Avatar f tn So through out this whole prenancy I have been getting a yeast infection it comes and go, at first they told me to cut down on my sugar and I did, all I drink is cranberry juice and water, so now most of the time I feel dizzy light headed and vision gets a little blurry, can anyone help?
Avatar n tn One of the best ways to get rid of yeast infections, long term, is to regain rigorous control over your blood sugar. Yeast just loves a sweet moist environment, which is what female diabetics with high blood sugars provide routinely. Some antibiotics can raise our BG which is an additional challenge while being treated. Keep the area very clean and talk with your doc to review your insulin routine and your resulting blood sugars.
Avatar f tn i get them because i have GD and when your sugar gets to high and all crazy it causes yeast infections
Avatar n tn cut down on sugar (or eliminate it from your diet alltogether), at least until you're clear of the infection. Yeasts feed on sugar and can make recovery harder, and make you more vulnerable to new infections. Fruit is safe btw.
Avatar f tn you are such a wise lady to look at your health as a whole and try to be your best in that regard. High blood sugar is long known to be associated with yeast overgrowth. That does not necessarily mean diabetes but could. https://www.healthline.com/health/diabetes/diabetes-and-yeast-infections. Do you get an annual physical? If you haven't had one in awhile, it would be a great idea to schedule one. One that also includes blood work to check your blood work.
Avatar f tn A yeast infection can form in any moist part of your body. HIgh Sugar/High Carb diets cause an overgrowth of yeast in the blood also therefore causing the same problem. Neosporin IS an antibiotic ointment! Therefore it only feeding the yeast infection and making it worse. The Lotrimin or Lamisil will NOT work on its own but it does help and is soothing. ( re: the yogurt thing???
Avatar m tn Take Yeast Infection cream and put it in the area or the Fungal Cream from any drug store should clear it right up.
Avatar f tn I m Type-1 diabetic from last 15 years and my blood sugar level used to be under control but from last 2 Weeks, my sugar level fluctuates a lot. Fasting blood sugar is nearly around 300 : before dinner around 500 and after dinner its around 400.There is no change in my diet, exercise or my daily routine pattern. Even I take short acting insulin(novorapid) when my sugar level goes beyond 300 but it doesn't make much difference. I m really worried.
Avatar n tn i was told the same thing and informed that i should try to change my diet...low sugar, low gluten, high in protien, and high in fiber...it helped a ton. I started taking grape seed extract nightly to help prevent yeast infections...and i also take a probiotic 3 times a day that has at least 3 million live bactria in it...
1391959 tn?1280439862 I hate them But i need it, I cant keep fainting. I know it isnt low blood sugar because I take in a fair amount of sugar I eat a small bag of Haribo every hour and a half and drink 2 cans of coke a day an he rest... Hmmm They said another one will ring me within 3 weeks and my first apt. Been 8 weeks.
Avatar f tn Also, high blood sugar often leads to chronic yeast infections. You may want to ask your doctor to test your blood sugar to determine if that is an issue. Good luck!
Avatar m tn Hello I'm a 23 year old Male uncut penis and I've noticed that I have a Yeast infection possibly again. Last year I had one so went to the doctor office and got everything checked out Blood sugar, HIV, STD test and my CBC and WBC. I came up all good. Is it possible to have a high sugar spike for about a couple of weeks where yeast growths happens and the sugar levels out afterwards?
Avatar n tn It is high in sugar content. It is usually in the form of High Fructose Corn Syrup. Sugar feeds yeast. So, if you were to go with the cranberry treatment, don't buy the cheap commercial stuff you can get at a grocery store. Bad idea. I understand that cranberries are terribly sour. You can bypass that issue by going to the healthfood store and getting cranberry capsules. No, not cheap, but no sugar content involved.
Avatar n tn Can a yeast infection be dangerous while ur pregnant cause I think I might have one
Avatar n tn I believe I got my problem from antibiotics, I did have a very high sugar diet before this, I ate tonnes of chocolate, deserts, soda etc...and people would say I should be careful as I may get diabetes hehe so maybe that didnt help prior to the antibiotics but those anti's really pushed it over the line it seems.
Avatar n tn My sister-in-law has a terrible time with vaginal yeast infections, to the point that she has gone out of state to see specialists. This may sound ridiculous, but I do believe that yeast feeds on sugar, so perhaps if your blood sugar was under control, it would help with the yeast. I have no idea if the Rebif makes glucose fluctuate. You need to know. Something my sister-in-law always tried in addition to daily medications such as Diflucan (which is NOT usually taken daily!!), was yogurt.
Avatar m tn Regarding the sugar issue....yeast thrives with moisture and with sugar. To avoid high spikes in your blood sugar, eat fruit high in fiber and have some protein with it. Never eat fruit by itself. Avoid juice and dehydrated fruit (too much sugar). Last but not least, consider using probiotics. Best of luck to you!
Avatar n tn Hi. Did they ever check for yeast infection? Most likely yes. If you eat a diet high in sugar can sometimes cause imbalance of good vs bad bacteria. One great product that has helped many women with itchiness of the vagina is taking probiotocs daily.many doctors nowadays prescribe or recommend woman take probiotics after taking antibiotics in order to balance things out again. I even inserted a few probitics into my vagina to help get rid of yeast infection. Plus I take it everyday.
Avatar f tn This is the first time I had a yeast infection. I got a pill for it, it went away. But then it came back the next week. Did anyone go through this? Is there anything I can use?
1743990 tn?1311697836 Sounds like an infection, although what is the difficult to part. Either Yeast, UTI or BV. There are kits you can get to test yourself OTC--or if you choose you can see a doctor.
Avatar n tn otherwise known as candidiasis? It is basically yeast making you sick. The yeast is fed by sugar and carbohydrates. If you have it, then you would feel tired a lot, very tired, probably have a hard time staying focused, and you probably crave sweets or other carbohydrates? If any of these symptoms sound familiar, definitely google up, "candidiasis albicans" to see what you find. Oh, yeast can also overwhelm your system if you have a history of taking anti-biotics.
