Common Questions and Answers about High protein eating plan

protein

Avatar f tn This implies that you will feel full more aside from the way that protein makes you feel full quicker. Make sure, high protein eating plan just conveys extensive weight reduction results when the consumption of carbs is limited. Begin slowly by expending less sugary nourishment and refreshments like doughnuts, chips, baked goods, pop and sweetened apples and oranges juice.
Avatar f tn That's an awful lot of protein... my doctor has me on a high protein diet, 108 grams/day and most days I can't make that, even with a couple of shakes. Are shakes and water all you plan to consume? If so, that's not good or sustainable. In addition, weight lost too and not in a healthy manner will most likely be regained as soon as you start eating normally again, even if maintaining a healthy diet.
Avatar m tn For weeks I had really bad chronic abdominal pain on my right side. I couldn't laugh it hurt so bad. Then I had a MRI they said they saw stool. Now I went to the plasma center my protein levels were high so I couldn't give blood. They say my protein was high because fatty foods. Is this reason I feel tired and don't have regular periods, breast milk dried?
Avatar f tn Do an Internet search for high protein vegetarian meals. I couldn't eat meat for awhile and found some really yummy options, like cheese lasagna or a bean and cheese quesadilla. Quinoa is also a really high protein grain.
Avatar f tn I want to loose around 40/50 pounds, so i have decided to try the 1200 calorie eating plan with as much exercise as I can with a young baby! This is a lifestyle change so there's no rush to my main target but i would like to see a good change in around 4 months, how much loss should I be looking to aim for in this amount of time and any other tips would be great on staying motivated!!

Avatar m tn Doc said it was stress but when I hired a Nutritionist she found that my meals and snacks were low in Protein and high in Carbs. It was only when I started having a high Protein diet that my stress levels dropped and the shakiness has subsided. Eating protein rich foods such as eggs, meat, fish, milk, cheece, yogurt, nuts, pulses and legemes will help u feel more stable.
Avatar f tn Make sure you eat protein with every meal/snack because protein fills you up and keeps you fuller longer. Protein can be a meat, eggs, fish, nuts/nut butter, etc. Also, don't forget to eat some healthy fat every day. Fat helps you feel satisfied, so you aren't looking for food between meals. Eating whole fruit instead of juice is best because fruit has the added benefit of the fiber and extra vitamins/minerals that you don't get in juice.

Avatar f tn After cardio, you want to wait 45-60 minutes, and then consume a high-quality protein (whole food) and vegetable-type carbohydrate. (An example would be a spinach salad and some chicken, or high quality whey protein. After a resistance workout (muscle-building day), the ideal time to consume your post-workout meal is 15-30 minutes after finishing your session, in order to help repair your damaged muscles.
Avatar f tn Just been to see midwife have protein plus in my urine but no high blood pressure anyone else had this thanks
Avatar f tn If you follow the plan which you mentioned, its definitely calorie deficit plan, but I am sure the calories will be less than Your BMR, and its not good to go less than it. You should be eating around your BMR and less than TEE for weight loss. I would suggest you to http://getsetgo.fitness/#/public/diet/ visit this page and check your BMR and look for few simple diet plans and this is surely gona change your life style. I could do it by following flexible dieting and hope even you can.
Avatar n tn Sounds like you may be eating low carb and high protein, which is a mistake and can cause a surge of blood sugar via a process called gluconeogenesis.. This is a process of your body creating sugar from the protein you ingest. It happens when you eat very high protein with little fat and low carb. Try to not go over 1 gram protein per pound of lean body mass. For example, a person who weighs 150 lbs should limit to 150 grams protein per day.
Avatar f tn You are very lucky that your child loves soup. Soups can be very nutritious, for example a hardy bean soup is high in iron and protein. Try adding lots of vegetables to his soups to increase his vegetable consummation even if it is just carrot sticks or chucky tomato sauce. Try different types of fish or shell fish to see if he will accept them. If he is eating lean cuts of meats, bean soups, and is active, he will be fine. He will be getting protein from dairy sources too.
535822 tn?1443976780 Thank you for your input I was wondering what a days diet would be , I have got a good book and am reading up, I think I have been eating too many carbs and not enough protein. Avatar f tn They have meals put there for vegetarians that are high in protein. Many people and doctors do not know about these things because they don't do research or think being vegetarian is bad. When I told my doctor about them he was shocked. Walmart and Kroger both have sections for people like us. Morning star is a great brand. They have burgers, breakfast items, porkless bbq, chicken patties, etc.. all are made out of 100% veggie protein and many have more protein in them than meat.
Avatar n tn I know lots of people who have been brainwashed that they cannot eat fat, and they end up eating ultra high protein. But, their blood sugar is a huge problem, going high and low, and they hit the wall during parts of the day where they need to drink tons of coffee to stay awake and they get raging hunger. In fact, I used to be brainwashed about the fat phobia too. When I took the leap and tested LCHF way of eating, I was remarkably impressed with the results.
Avatar f tn Soy products have a lot of Protein in them. Also when I was Pregnant last time I was always eating those Protein bars...you can get them 10 for $10 and their low in sugar and fat and they come in delicious flavors! You can also find Cottage Cheese with lots of Protein in it these days...Oh and I don't know if you've seen them but Special K makes these single serving drink packets (like the Crystal Light ones) that you just put in a water bottle and drink and they make them with PROTEIN..
Avatar m tn I have a book that may help you. It's been helping me a lot. The Metabolic Typing Diet by Wolcott. You can get it on Amazon. I too experience a racing heart after I eat a meal too high in carbohydrates, with not enough fat & protein. I've discovered I'm a Protein Metabolic type. I was experiencing lots of low energy and mood swings, had a hard time keeping the weight on, but had odd pockets of fat around the middle.
Avatar f tn The way I won the battle was to eat in a way that does not make my blood sugar spike, and which would also keep my insulin secretion controlled as well. The eating plan us calked LCHF, which is low fat, moderate protein and high fat. And there are no gimmicks, pills, powders, bars, etc...just real food. Best part is that no calorie counting, eat until full. Also, it canceled my cravings and I no longer snack anymore.
2066536 tn?1354241604 I would recommend drinking protein type shakes or eating bars. There are a lot our there that are healthy and pack a high amount of calories into a smaller amount of food which makes it easier to meet your calorie needs. If you are high risk then the Dr. should be explaining why you are high risk and what they want you doing. So if you are high risk because they are worried about you not gaining weight then I would assume there was not anything else they were concerned about.
Avatar m tn Dukan diet check that it worked for me :)
Avatar f tn Ok I'm 22 years old, I'm 63 inches tall and I am 94 lbs and I can not seem to be gaining any weight. I'm drinking my husband's protein drinks with whole milk in the morning, I am eating crackers with peanut butter on them, I eat so much food....and I can't seem to get past 94 lbs :0( any suggestions?
Avatar f tn You can find out what percentage of protein is in the food that you are feeding and ask your vet if it is adequate or too high. Dogs are omnivores and do not need primarily meat diets and these high protein diets. I don't know that numbers off the top of my head, but you can probably find it online somewhere.
