Avatar m tn Can you get symptoms after 5 days following HIV expsoure and infection?
Avatar f tn Symptoms may occur from 2 to 4 weeks from the day if exposure
Avatar f tn m terrified I might have early hiv seroconversion. Sore throat after 3 days gone after 5 days. Lymph nodes swollen after 3 days and still swollen. Taken temp and no sign of fever. Throat no longer sore but a bit raw. Could this be hiv. I read most sites that it takes 2 to 4 weeks before seeing symptoms. Please advise as I'm going out of my head with worry. Thank you.
1362800 tn?1277747043 please read the forum...it is full of posts regarding unprotected oral sex. here are a few quotes from the hiv specialists here at medhelp: There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex. The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way. Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk".
Avatar m tn //www.aafp.org/afp/1999/0801/p535.html#afp19990801p535-b3 But you mentioned that my symptoms are too early to be ARS. But the above article, as well as a few others are saying that it is 7-14 days that symptoms can emerge. I suppose at this point I should just get tested to ease my mind. I appreciate your confidence. When should I get tested? Within the next month?
Avatar m tn I'm new on forum,I had protected anal sex with chinese prostitute,(not sure condom was broken or not).I don't now her HIV status.I was tested 85 days after exposure negative.I had fever like 2 weeks after exspour enot more than 100F just during a day,in the evening and during a night i had 98.6.I experienced soar troat for about two days and dry cough.I still have dry cough specialy early in the morning but not even close like before.
Avatar m tn 4 days after 'exposure' to HIV is it possible to show symptoms? I have had a nonstop headache, nausea, and been generally feeling flu ill like symptoms but no cold, runny nose or the like.
Avatar n tn I just am wondering if headache (which I normally never get) and minor sore throat could be symptoms of an HIV infection less than 48 hours after potential exposure. I just had my final exams and did not sleep very much the last few days, so I am hoping this is just some viral infection which got a hold of me because of fatigue. Can you advise on how likely it is to develop these symptoms after only 2 days? Thank you!
Avatar m tn Hello, this is my story : Im 20 years old man.13days ago because of my stupidness I've had unsafe oral sex with escort girl in Turkey (on vacation),she gave me it. I was so stressed about it for several days. I've read some possible HIV symptoms on net and so on. After 6 days i've started to feel some fever and all day weakness. after 9 days i've noticed that i have a whitened tongue. after 10 days my knees joints started to hurt.
Avatar m tn hi sir i am from india i had high risk exposure with sex worker, my hiv elisa test negative after 3 months and now 5 months and 16 days after negative also, but my docter said u have to wait 15 days more why, is hiv window period 3 months ,6 or 1 year help me sir i am soo confused
Avatar m tn I asked her about any other intercourse and obv she said no. And after how many minimum days does it take to get accurate results of hiv(taken through blood sample).
Avatar n tn t think this is HIV and HIV does not show symptoms in 3 days. Actually i am a little bit relieved but still I am feeling very bad. He said cold may cause whiteness on the tongue but aren't the first symptoms of HIV look like cold. Also he gave me some medicine for cold, if these works does it mean that it is really cold. I don't know how to wait for three months to pass. p.s. thanks for the quick response.
Avatar m tn The last test I have done was a fourth generation test at 92 days after exposure. The result was negative. However, recently I have some symptoms such as watery diarrhea and headache. May I consider them as a sigh of hiv infection and do I need test in the future? I do not have drug and cancel treatment before. Thank you guys, please give me some suggestions.
Avatar n tn Jay i think the 8 week window is not conclusive the 8 week window gives you an 80 percent probability that you dont have HIV. I think you should re-test 4 weeks after. I think its always a good idea to re-test even after it is conclusive. Why because it shows you are concerned and that equals safe sex.
