There is a manual manipulation of the hiatal hernia that may help to see if it is the hernia...at least b4 u consider surgery.....check around ur area for a chiropractor that specializes in this....but do have ur heart checked first to be sure there is nothing else going on, and that ur GI agrees.

Any every have a hernia while pregnant? I was complaining the baby's head was so low it was hurting - saw my dr today & it turns out it's a hernia! Grrr- at least baby sounds great (got to hear her hiccups on doplar!). Guess I'll goggle hernias until my surgery consult in 2 weeks.

i have hepatitis c and i've developed a hernia,, how risky is it to perform surgery on my belly buttom while i have hepatitis c.

1. How invasive is a surgery for something like this? I was reading about hernia surgery and it seems some are just done by laser - but I am guessing that mine be more involved than that? 2. If I were to get the surgery now, can I still have children later, or will it be too hard to repeat the surgical procedure once undone? I am in the Cosmetic Surgery section for this because my dr was going to set me up with a Cosmetic/General surgeon when it came time to do the surgery. Thank you!

Hmm.............I had surgery to repair a hernia last October and if I feel about 2 maybe 3 inches above my scar I can feel little round bumps too. I think it might be from your surgery?? I have never had a c-sectiion so im not sure if its normal or not but I have it from my surgery. Oh BTW my hernia was umbilical so my scar is around my belly button.

Cherie sorry about the misinformation, my wife has both a hernia and fibroids however only the fibroids are in the uterus the hernia is not in the uterus it is a normal hernia

I had a double hernia surger (lower abdomen & between my ribs) both on top of old scars. Now, 8 months later, I have had an Ultrasound, CT, MRCP all indicating Chronic Pancretitis. I am scheduled for an ERCP. I am not nor have been a drinker and I have had no trauma to my abdomen (except the hernia surgery. I don't feel as if I fully recovered from the hernia surgery. Could a hernia surgery or the scar tissue from that lead to pancretitis or dammage to my pancrease?

I have (related to transflap surgery 2 years ago) a hernia, only recently diagnosed. I have had a large amount of fluid there for months and it is difficult breathing when I bend over or by the end of the day when the fluid accumulates, both hands spread over the area where fluid is accumulated will not cover the size of the area. How common is it to be diagnosed with Acid Reflux (GERD) when one was diagnosed with a sliding hiatus hernia? I was diagnosed with the hiatus hernia yesterday when I had an upper endoscopy and my GI doctor took biopsies to check for GERD, celiac disease and some other things. I was just wondering how common it is to have a hiatus hernia and also GERD or to have GERD and also a hiatus hernia.

1- Go for a good urologist and surgeon using laparoscopic surgery which provides faster wound recovery and leaves no scars, as opposed to regular surgery which takes longer to heal the wound, and leaves a 2-3 inch c-section like scar in your groin area. 2- If money is an issue, get it done at an outside surgery facility not in a hospital, its cheaper, and has a lesser chance of infection... some hernia centers/ OBGYNs/Urologists and such have their own surgery facilities.

I had a section in 2011 then hernia surgery in 2012 and 2013 then my appendix out and my other surgery scars hurt a lot but my section scar hasn't hurt more than just a little burn here or there...

Havent been back to the doctor in a while for them to try to figure it out because usually all they would do is give me more acid reducers and send me on my way if all the tests came back good. A year after my surgery on one of my scars from one of the incision it itched and was swelled up it scared me but it barly itched and the swelling didnt last very long so I thought I just got bite by something. A few months later it happend again on the exact same incision.

I have had to hernia repairs one 20 years ago, and one eight years ago. I occasionally have these Pinchy pains near the scars from my surgeries. Is it anything to be concerned about?

scars on legs...knees..............is there something I can use to fade these scars away without surgery?? Ive heard of....fresh lemons rubbed on the scar to help fade them away...however never tried it...again........information...home remedies...creams that youve heard of would be a huge help.

Since being tested for an incisional hernia from which I have a few scars on my stomach from a previous accident they have also found out I have an enlarged prostate. I'm wondering if the two are correlated ? The hernia has been ruled out. I've had blood and urine test done . As well I'm waiting on a CT scan. As you can imagine I'm running every scenario through my mind. Any help with similar problems will be much appreciated!!

I have an appendectomy scar on the top of my belly button and a cholecystectomy(gall bladder surgery) scar on the bottom. Are they going to stretch or tear? They're already getting tight and my doc didn't say anything so i'm gonna assume they'll be fine. Just like some wisdom from those in the same situation.

hi... when i was 8 year years old i had a surgery under my eye,,, now scars are left under my eye.. i want to do a laser treatment.... so that i can get rid off from my scars... i dont like it really... its on my face and i feel complex.... plz tell me and give me tha good advice.... i want to get rid from this scars...

Is this a result of surgery, the accident or both. I don’t understand how a car accident can cause a hernia.

My husband had the surgery many years ago and he did just fine. You will have to take it easy for awhile though. Depending on how extensive the hernia is, I would'nt be too surprised if they do the surgery out patient. Of course you'll receive pains meds and the Dr will send you home with a script for pain meds.
