Avatar m tn I have pain/discomfort in my left groin, area between my testicles and anus, and left butt cheek. Also have experienced nausea, mild fever, fatigue, and sexual dysfunction. Symptoms seem to come from lifting weights. Also noticed that when I have a "flare up", urination seems to ease discomfort. I've been to my doctor twice who physically checked me for a hernia and gave me a prostate exam.
5829074 tn?1375034908 One other - possibly unrelated to this pain - is that I have an inguinal hernia. Apparently this happened 6 months prior to the surgery and went undiagnosed, as I thought it (the bulge) was just related to my suprapubic catheter. I never had scrotal/testicle pain until after the surgery though. I'd be grateful for any thoughts on this. Thanks!
749700 tn?1234838207 They cannot find anything to show a hernia but I have had five hernia surgeries in the past, a small bowel obstruction repair, parathryoids removed, a mesh net put in place, a esophogeal repair. I am tired of this pain and it's getting worse, sunlight is bothering me along with noise and am tired all the time. Help!!!!!!!!!!!
1444487 tn?1284392849 I'm writing about my fiance. He had an inguinal hernia surgery (open), back in February. Here we are, 7 months later, and he's still in debilitating pain. He has a triangle of pain on the side he was operated on. It goes from his belly button to his left testicle, to his left hip. He normally was a truck driver, and did auto body work in his free time. He has literally been on the couch or in bed for 7 months.
Avatar m tn It may be associated with a hernia in your navel (umbilical hernia ). These are readily treated conditions that involve surgery with good results. Do see a specialist. Avatar n tn i am very confused i have one doctor that said i had esophagitis with hiatal hernia and one that says esophagitis with no hiatal hernia, but i have no symptons of acid reflux but they said that was the most dangerous, i do have problems with swallowing and food feeling stuck. i also have the knot in my stomach that feels like it is turning or doing flip flops. what should i do about two different diagnosis?
Avatar m tn Well, if something went wrong with the surgery it might. I'm not an expert on hernia surgery, but if there was a complication, it might cause an infection. I mean, do the blood test for herpes, but make sure it's an IgG, not an IgM. At least rule it out, I guess. It won't tell you that it's causing your symptoms. Herpes doesn't cause cramping, though. Ask the urologist for an ultrasound at least.
Avatar m tn Also pains in my lower abdomen, lower/upper back areas, frequent urination and more strange is i now feel burning pains on my last two right leg toes. I did hernia operation February 2015, i had to visit my doc cause initially i thought it was a reoccurrence but when i visited the doc that did the surgery he said i don't have problem with the surgery i did.
Avatar n tn I was doing just fine with self urination. Then I had an operation for a hernia near the groin, since the operation, i cannot self urinate and am now on a self catheterization, anyone had this problem and what was done to help it. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Avatar m tn Is this a result of surgery, the accident or both. I don’t understand how a car accident can cause a hernia.
Avatar n tn My husband had the surgery many years ago and he did just fine. You will have to take it easy for awhile though. Depending on how extensive the hernia is, I would'nt be too surprised if they do the surgery out patient. Of course you'll receive pains meds and the Dr will send you home with a script for pain meds.
Avatar n tn Yes thank you all of this intestinal stuff is new to me, was wondering if having surgery one open heart and seven months later sternum repair as I had pneumonia twice and got another repertory infection is this the reason I all of sudden have intestinal problems? Just had hernia surgery wow more painful than the heart surgery I think all that coughing did stuff to my poor body.
Avatar m tn t complete the surgery due to the large hiatal hernia I already had. The surgeons instead changed mid-course, and performed a surgey called a vertical gastrectomy. They ended up taking out most of my stomach as it was highly herniated. I did lose quite a bit of weight, and am relatively healthy since then. Since the surgery, I have developed a problem with difficulty in urination. I have gone to the urologist several times for this problem.
Avatar n tn Anyway my question is has anyone had a surgery other than the nissen fundo to repair the hernia. I am interested in having mine fixed but do NOT want my stomach wrapped around my esophagus. I'd like for a surgeon to just go in and pull the stomach to its proper position and sew up the hole in the diaphram essentially returning everything to its natural order.
Avatar f tn i m very concerned my daily activities are limited i always feel like urinating ,now i m taking sleeping pills to sleep,it has become very hard for me to sleep, especially when i come back from gym i cant stop urinating ,i also have pain in my lower back,my urologist told me that i have inagural hernia but he said that it has nothing to do with frequent urination...i would appreciate if someone can give my any clue or advice in this regard ,especially i m looking for the advice of dr.
1580703 tn?1651904887 The doctor examined me and found a groin hernia and I'm scheduled for surgery in sept. I think I want laproscopic but am I going to end up with permanent pain? will the mesh or non-tension method fail to stop the hernia from progressing? I think it's from the gym or coughing from this tracheotomy I'm getting this crippling nausea sometimes and sometimes protonix helps. is it from the hernia or diabetes or GERD? thanks!
Avatar m tn Have been on Plavix for 13 months and find I need Hernia surgery now as I am having having many problems due to the Hernia. What is the possibility of having surgery? If I have surgery is the Plavix stopped for a number of days and then resumed?
Avatar m tn I looked up things about Chlamydia, but I don't think that is the problem. The thing is, I'm not sure what it is. A bit ago i had sex with a girl, with a condom, and the condom did not break. She did give me oral, without the condom though before the sex. It's been a bit, and now sometimes My tip of the penis starts to itch I'd say here and there. There is no burning during urination, but a little maybe during ejaculation.
1103592 tn?1274753561 Any every have a hernia while pregnant? I was complaining the baby's head was so low it was hurting - saw my dr today & it turns out it's a hernia! Grrr- at least baby sounds great (got to hear her hiccups on doplar!). Guess I'll goggle hernias until my surgery consult in 2 weeks.
Avatar n tn Hi Jenny, I have a hiatal hernia, but do not require surgery...I have known about my hernia since I was in my teens. I had a few flares that required meds...but, with proper diet and lifestyle I am able to keep it under control without meds. I just got my self off meds after being on them 2 yrs....I had flares from 3 diff surgeries....the meds they use to put u under alone can upset a balanced system.
Avatar m tn I have already planned the surgery to fix the hernia for next week . 2 days ago I had an ultrasound which showed that I have gallbladder sludge and maybe some very small stones . I never had any pains in the stomach and the only thing that might be a symptoms is some digestive problems . The doctor advised that since I am going to surgery for the hernia I should proceed with the removal of the gallbladder .
