Avatar f tn I was on the high end of average to the low end of overweight when I got pregnant. Probably because the only exercise I get is chasing my children around and cleaning house. I want so bad to not necessarily go on a diet, but to cut back on what I eat to be healthier. Problem is...I literally feel hungry all the time, if not shortly after I eat. I drink primarily water, only the occasional 7-up when I need a change but its only 1.
Avatar f tn What meats and other foods can I not eat? What foods are the best for me to eat?

Avatar f tn The sense of smell changes for some people on tx and he may be having an issue with the foods he attempts to eat, they just don't smell the same anymore. Try somethings that are served cold and not hot or warm, like chicken and tuna salads served on crackers or bread, raw veggies not cooked, cold hard boiled eggs not fried, cold pizza, salads and anything else you can think of that's not always cooked.
5787494 tn?1387148684 Chicken is healthy and full of protein, I normally have chicken pastas, salads etc as it fills you up but is full of good stuff :) I have tried looking up things to eat when pregnant but in all honesty most of the food I ate previously I can still eat now.
452571 tn?1311156476 Fish is great to eat during pregnancy in moderation. Big fish like shark or Albacore tuna should be limited to a minimum but small fish in general and seafood is great to eat once or twice a week. Vitamin A is not good for you in an artificial form but eating it in foods that have natural vitamin A is fine. You would have to eat pounds of Spinach every day to have a bad effect on you.
401095 tn?1351391770 Foods That Increase Your Dopamine And Norepinephrine Naturally! What we eat affects the formation of neurotransmitters, and some diet-related neurotransmitters have a significant affect on our mood, our appetite and our cravings. This in turn causes the brain to communicate in the form of an impulse (craving for certain foods) the need for certain neurotransmitters that it requires to restore balance.
10025015 tn?1422498264 It drives me insane!!! I read on here a week or so ago about not being allowed to eat ice cream?! Seriously....if I ate it before I got pregnant I'm still going to while being pregnant! All I ate with my first pregnancy was cold turkey sub's from my fave store,me and my daughter were perfectly fine!! If I want to eat uncooked cookie dough I'm doing it. Tried of ppl making such a big deal out of it and turning it into "you must not care about your child" argument.
Avatar n tn What are the right foods and vitamins to consume while trying to lose weight? I am 23 and 5ft 2in at 138lb. I am working on becoming more lean and healthy overall but now live in Asia where most veggies are cooked in oil. I would like to know more about what foods make you feel less hungry, what amounts of protein and carbohydrates are really needed, and what vitamins are best to take while on a diet. Also, what do you know about vitamin E10? It sounds a little crazy and unnatural to me.
Avatar f tn Common high-protein foods contain a lot of minerals and vitamins you need, while protein powder does not. It also does not contain fiber, so it may make you constipated.
5864651 tn?1396931970 No, it's important to eat healthy foods while pregnant. Babies don't need all that sugary stuff and you really don't need a lot of extra calories. Just make sure you don't deprive yourself and know that no matter how healthily you eat you WILL gain weight. I was 100 lbs pre-pregnancy and have gained 40 lbs and I eat healthy , but it's all baby and fluid retention. Don't worry about it too much and know it'll come off once baby is here.
4776875 tn?1359048764 I eat breakfast then still feel sluggish. I need something high in protein, but not packed with meat. I eat a little big of chicken but that's eat. I really need some protein to get going. What are you favorite sources of protein?

1161604 tn?1388875598 I had a very similar situation as i was overweight when i became pregnant as well. You actually dont need to eat extra calories to maintain a healthy pregnancy especially if u were overweight when u became pregnAnt. My doctor told me i only needed to gain 15-20 lbs my whole pregnancy and that is mostly baby, placenta and fluid. As long as u are eating healthy and not skipping meals u should be fine.
Avatar f tn Your calorie intake should come from foods that are healthy for you. The weight gaining diet should include high protein foods, high carbohydrate foods and healthy fats. Include these in your diet. Example of weight gain diet Breakfast: Banana and milk or banana shake or smoothie, whole-grain toast, fruits, granola, nuts. Eat more fruit and drink less juice. Do not give milk mixed with ghee to your child. It is not healthy.
360318 tn?1340393363 re mixing in hot water, grains are not high in protein. They do contain some, but not much. Legumes are high in protein and animal foods are high in protein, but not grains. A breakfast burrito, however, contains fat from cheese, fat from eggs, and a lot of fat from being fried -- this is one of the fattiest foods you can eat. I love a good burrito, but just realize it is a very fatty food, so it will obviously make you feel much more full than oatmeal.
973741 tn?1342342773 Is it about portion control or what we eat? A list of things to make and eat would be really helpful for us simpletons who have to work at making food decisions and don't want to spend too much time doing it.
