I noticed a short list of suggested doctors specializing in Chiari in Canada. My adult daughter has been diagnosed with Chiari and lives in Ottawa. Is there a good neurologist and/or neurosurgeon in the Ottawa area that anyone would recommend? I noticed an Aug 6/10 post from someone who mentioned they had a good neurosurgeon in the Ottawa area but the name wasn't noted. Thanks very much in advance!

Hi and welcome to the chiari forum. I am not familiar if there is a chiari specialist in Canada that treats chiari 0......not too many here in the states either. U can send copies of ur MRI's to a chiari specialist for review...many will do this for a minimal fee.Once u have a dx and know for a fact there is not a NS in ur country, then ur health system may allow ur coming to a NS here..... Glad to have u join our little family here, sorry the reason u had to seek us out.

5 earthquake yesterday in Ontario and a tornado also in Ontario which pretty much devestated a smaller town there. Everything has come at once. I do not think Wisconsin is on a fault line, I believe it was the shocks coming from us. Then again, I can't remember ever having an earthquake in that part of our country...very strange. I'm sorry for you beyond words. I'm also in ontario canada and have lost faith in the way our practitioner s seem to operate. It sounds like somewhere along the way a nerve was Inflammed causing the numbness. I recommend seeing your family physician If you are so inclined document everything consult an attorney. More people need to bring to public attention what is happening with dentists in this country.
