um I was with my bf for like a year anyways he left me about a month ago he just left didnt tell me he was leaving I think he may have hiv or aids and has infected me ive been feeling sick for a while off and on but I have not been tested in about a year anyways ive got this rly bad cough and sometimes I feel like its hard to breathe it been like tht for a couple weeks now I dont have insurance and ive been too much of a coward to go to the hospital because im by myself I cnt tell my family...

HIV can't survive outside the body. Therefore you were at no risk from infection from toilet paper.
The appearance was brown and white patches all over her body. From my half-informed Google education I would guess it was an aids related condition. I politely asked her that but she said no.
So my questions are as follows...
1. I correctly used a condom so I'm not at risk right?
2. Does that skin condition sound aids related?

This probably is a good example of reading lists of HIV/AIDS manifestations without understanding of context. Sure, some people with HIV have low lymphocyte counts, especially in advance AIDS (but not generally with recently acquired infection). However, there are hundreds of causes of low lymphocyte counts; and normal variation means that most healthy people from time to time have levels below the usual normal numbers.
Dear doctor, Can HIV antibody be detected in last stage of AIDS patient by elisa test.One of my relative had several exposure in 9 years ago with prostitude when he was in a UN mission in africa. Some web site for example google books says antibody can not be detected at advanced stage of infection. Is it right.........He is suffering from some infection for months........His elisa test is negative.........please answer.....
You do not nor did you ever have a risk for HIV. As the above poster said, and I agree, protect your health. If you are going to be sexually active, especially with more than one partner, please get yourself educated about HIV and STDs so you can protect not only yourself, but your partner(s) as well.
One of the best ways to get educated about HIV is to go to our HIV Prevention Forum and just read and keep reading until you GET IT. And I promise you will.
