Avatar n tn Thank you for your comment. What I left out in Bandits medical hx is that he did have a urinary problem. One morning he jumped up in bed and urinated on the blanket with a painful look on his face for a very long time, and the urine looked bloody. We took him the vet right away (of course it was Sunday and required an emergency visit) and xrays revealed a bladder crystal. I think he was given an injection and put on antibiotics, and was given the SO to dissolve the crystal.

951946 tn?1263565383 Well, we had our 20w ultrasound this morning, and it was free & clear of any causes for concern, so we're quite happy! Our odds of trisomy 18 were 1:100,000! Our odds of Downs are now 1:2250 or .044, which is a 99.955% chance that he's perfectly fine. We are both leaning towards skipping amnio and assuming he's fine. (The risk of miscarrying from having amnio is somewhere between 1:300 and 1:750 for this particular clinic.
Avatar n tn My other thought is that it could be caused by a fungus, not necessarily a mold-allergy, but just irritation from the mold or fungus. Is there a lot of industrial pollution in the area? It could be air pollutants that your body isn't used to.
290867 tn?1333569278 If the dose is high enough, you should see a completely different baby in about two weeks!!! What dose did they put him on, by the way? The other thing I remember about prevacid is sometimes it's best to split the dose 2x a day (how many times per day are you supposed to give it?) If you do split it, give him one dose in the morning and one before bed. Some moms give the "larger" part of the dose at night to help their little one be more comfortable through the night.
Avatar f tn I would try keeping him out of the grass. At the very least bathe him immediately when he comes in from playing out side. Also, an antihistamine miht be very helpful. It could be an allergic reaction to the grass, but it could also be a chemical on the grass. I hope that helps you some. Take care and have a blessed New Year.
Avatar m tn If the dog sleeps on something and I move the towel or something he was sleeping on the allergy response is severe. I can also with my allergy detect a smell from the dog that is as strong as some over powering perfumes. If I take enough antihistamine I don't smell this smell nearly as much until it starts to wear off. After bathing the dog and a air out and vacuuming my allergies get better. Going near the dog does not set off my allergies until the next day after a bath.
210400 tn?1325380570 t come into play in that theory because he realizes that he has more power, but your son is the new comer . When your son is not in his bed cover it with aluminum foil, double sided tape, or saran wrap.. yes I know it will be a pain, but maybe if you can keep him out of the bed long enough for him to get used to your son's smell, he will not try to mark it. But in the end if nothing works I believe your are right, about finding him a new home, probably one without boys/males.
683609 tn?1226764977 There is no accurate skin or blood test for food allergy; the test and the treatment are the strict hypoallergenic diet trial for 6-8 weeks with no other treats or foods.
Avatar m tn Yes, but he did not use the term “Tin Hatter.” He said, “wearing a Tin Foil Hat”. “A tin foil hat is a hat made from one or more sheets of aluminum foil, or a piece of conventional headgear lined with foil, worn in the belief it shields the brain from threats such as electromagnetic fields, mind control, and mind reading. The notion of wearing homemade headgear for protection has become a popular stereotype and byword for paranoia, persecutory delusions, and belief in conspiracy theories.
987762 tn?1671273328 Its not helping him but enabling him, when everyone is bailing him out of trouble and when the dust settles, accept his words and promises so he can start the process all over again. Yes he needs help but there is no drug treatment program, nothing but seeing the same pschiatrist every week and there never will be help for this young man until he is honest and ready to get help for himself and not for the short time he thinks he has to, for everyone to believe he's fine now.
Avatar n tn I think the first lump appeared after he shook his head and hit the side of the table. He also had many deerfly bites from the summer that made him scratch his ears. But if I was to do some test, what would I ask the vet to be looking for? How can you detect allergies or secondary ear infections? Thank you for your help!

Avatar f tn The last couple days my almost 2 yr old has been playing with an old pickup sticks game. He keeps dumping the sticks out and than putting them back in the tin. Well today he decides to dump them on my belly while saying "catch brother" than he started giggling. He has also been pointing at my belly saying "brother toys" and "choo choo" one day I told him look your brothers playing and every since than he has decided his brother is playing with a toy train.
Avatar n tn I agree with Agiesmom, it's all in the personality that boys have that determines the extent of passive or aggressive behavior. I don't have regular TV programming, so we just watch movies and no TV, and therefore my 3½ year old son only gets to watch what I approve.
612551 tn?1450022175 Thanks Karla, from you the word are especially meaningful. Wow, his little table with food and water dish is right at a forced air outlet. We have a geothermal heat pump so it runs a lot (high efficiency but low BTU output). I'll move it and will see how he reacts. The good news, forgetting about the cost, I just replaced the HP, my 21 year old geothermal had reached a point that key parts are no longer available - so I upgraded to the latest model.
Avatar m tn s from lack of oxygen through the respiratory system.....Steroids are useful as needed for allergy season that can be a trigger.....Dust mites in the house affect this alot (Especially in the winter when the heat is on and the house is closed up tight).......It seems they breath better outside.....Something else: Dust Mites in DRY dog food alone can trigger this.....This disease can be controlled for years once you know what to do.....
189372 tn?1219833358 It is important to know your allergy triggers to prevent your symptoms from happening. House dust that can cause allergic reaction include molds, pet and human dander, cockroach waste and the dust mite. To know if house dust is really the culprit, an allergy skin test may be recommended. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar m tn It started with a pink lower lip and it was swollen. The inside of his top right cheek was very swollen with little ulcers on the inside but the swelling has gone down since then. There are still scabs along the top rim of the lip. However There are new sores and scabs in the left corner of his mouth. We feed him dry food (either kite kat or go cat) because we believe it prevents smelly breath and keeps his teeth from falling out. His breath stinks now though because of this thing.
Avatar n tn I work with a student with outdoor allergies. I see a big difference in him when he is on his allergy meds. He takes Claratin.
Avatar f tn Plus, with regular use of something like baking soda, you want to stay away from the aluminum, as it is actually considered to be a heavy metal to your body and is attributed to things like Alzheimers.
Avatar m tn Thank you for your help, i'll make sure I see one and get the allergy test.
Avatar f tn when he wants something from me like sex i would just remind him of the night before and ask him if he deserved it.... lol..... it worked..... he would have to spoil me to get what he wanted..... it still happens now with my second pregnancy but i have my son to cuddle up with at night so its not that bad...... hes two and when his daddy comes to bed he goes to sleep in his own bed..... lol.....
Avatar f tn The tech gave my belly a few shakes to try and keep him up and get him to roll back over to get a pallete picture but he kept squishing his face harder against the placenta and curling up tigher. Guess he loves his sleep just as much as his mama!
