Avatar n tn You might consider taking lysine supplements and avoiding foods high in arginine as soon as initial symptoms appear. These foods include nuts and nut butters, seeds, chocolate, carob, coconut, raisins, gelatin, whole grains, lentils, soybeans, spinach, watercress and seaweed. Some foods, such as meat and dairy products, also contain arginine but have higher amounts of lysine, so those are acceptable. That's from my info.

Avatar n tn s not my decision to make, only to note that all of the most severe diseases we all are trying to avoid are less probably if you eat foods high in antioxidants, which eliminates protein foods from the category of protection of bodily processes. It can make you look pretty good for a time, I don't disagree, I just take the view that, if you're going to have to go to another diet for the long-term anyway, why bother with the short-term at all?

That puts a great many "health" and low fat foods off my list and diabetic staples like eggs are a fond memory. Avatar f tn So I have taken 5 rounds of clomid with each round preceded by prometrium to induce af. on my last cycle af never came, apparently my lining was too thin to have af. my doc wanted to put me on bc for a month to build up my lining but I can't take birth control (the high estrogen makes me grow precancerous lumps in my breasts). So she put me on flaxseed oil, she said it is a plant estrogen which might help with my lining. Has anyone done this?? Did it work?
Avatar f tn You can find out what percentage of protein is in the food that you are feeding and ask your vet if it is adequate or too high. Dogs are omnivores and do not need primarily meat diets and these high protein diets. I don't know that numbers off the top of my head, but you can probably find it online somewhere.

Avatar n tn First as a T2 you need to have an excellent diet using foods with a low Glycemic Index. Use alternative for protein like frozen or canned soybeans. Minimize your animal protein intake to 10% or lower. Eat a variety of fruits and vegetables everyday. Twice daily have a high fiber cereal like ALLBran Buds with soy or rice milk. Consume very little Alcohol and start an exercise program that starts to get those pounds off.

It's expensive and full of crap! This is NOT what she needs....But again, a tad bit better than what she's eating now!
