, the days leading up to my period specifically, I had a pretty bad breakout along my jawline (I usually never break out in that area aside from that one time last year). Along with that, my sister one day pointed out that I was growing chin hair (just realized i didnt explicitly state that im female lol so there's that)!
Avatar f tn So, I had to fill out a questionaire with a million questions before I see an RE at the end of the month. One of the questions was about acne, and whether I have it or not. What does having acne mean? (I've heard getting acne can be a sign of something, I just can't remember what) Lately, I've been having so many breakouts, and today noticed I had some back acne. Gross! I never had acne before.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
1621269 tn?1327203489 I am 12w 5d and I have developed really bad acne/spots on my chin and around my mouth. I know this is my hormonal area but they are huge, like bubbles which are really hard and sore with no white heads, well not yet anyway. Was wondering if anyone has any remedies or ideas on diet which will help in the future. I know skin problems are normal in pregnancy I'm not worried its just annoying.

Avatar m tn With serious acne I found that I would get these nasty lumps that took forever to reach the surface and erupt. This may be the caae with you. I never found a cure and the condition did not die away until my 50's. Sad news. What did help was not stimulating the skin of my face in anyway. In fact all I did was rinse it in lukewarm water - no soap - no astringents - no facials - no sunbathing. Following that routine I prevented serious flareups.
Avatar f tn However, I have had a different type of back pain for the past month not associated with my previous injuries and I have noticed I have not had regular bowel movements during this time. I have also noticed that my regular pre-menopausal hot flashes have gone away. For most of my adult life I have ALWAYS been extremely hot making my life miserable when most other people are cold, but now I am not experiencing this either.
Avatar m tn it means that you have cysts on your ovaries and /hormonal imbalance and the eggs you produce may be weak and unable to be fetilized. In any event I was given provera tostart AF to start clomid for mature eggs.
