protein

Avatar f tn Good question!
Avatar n tn Threwout the school yaer, i would eat large ammounts of cheese, and penut butter, for my protein sources, but thats very high fat, and i gained a large amount of weight. For the past few months, ive been eating more eggs, but, im still having trouble with what to eat when im going away. If im planning on going away for the day, or im not gonna be home, finding somethign i can bring to eat can turn to be quite troublesome.
Avatar n tn Try more Fiber. Fiber bars is what I use. Have a fiber cereal and or bar and eat a piece of fruit. Stay away from high carbs, they will make hunger return quicker. And allow the fiber you eat a chance to swell in stomach... Protein is another thing. Like a shake with your fiber bar. Just a suggestion. Hope it helps.
Avatar f tn re in a hurry try a tablespoon of peanut butter true it has some fat and protein but it will work I also have pure protein bars or quest bars when I need a high-protein quick breakfast
Avatar n tn t just opt out from a healthy diet and eat a single food source like a protein bar or something. Balance, variety, lots of color, home-cooked, not processed and packaged.
Avatar m tn When doing my two and a half hour fast walk, I eat a Macro bar -- not as high in protein and not as hefty, but the protein comes from food rather than whey protein concentrate and it's sweetened with brown rice syrup, which is a complex sugar and breaks down much more slowly than simple sugars.
Avatar f tn Lie on a bench press machine and grip the bar at wider than shoulder-width. Take the weight of the bar, and slowly lower it to about 3 inches above the chest. Feel the tension in your chest muscles, and then quickly power the bar back up to full extension. Barbell squat is one of the best muscle-gaining exercises. Take the weight of the bar on the back of your shoulders. Squat in a slow and controlled motion.
Avatar m tn A high sugar meal after working out, or even a recovery drink (containing high sugar) after working out, will stop the benefits of exercise induced HGH. You can work out for hours, then eat a high sugar candy bar or have a high sugar energy drink, and this will shut down the synergistic benefits of HGH. If you miss reaching HGH release during working out, you will still receive the calorie burning benefit from the workout.
Avatar n tn GG!!! I cannot wait to try this recipe !!
3129624 tn?1366029908 Start taking the vitamins now. It will help get your body/brain ready. Hold back on the tryosine (spell??). It helps with energy, but might cause anxiety. If you want to try it..try 1/2 of it at first to see how you respond. Start eating well as you taper. You will probably not want to eat much the further you get into the taper..tummy problems...so get some good foods in you now. Bananas, fruit, watermelon (hydration), protein.
Avatar f tn You could try making them now and start to decrease the amount of carbs in your diet. Instead of the candy bar, you could try a snack high in protein which will not cause your blood sugar to spike and then drop. Some snacks that are high in protein are hummus, peanut butter, you can dip veggies or fruit. There are also protein bars which are quick and easy like a candy bar. However, be careful with these, many are so loaded with sugar they are candy bars in disguise. I hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Anyone have a good recipe for a smoothie that is high in protein but does not use protein powders and milk?
Avatar f tn Fresh fruit smoothies with added protein powder provide a high-energy and high-protein breakfast option. The sugar supplied by the real fruit is a natural carbohydrate. Blend the smoothie with fruit juice, sherbet or frozen yogurt for flavor. Try a whole wheat pita or tortilla stuffed with scrambled eggs and cheese for a quick and healthy option. A bowl of oatmeal topped with blueberries or a side of dried cranberries offers protein and carbohydrates.
7540649 tn?1395719596 My midwife told me I need to get 100 grams of protein a day! I don't normally get anywhere near that much. Normally I don't eat meat every day, so I would be lucky to get 20 grams... I can't eat peanuts, beans, soy, or pork. Eggs make me throw up right now (I used to really like them). Any ideas for how I can get closer to 100 grams of protein in a day? I'm making an effort to eat meat more, but I'm not that used to it and it isn't sitting well.
Avatar f tn I've been eating a lot of high protein foods but still I need more lol. I'm an eating machine just now haha! Trying to keep a good balance between healthy foods and naughty (and strange) cravings!
Avatar n tn Make sure you have some protein (cheese, protein bar, egg, meat, nuts) every couple of hours. I carry nuts and protein bars in my purse.
Avatar f tn I typically run high protein and have perfect uneventful pregnancies otherwise. (Just delivered Thurs). There can be many factors, but for me it was just my diet. In general I am a big meat, bean, all around protein eater and my body stores it longer, or digests it slower. So they will just watch and make sure it isnt something else causing it and if it levels out they'll make sure it isnt causing any other issues.
Avatar f tn Replace two meals a day with a high-protein meal-replacement product such as a protein smoothie or protein bar. Forty pounds in two months is too much weight to lose safely. Using a low-carb diet such as Atkin's you can lose 5-8# monthly pretty easily.
Avatar n tn My numbers are high when I check them right after getting up in the morning. Usually around 6:30am. Does anyone have any advise to bring these numbers down an it?
