Is there any home remedies that are safe in pregnancy to get rid of a yeast infection? I have already had it twice ans took that one day pill form of it. Just found out its listed as category c so that kind of annoyed me how my dr just acted like it was completely safe. I also really dont want to shoot medicine up there because it just sounds really difficult... any suggestions??
For one, as far as your girlfriend's health and well-being are affected, a yeast infection, while a relatively benign problem, can be uncomfortable. Yeast, most commonly of the candida albicans species, reside naturally in warm, moist areas, like the vagina. When conditions allow, for example, when the body's natural pH balance is upset, yeast can begin to grow profusely, thus causing a yeast infection. It is possible to transfer yeast to a sexual partner.
but recently I got a yeast Infection from the increased amount of discharge due to pregnancy and MY OB/GYN prescribed a medicine that is 3 day regimen and work GREAT, the name is TERCONAZOLE Vaginal Cream. I was also prescribed this 3day regimen medicine for yeast infection for my first pregnancy which was from another OB/GYN. BEST OF LUCK, I HOPE I'M NOT RESPONDING LATE TO YOUR QUESTION. I have this nasty cough that wont let me sleep...
during the time that I was pregnant I DID get yeast infections and you can get them while pregnant however my symptoms were mild compared to the other time I had them and discharge was a whitish clear color. To me it sounds an STI or a possible STD as for home remedies I can name a few using CINNAMON really does help to treat any kind of infection you can buy cinnamon sticks for tea or use the bottled spice mix it with oil and rub the infected area a few times daily.
I began taking Yasmin again in June, when I got my first yeast infection. I tried the home remedies ( tons of garlic, yoghurt and cutting out sugars)...and it still didn't go away so I finally took Monistat 3-day...which didn't clear the infection. I went to see my doctor and he perscribed me three 150mg Diflucan, which I took and finally cleared the infection after two weeks ( I had my period in between).
To help prevent them just try to wear really breathable cotton panties and keep the area as dry as possible. yeast grows quickly in warm moist areas... I looked up some home remedies/preventions for yeast infections and this is what it gave me..and they seem kind of...weird..I don't know if I would use them but hey! lol http://www.ayurvediccure.com/homeremedies_yeast.htm Good luck!
I have this problem, i had this yeast infection for a while and im getting rid of it but only on occasion. It comes back, and it's very irritating because I try everything. my physician tells me its sugar, and hey! i love sugar, but i have been cutting back. I'm also on probiotics and that helps too. but its still coming. Bottom line, I have two questions: 1) is this normal? and 2) (which is my main question) my boyfriend and I are up to our, approximately, fifth or sixth time having sex.
I am glad to know I am not the only person experiencing this, I have been with my boyfriend for four years and every time we have sex I get that burning itching sensation of the yeast infection, and it last for days last time it went on for about 2-3 weeks, I've been to Dr.'s and they basically ignore everything I tell them and give me a pill, and then next time I have sex the yeast infection returns.
One of the most effective remedies for a yeast infection is the use of tea tree oil. You can use the oil in many ways to an effective remedy. First, you can rub a few drops of oil into your vagina using a cotton swab. Do not rinse immediately. Another way to manage the use of tea tree oil is added to your bath water and soak in water for at least 20 minutes. For more info you can check http://www.yeastinfectionheal.
I'm pregnant with my third child and have been having a yeast infection for a month and a half. It's driving me crazy. I tried a generic monistat 3 day treatment and it didn't work. My OB has prescribed me medicine twice already and it hasn't helped too much. My question is, I've been too sore to have sex most days but my husband and I have had sex probably four or five times in the last month and a half. I didn't know I could pass it to him and then he'd give it back to me.
discharge at different times of the months (particularly a week before you period) will change and become irritating for some. This is often mistaken for a yeast infection by the women, and when cultured, comes back normal. I tried switching pills, but I sufferered for years. I even tried depoprovera and got some relief, but that had other side effects. I got fed up and decided to try a non-hormonal method of birth control. It worked!
MORE likely, you might have a yeast infection causing symptoms. Over the counter remedies might provide relief. Good luck!
How I got rid of Fungal Ear infection for good! I had a fungal infection in one ear for a while and after many visits to the GP and lots of ear syringing and different kinds of ear drops i was out of options as nothing was working. My ear was so painful and it's all i could think about. I could bearly hear and my balance was very off. I decided to take matters into my own hands and started using white vinegar.
My first thought was- what the heck is going on- I have this bad sinus infection , on meds for that for 20 days- it never goes away- was told to take celexa- (which I took at the same time as the anti-biotic)- and then started having attacks, tingling in my fingers and toes, and then I am being sent to a pyschologists? for anxiety or panic disorder.??? I really hope you get better and I did go to chiropractor ( I have not been in a few months though)...maybe I should go back for a visit.
ive never had any diseases or even a yeast infection but for the last week i can smell onion down there? What could be wrong?
Didn't test positive for it while I was pregnant. Didn't have the usual symptoms (burning, gross discharge with ordor) too many times. Now ten years later I have had all of these symptoms plus UTI's with Strep B in my urine. I have been on anitbiotics several times and have recurring infections monthly. I don't know what is going on or how to cure it. My doctor to tells me that it is a "normal" bacteria in the vaginal.
WRONG. For 4 weeks I did not weigh myself while I pressed on with my plan (as I can be a bit of a scale watcher). But after 4 weeks of not weighing myself, taking in less carbs, and exercising I knew I was not progressing... could just FEEL the stagnation. Well, I finally DID weigh myself just 4 days ago and durning that 4 week cycle I not only showed zero progress I ACTUALLY GAINED 15 POUNDS!!!!!! That's right - 15 in 4 weeks! I've never gained like this in my life!!
I was away from home for 13 hours yesterday, all over, driving and in a meeting, ferry rides. It got so bad by 6:30 pm I thought I could not make it home off the ferry. I sat by the fire and warmed up, then took a hot shower. I don't feel that great today, but I don't have a fever and I am not sick. I am glad to know I am not the only one with this. I recently had to put my golden retriever down and we just made a major move. Plus, our house now has carpeting which I can not tolerate with dogs.
I went to the doc about 2 months ago for a yearly pap and a yeast infection + an infection of the cervix due to the untreated yeast infection and the doc told me it was frequent to have more problems down there and to feel things we've never felt before there (like I get a sharp pain in my uterus once in a while)
Within days, I felt better than I had felt in years. Then, 2 weeks later, I got pregnant for the first time. My husband and I had been trying for a while. I have a beautiful 8 month old now. Also, I had become intolerant of several foods, such as all dairy, and now I can tolerate these foods again. Just not gluten. And I was totally unaware of the problem before I went gluten free (could not see any connection between how I was feeling and the consumption of gluten).
Sometimes if you dont pee after sex and if there is bacteria, you will form an infection. Burning sensation, hard to pee. Drink cranberry juice and lots of it. Yeast infection will be burning and itchy and have an odor or a discharge. But yes, definately get checked for STDs when you get home. And wear protection with strangers, you never know.
Thanks. I told my mom about it and she gave me all these things for a yeast infection. I'm worried that it's BV, but she looked concerned and wondered how I would get a BV. Like I could only get it from sex or something. :/ Although I know it's not the case. I don't mind being open with a doctor although I'm shy about describing things like my sexual activities. Do you think it would be important to bring it up in a situation like this?
I started to consume more yogurt and used over the counter yeast infection remedies. I am now 8 weeks pregnant and was experiencing severe abdominal cramping, a higher fever, and heavy cottage cheese discharge. That was along with extreme nausea, but with a pregnancy, that is to be expected. Since my obstetrician does not want to see me until I am 10-12 weeks, I went to an urgent care center. I was tested for both chlamydia and gonorrhea.
If you suffer with recurrent bacterial vaginosis, it would be wise to be checked for an infection if you are pregnant or thinking of trying for a baby, even if you have no symptoms. Untreated bacterial vaginosis, may cause problems during pregnancy or even cause a miscarriage. >>> Bacterial vaginosis is the infection of the female reproductive system that results from the overgrowth of bacteria in the vagina.
Nationally, there are at least three different studies beginning for the treatment of genital herpes. First, the Genocea phase one (first in humans) trial. Instead of an oral medication to treat herpes, Genocea out of Boston has taken the approach of stimulating the immune system to respond more robustly to the herpes virus in people who are already infected with the virus.
I am sorry to have to say this, but you really should use a condom as any contact with the vaginal area can cause STD's to spread or for you to get pregnant (he doesn't have to come inside you for it to happen). Go to the chemist and ask for a pessary to treat thrush, use cotton panties only, do not wear tights, do not use soap in that region (you should always use a female hygiene wash as the area is more acidy, while soaps are more alkaline and this can cause infections).
Other times I would have odor. I was told that BV and yeast can both smell so I just thought I had yeast. Mean while I'm eating healthier than ever before on this anti-candida diet because I was just sick and tired of dealing with this (and yes I diagnosed myself after researching signs and symptoms of candida). Long story short, while the symptoms were more tolerable, they never went away. So to the woman who says watch what you eat, thats not always the cure.
Seriously I dont know why it is still sold.. it is really bad for you. Sounds to me like maybe a yeast infection...
My doctors think I'm crazy - saying Group B Strep has no symptoms. I've had it for YEARSSSSSSSSS thinking I had some crazy yeast infection problem that could never be cured. I am no so sure that there is an answer to this problem - but it's just nice to know that I'm not alone.
