Avatar f tn I was about to start my fourth month of clomid tonight but just got my blood test results back. The nurse told me that my estrogen levels are a bit too high and that I should NOT take my clomid this month. Today is my cd 5 and my estrogen level is 162. Can anyone help me to understand what this means and why can I not do clomid this cycle? I am trying to conceive my first child and am very confused.
Avatar n tn I also do not have ovaries but I take estrogen. When my estrogen level gets rather high, my FSH is low (in the range of a menstruating woman). When my estrogen is on the lower side, my FSH rises.
Avatar n tn hello ladies, i just had my day 3 labs done ,and come to find out that my estrogen levels are extremly low, lt was 16. my obgyn told me not to worry about this and we would try clomid. ( which i know i dont have problems ovulating. i have been reading and i believe that estrogen plays a very important role in conceiving! am i wrong? do levels get higher throughout your cycle? has anyone had troubles conceiving with low levels? . can someone take estrogen supplements?
546318 tn?1328193635 I use CBFM and I collect the sticks even after I get peak and final high I keep testing so I can read the sticks myself to see how my estrogen levels are doing. My estrogen readings from first high day are pale blue. (the paler they are the higher the estrogen levels) This month the levels have gone slightly darker from day7 past ovulation. I am on day 8dpo today. So this means that my estrogen levels are lower than they were at time of ovulation.
126702 tn?1240888250 I am on Day 6 of FSH, and on the ultrasound today, it showed a 11mm follicle on my left and a 12mm follicle on my right with other small ones. However my estorgen levels have come back really high at 928. Has anyone had this same experience? They are talking about me triggering on Thursday but I am worried it might be too early. Thanks in advance.
15522385 tn?1441143430 Has anyone else suffered from high Prolactin and if so, did your estrogen levels return to normal with treatment? Did you begin to ovulate again? Anything I should be aware of through the diagnostic process? My biggest fear is that I will never have children. Something, the only thing, that I have always known I wanted in life. If anyone has undergone treatment for elevated prolactin and then later conceived, I would love to hear your story as well!
1328473 tn?1335874467 I have read that high estrogen levels can cause "bad" eggs. We recently completed our first IVF cycle that resulted in a pregnancy but I m/c between 6-7 weeks. My RE did not have much info on why it happened. My Estrogen was 7800 at the time of retrieval, which I know is high. Can high estrogen levels cause my eggs to be bad and in turn result in the m/c?
Avatar f tn 16 is a high enough level for them to implant. With this pregnancy my prog level was only an 11 and that was taken at 14dpo. Doc did put me on 400mg prometrium until I was 12 weeks along. I am now 22 weeks and all is well. Good Luck!
Avatar n tn I think i have found that high prolactin usually goes hand in hand with high estrogen, and high estrogen can cause fibroids. I am 30 and facing needing a hysterectomy due to 4 LARGE fibroids which the docs keep telling me, "some people just grow them" without really ever checking any further. I am on a mission of sorts to learn what I can as this response does not sit well with me and i feel there has to be a root cause. HELP!
Avatar n tn t I have low levels of estrogen, but I have endometriosis? Where is the estrogen coming from and can I have high levels of FSH/LH at midcycle when I ovulate? Can cysts produce hormone? After the miscarriage the doctor removed the large cyst from my ovary and told me he found endometriosis. I never knew I had that disease and I don't suffer ANY problems from it unless it is the cause of my cysts and irregular periods???
Avatar f tn I transferred 2 5day blasts and now I am 6dpt and have questions. At 3dpt my estrogen was 308, prog over 20, and beta 4.3. I started vivelle patch and estrogen tabs, also needed an HCG booster 1/2cc. Today, I'm 6dpt and my bloodwork results were estrogen 1623, prog over 20, and HCG 86. I know my HCG is high because of the booster but does anyone have any idea how much it would have increased?
Avatar f tn Hey! My blood tests show that my testosterone is too high, though I don't know what is causing this. My doc wanted to say it is pcos but my estrogen levels are ok. And I'm very thin. Although I am breaking out from sugar and too much processed food, so maybe it has something to do with insulin intolerance? No one in my family has this problem. So what should I do, which doctor to turn to?
20922415 tn?1661860103 If pregnancy occurs, progesterone is produced in the placenta, and levels remain elevated throughout the pregnancy. The combination of high estrogen and progesterone levels suppresses further ovulation during pregnancy. Progesterone also encourages the growth of milk-producing glands in the breast during pregnancy. High progesterone levels are believed to be partly responsible for symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), such as breast tenderness, feeling bloated, and mood swings.
Avatar n tn But then the testo equations are often so confusing that only experts will be able to give a correct diagnosis of the problem. As I see, the low free testo suggests you have high levels of SHBG, which may also suggest that if SHBG were to be reduced, your estrogen level would have also gone up, as SHBG binds to both testo and estrogen.
Avatar f tn I have a 21 yr male who has low testosterone levels and high estrogen levels. He has gynecomastitis, overweight, depressed, and insomnia. Any advice on treatment option!
797256 tn?1237636468 Hello, I am writing because I have lots of symptoms of PCOS and 5 years ago I went through fertiltiy and found that I have PCOS, but now 5 years later I had my hormone levels taken just by family doctor and they say they are normal but what is normal. Can anyone help me? I don't have periods, I grow hair in places you don't want and more here are the lab results from lab. Estradiol (estrogen) 26 pg/mL FSH 5.0 mIU/mL LH 12.2 mIU/mL These are the ones they have done. What does this mean?
Avatar f tn ve been feeling the symptoms of menopause so had my levels checked. Total estrogen came back as 892 pg/ml. The doctor is telling me this is within normal limits of the lab that tested my blood. It sounds high to me and I cannot find any definite answers online. Any information is greatly appreciated as this has me worried. Thank you.
Avatar n tn I found out i have high cortisol levels form blood work. A Dr. in emerg called my house to tell me my thyriod hormone was a little low and said he'd fax something to my family Dr. My family docotor said it was fine. I asked for a copy of the lab work from emerg and it said my lymphocytes were High. I asked my doc what caused my heart rate to go to 148 at rest and my b/p was low.
Avatar n tn What are the levels I should be at with my blood test for the T3, T4, and TSH levels? Is the other medicines I'm on going to effect my thyroid hormone levels? Should I see a endocrinologist? I have not seen and endocrinologist since I was diagnoised. Anything you can assist me with would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn High levels of estrogen cause unexplained weight gain and feeling fatigued or lethargic. Low thyroid hormone is a consideration since there is family history of thyroid disease but high estrogen is a more likely cause in my opinion. A good article on high estrogen is "High Estrogen Overload Symptoms. Dangers Every Woman Should Be Aware Of" from the Healthy You Naturally website. An excerpt....
126702 tn?1240888250 Estradiol (E2) Day 3 25-75 pg/ml Levels on the lower end tend to be better for stimulating. Abnormally high levels on day 3 may indicate existence of a functional cyst or diminished ovarian reserve. Estradiol (E2) Day 4-5 of meds 100+ pg/ml or 2x Day 3 There are no charts showing E2 levels during stimulation since there is a wide variation depending on how many follicles are being produced and their size.
Avatar m tn I take a small amount of Arimidex to reduce high estrogen levels which is something to check *I think. I keep thinking there is something else missing that people who are on HRT need so if you every figure this out I would love to hear it.
