Avatar f tn Every 2 hours I eat something. I have to eat small meals. With my first one I was working full time and I had to bring a shopping bag of food to work with me daily! The girls laughed at my stash at the office. I try to eat an egg or two every day and keep the protein up. Also tons of fruits/veggies daily. TG I'm not craving bacon this time. That was a stinky craving last time.
Avatar f tn I too am loosing weight...I have no appetite but I am making myself eat and eating almost non stop but still have lost 10# (I'm 11wks)...try protein bars and protein shakes...and fruits and veggies. Good luck, hopefully you start gaining weight soon.

Avatar f tn Eat regular small sized meals / snacks (every 3 - 4 hours). Snacks/meals should always contain protein and healthy fats - carbs mostly from vegetables, nuts, unsweetened dairy. Thisdm should help keep your blood sugar stable. Are you on any medications? Have you had any testing by your Dr? Do you monitor blood sugar after eating? When are you seeing these lower numbers?
Avatar f tn i had my sugar tested right after lunch b/c i was still dizzy and the lady said Have you had anything to eat? i said yes i eat more then most people every two hours. i have 3 meals and about 4 snacks. granola, nuts and peanut butter are my biggest snacks.
Avatar f tn Always make sure you eat some protein with each snack, as that keeps you feeling fuller and helps build muscles. You could have an apple with some peanut butter; you could have a protein shake, made with any kind of fruit. Yogurt makes an excellent snack, celery with cheese or peanut butter (make sure you keep the peanut butter servings in check, though because it does have a lot of fat). Cut up veggies with hummus are good.
568875 tn?1424397205 i cant seem to find really anything on google, so i was wondering if any of u ladies have this swelling problem and were put on this diet what did u do for snacks and meals...or if anyone just has any ideas i would greatly appreciate it. i just feel guilty ive gained about 60 lbs and my doc said a lot of that is swelling and that i was small framed to begin with..i need to start walking and try not to gain more weight..she said the diet would help...once again any ideas is greatly appreciated!
Avatar f tn i am losing the battle against calorie intake. I know you're not supposed to go over 2,200 calories per day..... but how? Every once in a while I go over and I'll feel super guilty. I do protein shakes, protein bars, healthy snacks and no meals and extra water. I don't regularly give in to cravings either. It is hard when all I can think about is my next snack. What do you do to stay under 2,200? Any recommendations to ease the pain of the calorie count?

Avatar f tn If you don't think you're gaining enough you should try a supplement shake or drink....boost, enfimil or even carnation instant breakfast....they are all descent tasting and have many many flavors to choose from.

1972507 tn?1325891180 re eating throughout the day- not just 3 meals, but snacks as well. These added snacks can give you more calories and fuel between meals. There are also some medical issues that need to be ruled out. For example diabetes type I and Hyperthyroidism can both cause massive amounts of weight loss and difficulty gaining weight. I'm sure there are others that can cause similar problems. I'm not saying there is something medically wrong with you, but it does need to be ruled out.

I am to check my blood sugar 4 times a day, and it should stay between 60-90 in the morning and 90-120 all day. Well when I got my test results in the first place, i had just BARELY failed them by about 5-10 points or less. So, I started off eating exactly as she told me to, and found that my blood sugar was always low. usually under 80 all day, and just above 60 in the morning.
Avatar m tn Doc said it was stress but when I hired a Nutritionist she found that my meals and snacks were low in Protein and high in Carbs. It was only when I started having a high Protein diet that my stress levels dropped and the shakiness has subsided. Eating protein rich foods such as eggs, meat, fish, milk, cheece, yogurt, nuts, pulses and legemes will help u feel more stable.

In fact I had my 38w appointment today and I have lost 4 pounds since my last appointment. My ob doesn't say anything about my weight unless I pack on the pound. All my lab work has been fine but I eat alot of red meat or try too for the iron.
Avatar f tn they are meant to replace meals so they have lots of protein and other nutrients. it helps me make it from lunch to dinner and then often I eat less at dinner because I'm still full!

How do tall manage to get some snacks in or do you eat just 2-3 big meals? I'm obsessed with washing my hands due to money handling and equipment (returns), I do however sometimes take fruit like watermelon and melon to snack on and eat with a fork instead...any suggestions?
Avatar f tn t have more than 1-2 servings of fruit in a day. Try to eat higher protein foods as protein suppresses hunger and lasts longer. Try getting a protein powder and make a protein shake about 45 min before lunch and dinner to help curb your hunger. Last thing you want to do is starve your body, all that will do is cause your body to hold onto calories and also create other health issues and bad habits.
