All animal food is high in protein, with fish being high in fat but good fat. You have a lot of choices. It's not the amount of fat that's important, since most protein foods contain fat, it's the kind of fat and the variety in the diet -- eating a lot of vegetables, for example, provides the antioxidants that help prevent fat from being a problem.

1713150 tn?1314467342 What exactly did your neuro tell you other than yours were high? Like in too high or just on the high side? He is going to be performing more blood tests on you? Not sure where you heard MS's don't need carbs. We all need carbs. Carbs are even in veggies. It is best to stay away from processed foods and probably for your waistline to stay away from too many complex carbs but carbs in general aren't bad. Maybe someone else can add to the blood protein question you had.
Avatar f tn I typically run high protein and have perfect uneventful pregnancies otherwise. (Just delivered Thurs). There can be many factors, but for me it was just my diet. In general I am a big meat, bean, all around protein eater and my body stores it longer, or digests it slower. So they will just watch and make sure it isnt something else causing it and if it levels out they'll make sure it isnt causing any other issues.
Avatar f tn I've decided to try to handle my acid reflux by eating more easy to digest foods, staying off fried foods and adding lots more green vegetables and celery to my diet to alkalize my body (as well as taking Aciphex). I usually have yogurt and a green drink in the morning. I added whey protein to the mix today and now my heartburn is back. Whey is supposed to be super easy to digest. Has anyone else had problems with whey protein?
